Jan 04,2025Completed online form for more information and was contacted within 24 hours. They call you and thoroughly explain the process of matching with a tutor and answer any questions. It’s not a high pressure sales pitch but an opportunity to ask questions and I found the whole intake process to be very straightforward. I was immediately sent pricing and learned how flexible the program is in regards to frequency and hours needed. My son finds the tutor he matched with helpful and we were quickly matched up with someone. I thought it would be more difficult because it is AP Statistics, but it was surprisingly easy! The platform used is an awesome resource (AI features, etc) so we are getting more than the weekly tutoring session included at no charge. It is very reassuring that we are able to add sessions around testing and exams if needed.

Jan 03,2025I am certainly learning about how to speak Italian properly...grammatically speaking. I am understanding the WHY certain verbs, adjectives, and pronouns are formed and why they vary as to singluar, plural, male, and female. My tutor is patient and very knowledgeable. She is also rendering services and support far beyond the tutor job description.

Jan 01,2025My son was signed up for two months twice per week for ACT prep and the results were less than desirable. For a student who is on an AP track and a National Honor Society student the preparation provided by Varsity Tutors was unacceptable. There is no monitoring, accountability, or tracking of the progress of the student or the quality of the tutor. Nor did they follow up to inquire about the outcome and next steps. I would not recommend a company for standardized test preparations. Look for private institutions who are invested in your child doing well.

Jan 01,2025I was just considering my options when i went to varsity tutors, looking to find the best place to find a tutor. Their website does not make it easy to simply gain information and requires you create a full account with lots of personal information, AND THEN doesn't even let you look for information yourself. After creating my account they have called me every single day which i consider borderline harassment.

Dec 31,2024We contacted Varsity Tutors 2 years ago to get a twice weekly reading tutor for our 1st grader who was struggling to keep up. They have been wonderful to work with and we have had our tutor for over a year now. My son is now in the 3rd grade and is scoring in the 90th percentile for reading comprehension. We did change our plan to the once weekly sessions due to cost. I like that we can also sign up for group classes in the summer for no extra charge.

Dec 30,2024This company is horrible. I signed up and they took 299.00 and set me up with a tutor. The tutor never showed up, never contacted me. This happened twice in a row, so they gave me a free hour. Then the tutor once again never showed up or contacted me. Then they tried to renew my subscription without consent. This company is unreliable, unprofessional and the worst experience i have had yet. Don't waste your money.

Dec 30,2024Robert S is amazing for my son. I must say that this is the second time I have used Varsity Tutors and the first time I didn’t get as fortunate to find the perfect tutor right away. In fact, I had several IT issues and we never found a great match in 2019. Fast forward to 2024, there have been significantly less IT issues and Robert was the first tutor we were given, he is OUTSTANDING for my son! After this standardized test, we will continue working with Robert! It’s the tutors that make all the difference in the world! I can work through IT issues for the right cause and Robert S is MORE than work any efforts to get linked up!
