Aug 21,2022I recently had a car accident resulting in injuries to bones and organs. I was only in hospital for three nights, so was not eligible to make a claim. My injuries could not be treated immediately in hospital ie sternal fracture, L3 fracture (backbone), tears to liver and spleen, so I was sent home after only 3 days and nights. However, they were serious enough to stop me from working for 12 weeks. Accident insurance should take this into consideration. I believe that in today's world, where hospitals send people home as quickly as possible, these policies are out of date. If you do not spend more than three nights in hospital you cannot make a claim. I have paid this insurance for over 10 years.

Oct 20,2020Do check your your policy Exclusions I have just cancelled an accidental Accident policy that I took out with Avon in 2003. Be aware when you reach 65 yrs all benefit pay outs halve and at the age of 75 the policy ends.... when you may need hospitalisation or have an accidental fall etc.,

Jul 22,2019Avon insurance wrote to me in writing that me and my daughter were both insured for 300,000 , long as death occured in the home on accident basis if the death occured outside the house than Avon payout is 75,000 each insured person , l wanted to take a policy for my youngest daughter they said wait till she reaches the age , than l rang up Avon when she reached the required age Avon insurance said we are not taking on anymore persons l said ok , than l rang up Avon insurance after a few years l asked them to be transparent in your policy, than they rang me me up and said we made a mistake on your elder daughter she is only insured for 75,000 pounds l said l have the original contract they still wouldn't correct than , they said to me how much am l paying l said what's that got to do with what we signed up for the policy is quite clear you keep on changing your mind l said the original matters so that was it , Now they are saying that even me l am only entitled to 75,000 in the home or not so far as l see they conned me out of 150,000 in total if anything happens to me and my daughter as a family unit see how they operate l am still not happy with them my only option is high court and Avon has to pay the costs they said we have no record of 150,000 for each total of 300,000 l said to them let the courts decision be the final l like to see justice here .

Sep 27,2023Very professional, courteous staff members who listen and are sympathetic to what you are saying. I was kept informed about the progress of the claim all the way through by email or letter. The sum claimed won’t bring my sight back, but at least the smooth claim process didn’t add to the stress of my situation. Really impressed with this company, I would definitely recommend them.
