An access course is a one-year Level 3 diploma course that can also be studied part time over two or more years. The course prepares adult students and gives them the entry requirements (UCAS points) needed for degree level study. Access to HE diplomas are equivalent to three A Levels.

Feb 05,2025This access course has been a great step towards heading to University. The course is self-paced with the ability to set realistic goals and the online recordings are excellent. It has been useful in learning how to reference and manage your time effectively. The topics are very interesting.

Feb 05,2025The course covers lots of areas and is updated regularly, the staff are helpful and often respond within a day, if not on the same day. The resources are online for you to look at so you can study at your own pace and do research. :)

Feb 04,2025Very encouraging environment, tutors are helpful. Course is entirely self-paced and flexible. Course could be better and more clearly structured (eg no timeline given for when units would be assigned, units assigned which do not correspond with study plan given etc).

Feb 04,2025A great online Access course with supportive and understanding tutors who are responsive over chat if needed. The learning materials are excellent and there is a really good blend of in person classes as well as recorded material which allows you to go at your own pace. Marking of assignments can be a little slow and it seems to get done in bulk so a bit tricky to take on board any feedback to help you to improve your mark if needed for your next assignement but the feedback is thorough and informative. Laura and Jemma have been particularly supportive throughout my time on the course and give realistic advice which is helpful. It enables you to push on with the course if there are any hurdles. Thanks for all of your help so far

Dec 12,2024Highly recommended as a student, multiple things such as being able to receive feedback and help when needed or Staff members reaching out to contact efficiently despite being an online course its done in a way that there are little to no issues. In terms of content more specifically, (for me is Nursing) they start up with the basics around A-level Biology teaching step by step and providing resources if stuck in a bottleneck. Overall is highly recommended and a very positive course

My tutor, Martyna was amazing, she helped to build my confidence and get me to realise my potential. I am amazed that I have accomplished so much and feel ready for university. I now have the skills to be able to write essays confidently and don’t feel that I am behind other students. The feedback’s teacher helped me a lot to improve my assignments, he was very patient, since English is my second language and I could talk to other students. Watching the recording videos was very helpful to understand what to focus on.It was challenging, but I had good grades and I feel more confident going to uni.
