Aug 16,2022This unit was a great price and reasonably easy to install. I received it on Monday and I installed the inside units Monday night. It took me 2 hours for that. On Tuesday night I installed the cooling unit outside on the shelf bracket. It took 1.5 hours. On Wednesday night I installed the electrical power to the shutoff at the outside unit. It took 2 hours. Then on Thursday night I installed the line sets for my two units and hooked up the electrical. I released the coolant for the Line set and checked for leaks, there were none. I turned on the electrical and went thru the start up procedures. This took 1.5 hours to do. Everything worked great! About 7 hours for an inexperienced person to install. There are several installation videos on Utube. I took my time so it may have taken longer for me. It was a positive experience. We love the cool air, the units are very quiet.

Aug 12,2022The DIY is a great offer with videos how to install. It needs instructions with how to replace in case it doesn’t work or changes. Responses of technicians are excellent. MRCOOL needs local representatives to deal with troubling cases. I having difficulties to find out mal functions of valves in condenser. It has a good potential to capture market share to overcome regulation of EPA 608.

Aug 07,2022Ordered a 36k condenser, 24k wall unit and 2x9k wall units. Shipped within days and received great tracking info. Everything arrived in perfect condition and is up and running perfectly. Couldn't be happier with the result. Another stockist was charging over $800 more plus tax for the exact same product. Cool mini splits were awesome from day one. Highly recommended

Only hiccups were being sent two wrong line sets (length and size reversed on two of the five line sets), and my electrician advised the connection block was undersized (sized for 12 gauge instead of 10). But I’m in Canada so code could be slightly different than US, and Mr Cool sent out the correct line sets. I got it all hooked up and connected and it works like a dream. 36K HP, three heads (24K-12K-12K). Line set covers ended up being a pretty big expense given I ran over 100ft of lines to all three heads, and I needed extra sets to get elbows that I couldn't buy as “one offs”. HP is quieter than expected which is a bonus. Would recommend to anyone who is comfortable and confident in their abilities with repair and maintenance, whether you’ve ever even attempted a project like this before or not.

Sep 02,2022We were installing a Mr. Cool minisplit with two air handlers and realized we needed a different length charged line so we ordered that and it came within one week. But because this is DIY, we didn't realize we also needed the electric line and the connectors and had to order those and wait another week. So the products arrived quickly. However, with all this DIY systems, it would be great when ordering a part like the charged line, if the company remind you that additional parts may be needed and direct you to those when ordering. It would have saved us about 10 days in the extreme heat. Now the system is in and it works great, so no issue there.
