Sandeep Kumar has been a great tutor for our daughter while prepping for her SAT's
My tutor for my 6 year old is so patient and helps keep my son on task. His attention span will only allow for a half hour session, but she does a wonderful job of keeping him engaged. After six sessions, my child who does not like school is still loving tutoring. She’s helping him build his confidence in himself.
The overall experience was fantastic
Tutor was excellent, he really made algrebra2 easier to understand for my so
I enjoyed the group classes and my tutor. I look forward to coming back. But customer service needs a little more work. When someone cancels in enough time he/she should be diligent to the task. No one should never have to be concerned about that. But once contacted after cancellation to cancel after deduction payment the matter was handled expeditiously. Thank You Ms. Kay.
My child feels like they are learning more with the one on one's
Amazing experience! My son had a really great experience with the tutor and we both get a chance to take other classes that are covered by the same membership!
Could no longer deal with the incompetence of the staff. Tutors just don’t show or cancel without notice. We loved the tutors we had for my son, when we could actually get (and keep) one on a regular basis. I don’t even think the tutors liked working there. My kid didn’t learn very much.
I want to say a big thank you to my tutor, Kaylee Speirs. Her patience and personalized approach to helping me with my Anthropology college assignment not only helped me learn and understand the subject but also boosted my confidence and equipped me with skills that will help me in my other courses. I truly appreciate her help and support!
Inflexible cancellation policy. Resolved thank you
The Tutor connects well with my son and he feels he is getting a lot out of the sessions. We are very satisfied so far.
Have been with Varsity for a few years, now. They have helped my kids with different core subjects.
Great individualized experience with tutoring
Kisha was extremely helpful in setting up a tutor for my son in Physics. She was pleasant and understood what I was looking for in a tutor. I will not hesitate to reach out to Varsity Tutors again if the need arises. Thank you Varsity Tutors!
My tutor is Jennifer and she is helping me from the basics to college algebra. She is very patient, thorough and very relatable. I could not ask for a better tutor. The whole VT team is so supportive, the website is wonderful, even the AI tutor is great.
We resolved a complicated bunch of problems and I am satisfied.
I had some initial challenges with VT and those were remedied fairly quickly. I was given excellent attention by their customer service and most importantly, my son was given the proper tutoring support he needed along with great oversight by the VT team.
My tutor, Patrick, has been exceptional. He helps find my weaknesses and works on them as we go.
I urgently needed to find a tutor for my son and contacted Varsity Tutors on a Saturday. I signed the contract through my phone—I was not even given a chance to read it—and paid for one month of service, but I was not informed that it would automatically renew. When the second month began, I was charged $499 again without warning. When I called to request a refund, I was informed that their policy does not allow refunds and that I should have canceled the service at least seven days in advance. I had no idea that I had signed up for recurring payments, which has now put me in a difficult situation with my mortgage because I sent my payment without knowing that my account was $499 less. This experience has left me frustrated. It's unfair to structure payments this way, especially for parents already managing tight budgets. A phone call to remind about recurring payments or some form of awareness should be a standard part of Varsity doing business. This kind of practice can leave customers feeling taken advantage of, especially when they are unaware of recurring payments or hidden fees. It’s essential for companies to ensure a fair and respectful relationship with their customers. Regarding tutors, the first one were changed because my son could not understand his accent. The second one left because she found a new job, and we ended up with a third tutor. The last two tutors were okay, but unfortunately, they work for a company that takes advantage of parents.

Sep 24,2024My initial tutoring session had some internet connection issues, but the second session was great. The tutor was very informed, explained things clearly, and asked me questions to better understand want I what to learn. I learned a lot, with more sessions to come.
