Feb 11,2021So far my experience couldn't be stated in a more positive light: my early experiences with the program and the staff have completely rejuvenated my faith in higher education. The topics are fascinating and relevant, the instructors are competent and insightful, the variety and quality of media in which the course material is presented empowers me to learn and to develop questions. The only constructive feedback I would have at this point (I'm only 9% of the way in and quite possibly haven't come across it yet) is to integrate the course portal with the chat feature to make the course more interactive. Maybe open it up to online students, foster more collaboration in the self-paced environment. Awesome stuff!

The course is structured in flexible, self paced modules that fit well for someone with a hectic or changing schedule. I enjoyed and benefited from studies of the content material and am pleased with the product. All up, a worthwhile investment for someone looking to increase their skill, brush up on old skills and get ahead into emerging fields of law enforcement.

Along the way I've learned many things, used many tools to work successfully in both fields until I retired in 2014. I was impressed by the programs offered for the past 5 years I was aware of them by McAfee, and they are complete and spot on with the applicability of the content and the scope of influence they provide once you have completed the course, any course! With hard work comes great rewards, with hard study and as immersive as McAfee courses are, this is the PERFECT time to start a new course or pickup and new skill. We were without power and water for 38 hours, 36 hours the first storm. Now back on track, no burst pipes, a little lost sleep and because we were prepared, like I am usually, for disasters, we were minimally impacted. Feb 06,2021As a retired chief of police, I was looking to get back into work in the private sector. Although I had extensive training in the past on a wide variety of topics during my career, I wanted to ensure I had the latest training and information available prior to taking a corporate security manager/director position. I found the McAfee Institute filled those needs perfectly. I studied at my own pace, downloaded all of the material which I often refer to as time progressed. I found the course I took invaluable to my needs.

Feb 03,2021Took the CECI course and several comments. There were good sections and there were sections that could have been left out as they had no relevance or the presenters were not good. The good information was very good. There was duplicate information in many of the modules but overall not a distraction. The biggest problem would be the outdated software that was used in the course, programs referenced and shown as to how to do cyber investigations versions were old, outdated statistics (dating to 2012 -2014 vintage) and demographics. The basic investigations skills shown and basic information was good.

Feb 03,2021The course was incredibly comprehensive. The level of detail went far beyond what I expected...in a very good way. As a security professional and investigator for over 20 years I can say that there was so much I didn't know. I'll be a better investigator and leader as a result. The course consists of a great deal of video and reading assignment, which helped to break it up. While some may know some of the content, it's unlikely that you will take this course and not learn a great deal of new techniques and best practices. Worth every penny.
