Cultural Care Au Pair is the largest au pair agency in the U.S., celebrating over 30 years matching au pairs with American families for a unique cultural exchange and childcare experience. Host families choose Cultural Care as their trusted source for flexible, reliable childcare that feels like part of the family. Au pairs benefit from the largest network of Local Childcare Consultants to support their cultural exchange experience. Families appreciate being able to schedule up to 45 hours per week and up to 10 hours per day of childcare when they need it.
By far the best agency in terms of finding an au pair. They have great matching specialists who genuinely care about the au pairs and the host families. Highly recommend.
I would caution all host families against using Cultural Care. Cultural Care is known for advertising this program to au pairs as a travel experience. Most of the au pairs come to the country with little interest in providing quality childcare. I received very little support from the agency, and the Local Care Consultants here in the Dallas Forth Worth (DFW) area are wholly unresponsive. Cultural Care habitually omits critical medical information (all my au pairs had thyroid, PCOS, and mental health issues). Rematch documents were incredibly biased to make au pair appear as competent caregivers. Lastly, never pay in full. Cultural Care has been known to unfairly terminate host families of special needs kids or on hearsay from its LCCs, in effort to scam families out of 40% of the program fees. My personal experience in the DFW area has been abysmal. I would strongly recommend going with Au Pair Care for better support and a 60 day full refund policy, especially if you are in the Collin County area.
Sometimes it can be quite difficult to find a good family but I am sure they exist. I am grateful to the Cultural Care program for supporting me at every stage of the process and especially to the local representatives who do an extraordinary job.
Great constant communication!
Great communication and follow up. Easy to use. Always positivity from the team.
The au pair program through Cultural Care (CC) offers the opportunity for cultural exchange while welcoming a “big sister” to care for your children who can adapt to changing seasonal schedules. The flexibility of childcare hours is so helpful! The LCC/coordinator is fabulous; supportive to both families and au pairs, and plans in-person activities and zoom chats to support and engage au pairs.
Easy so far.
Amazing experience. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. This is my first time and Emily and Rebecca have just been great!
The cultural exchange and flexibility of the program are awesome overall! We have hosted for nearly 4 years with 3 different au pairs, all of which we consider family. You really get what you put into the program; however, for the minimal amount of actual help from the company when it comes to ability to answer critical questions at a local level in addition to scam pricing in a post covid world (paying for costly flight transfer fees to a *virtual* training school for at least 3 years, for example), the program fees are extremely overpriced, and the au pairs do not get paid enough... There is an unfair, imbalance of money that both host families and au pairs can agree on. I hope cultural care can deeply consider this major cost issue so the program does not dissolve in the next year - it would truly be a shame!
Our LCC was great! The list of applicants is huge but worth it. We have officially matched with our Au Pair and she is scheduled to arrive in January.
Very limited help and involvement in the process from cultural care. If we weren’t determined to get an au pair we would not follow through with the process
Cultural Care does a great job supporting families in their search for an au pair. When we couldn't decide between two candidates -- both wonderful -- the Cultural Care Matching Specialist asked us great questions that really helped us hone in on what was most important to our family.
Quality candidates, thorough screening, great support staff
Always helpful. Au pairs you screen for are amazingly high quality people. We just hired our 12th.
Great support from Cultural Care for both host families and our au pairs. Excellent communication
We love hosting an Au Pair through Cultural Care! It’s a great way to introduce your children to a new culture, learn/practice another language, and have a trusted childcare partner. I would highly recommend the experience!
Disgustoso e traumatico.
Terrible experience. Very bad experience with Robyn from Boston office . She made up false statements for aupairs. She lied a lot . Not helpful at all. She was the reason we almost left the program as well as few other families that she was in touch with .
Las chicas que me han atendido han sido super majas y han estado ahí en todo momento, recomiendo utilizar como agencia Cultural Care.

Dec 11,2023Our Au pair couldn’t be more amazing! I would Give her 10 stars. We are in the process of getting a new Au pair though and I do wish there was a bit more communication on how things are going after the match has been processed whether it be updates on training, visas, etc.
