May 27,2021Ordered a 6 burner stove, paid extra for delivery as I needed it quickly. Placing the order and paying was simple enough but no confirmation of delivery was provided. I placed the order on Wednesday and paid for guaranteed delivery for Friday. Had to make a few phone calls on Fri morn to chase delivery and was told it would be between 2 and 4. I called at 4.30 because it still hadn't arrived and my contractor was about to leave but found an automated service directing me to email customer services because Ascot closes at 3.30. How is that helpful? I am still waiting for a response a week after sending the email as directed. It finally arrived at 4.50 and was delivered by a grumpy unhelpful and very rude individual. I appreciate traffic issues etc which impact on delivery times but Ascot were very reassuring when I made the enquiry about next day delivery and promised an early delivery guaranteed to arrive on Friday. It did arrive on Friday but I had no was of knowing when because they have no system in place to do this. A call by the driver with an ETA would have been very useful. I would never have used Ascot if I had known this. They are keen to take your money but need to invest in a better delivery system.it has cost me substantially more with payment for delivery and additional contractor hours because he had to come back to finish the work held back by the late delivery. Topped of with a lack of acknowledgement of my email. Very bad customer service and I would suggest you avoid and spend your money elsewhere.

Apr 24,2021I’m only writing this because I was asked to. Rung abs spoke to office about fridge I wanted, ordered, took payment, 2 days later was rung to say they actually can’t get it. And they have nothing else to replace it with (apart from a fridge which was £500 more expensive) I was then left without my ££££ so had to spend more money on another fridge from elsewhere and wait for the refund to come through

Mar 17,2021I ordered a griddle on 7th March and once I’d paid I never heard anything. On 11th March TNT left a card saying they’d tried to deliver my griddle. I had not been told it would be coming or given any indication of what was happening. I then went on TNT website and re-arranged a delivery for Monday 15th- but although I stayed at home all day no delivery was made. I rang Ascot and firstly I was told they don’t use TNT so the card can’t be from their delivery, then after checking I was told it would be coming direct from Lincat and gave me numbers to contact TNT to arrange another delivery. I rang them on 16th March and was told it would be out for delivery that day but did not explain why it had not been delivered on the Monday as I requested, I just got an apology. I explained I would be at work on the 16th so no one would be home so in the end I agreed to them leaving it in a safe place. Not happy that a griddle costing over £300 had to be left outside but with me working there was no way I’d get it otherwise. So after over a week I finally got my griddle. I’m just so glad it was a replacement for a working griddle I already have and not to replace one that had broken down !!!! I would not use this company again as lack of correspondence was just not good enough... I’ve had more emails and correspondence buying a pair of jeans!!!!

I recently had cause to ask for a refund (I had ordered the incorrect items) and without any questions, Ascot accepted my returned items and provided a full refund. This level of customer service and ease of purchasing is rare, and it makes me very keen to use Ascot again in the future. I would very confidently recommend Ascot Wholesale to any organisation looking for cookware / glassware products.
