We might not be the lowest priced seller on the Internet, but sometimes it can be better to pay a little more and have peace of mind, knowing that if you do have a problem after parting with your money, it will 100% for sure, be sorted out.

Ordered an item on 15th Feb, asked for confirmation of dispatch as it was to Norway, nothing. Emails sent 20th and 27th Feb, no response. Phone calls no reply, even left messages, until he decided to pickup the phone on 0th Mar. Said item was not in stock, so he would refund the money straight away. Still no money, 6 emails sent, 3 phone calls with no response. As it was under £100, not covered by credit card, spoke to CAB, open a dispute, so lets now wait and see. Takes money, does not deliver, stay clear. 1 star well deserved here.
We are taking our owl out to our property in Portugal that has residents pigeons. As the property has not been occupied full time the flock has grown. Fingers crossed this very authentic 'Boris' Owl will solve the problem, will keep you informed.

The smoke fumigator a arrived quickly and did the job of killing bed bugs, but one failed to light and we had to send it back for a replacement.

It took a couple of days longer that expected to arrive, but nothing worth complaining about.
BEWARE! I can only agree with the review by Simon Batt as I am exactly in the same situation that he describes. On 23 January I placed two consecutive orders of 60 pounds total value. My card was debited immediately. On the 30th January when I expected the order to be delivered (they promise Royal Mail 1st class), I got a message that it had been dispatched without any excuses or at least explanations for the delay. The seller also combined two orders into one parcel, forgetting to refund me the postage for the second order. By 7 February I got nothing from Bill Pilkington which is below standards even for the Second Class mail. Thus I e-mailed him on the 7th about the problem. So far I got no reply for him. As I am a law student, after statutory 30-days reserved for delivery I am going to start legal proceedings against him claiming not only expenses, but damages as well. So, do not rely on his statements "You can be assured of a prompt and professional service at all times". It seems that he does not care about his clients or his reputation. A specialist in pest control knows that if one has a pest problems, the time is at essence, as pest spreads fast. He should have simply acknowledge the unavailability of the item and cancel the order so that I could use other service. If you look at eBay reviews of the seller there is half-a-dozen reviews with similar problems: he takes money but sends nothing. Update: After having placed a negative review (not after e-mailing him), Mr. Pilkington e-mailed me that the items were not on their shelves and he would refund me straight away. So, when he earlier e-mailed that the item had been dispatched he was simply lying. Of course, he did not refund me as promised. I had to send a registered letter to get refunded. Even though he refunded 5 days after the deadline I had set up for him. As a result of this seller's service I lost money on currency conversion (my card is not in British pounds), time and my pest problem aggravated also. There are retailers who sell cheaper, faster and who are more reliable on this market. Mr. Pilkington is the worst e-seller I have seen since I started buying on-line since 1997.
It was a refreshing change to be able to talk with someone about my problem. Goods ordered (smoke fumigators), goods arrived and did the job.

Fast delivery of the ultrasonic cat repeller. Unfortunately, our over-night pest turned out to be a Fox, so had to send the unit back. No probelm for a refund.

Ordered an item costing £30+ three weeks ago. Waited over a week but didn't hear anything from them. I sent them a couple of emails with order number etc. politely enquiring where my item is/was... had no reply whatsoever. Luckily I paid using Paypal so, after two weeks had passed, I opened a Paypal dispute. One week later I have just been refunded by Paypal - Bestpestcontrol.co.uk did not even respond to the Paypal dispute! Would never use or recommend this company again... ever. An update... I can categorically state that no one from Best Pest Control contacted me by email or by telephone. So the fact that Bill has stated otherwise speaks volumes. I have no axe to grind here - I just expected better service from this company (or any company for that matter)... or at least some kind of service, I received nothing at all. Maybe I did fall through a crack in their customer service but that is all I can judge Bill and his company on. 1 star = "unacceptable experience" and that is exactly what it was.
Good all round service with the personal touch.
Will not be able to test the mole deterrent until March but it arrived swiftly from Best Pest control and i am ready for action.

I rang on Saturday afternoon on the off-chance and Bill answered it and gave helpful and straightforward advice. We should all deal with people who give customer service like that. I certainly will (and subsequently did).
