This is a comment for the entire service of the backup care and the in-home child care. It is the 4th time i have tried to use the backup care for my 1y daughter and again it got cancelled or they couldn't find a carer even though i have given notice. What is the point of an emergency backup care if you dont have enough carers to provide support, even with notice. Eg for the last request, the carer was confirmed but they cancelled a couple of hours before the start time and you were not able to provide a carer, again. I will letting my employer know that it pointless for them to keep paying for this service.

I would not recommend this nursery. The staff are mostly pleasant in the 2 branches I've experienced but they have no way of capturing and taking onboard parent feedback (either that or just don't care). Concerns or suggestions are readily dismissed and they have a rigid form of management which is very inflexible. Of most concern is the inability and lack of properly trained and experienced staff to identify and appropriately support children with special needs. No real structure in place to support, wont apply for funding and wont make referals to specialist services.

Something to note about this nursery is the lack of diversity with their staff. Bright Horizons UK staff is not diverse at all. This makes me wonder how they are promoting diversity and inclusion with the children in their care if there is no diversity in their staff team. Representation matters. It would be nice to see Black, Asian and people from other ethnic minority groups in your staff team.

I'm amazed this company is still operating tbh the Horsham nursery is so badly managed its unreal...... Even a staff member has pulled their kid out of this nursery..... ofsted recently visited I assume its bad new as no communication to parents about this.... and this week they haven't got any staff apparently so have completely shut down the toddler room... I'm glad I got a new place for my son with busy bees its more out the way for me but worth it for reliability of childcare I'm a single mother trying to maintain a career but this company shuts last minute and the communication its awful! Don't bother getting involved with this company and I don't recommend the Horsham bright horizons nursery at all! You mess with my career.... I really hope this company goes down the toilet because reading these other reviews I'm not surprised by any of them at all..... they don't care and now I don't care about you or any of your staff..... deserve to go under also read up one nursery killed a toddler too!

The worst childcare company ever!!! no communication with the bill department/ account holders. In-existent customer service in order to get answers!! GETTING charged different fees throughout the whole year my child was with them. each time i emailed them or write to them no answer. Nursery manager could not help me as she asked me to keep waiting. Six month plus later no call, post or email i get a text from debt collectors with double the amount i own them and still no one to speak to, whom can give me answers or help in order to paid my bill ridiculous!!!

The Backup Care voucher scheme from Bright Horizons is bad news if you are a nursery. They don't accept your invoices, only in their own format. They pay you a lump sum without sending remittance advice and telling you for what children or just they don't pay you at all. They owe us thousands of Pounds but of course, we cannot charge the parents because we don't even know what children's extra days are still outstanding. We no longer accept this scheme and we warn others. AVOID

Fast turn over of staff. Our child never wanted to go in and ran out the door so quick at the end of the day. The staff seemed to have no idea of a child's needs. Often phoned us to say can you collect as he had a runny nose or a cold so must be covid not allow back for 10 days but yet still CHARGED even after pcr tests came back negative. They charge full price even when the school was closed which is rubbish, paying for nothing!!! Would recommend looking else where. Head office never reply to email, I am still waiting after 20 emails about charges and actual time spent in the nursery. A very commercial lead nursery where your child's needs don't matter!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This nursery messed me around with timings meaning I missed my return to work date and had to use up all my mat leave holiday allowance in one go; they took my preschooler without once seeking information on him prior to him starting - I had to send him in on his first day with a hand written letter introducing him and his likes/dislikes/toilet situation etc; they went to great lengths to make me sign every single food I was happy for my 1yo to eat, accepted he needed to be dairy free and then came back a couple of weeks later and told me I had to get written proof from a doctor that he should be dairy free. When I asked what would happen if I didn’t, they said they would report me to head office. I could never get a clear figure on how much their charge was per month and they consistently gave me inaccurate charges (excluding our free hour allowance) and were impossible to get hold of to discuss finances. When I finally had enough and withdrew both kids, I chased and chased to get final invoice. The manager finally told me what it was and I paid it. 6 months later, after no communication from them, I have just been contacted by debt collectors saying I owe them money. This company is shamefully badly run and should not be trusted with children. It is purely focused on maximising fees, minimising costs, and doing the bare minimum to support the children. At the next nursery we joined the staff told us completely independently that the BH staff are aware it’s just all about the profit. Avoid at all costs.

Very poor service. Most of the time they don’t have availability. So they shouldn’t claim to be emergency back up care. Also most of the nannies are inexperienced and untrained! Terrible if you think you can leave them alone with your kids. Don’t waste your time!

The service is unacceptable, nannies are very incompetent and can do more harm than good. There are no rattings for nannies and customer most often gets a nanny randomly allocated. Randomly means that they get all the left overs as good nannies are often preoccupied. This is a parttime job for nannies that can't get a full time on their own in the expense of the family taking the risk. AVOID THE RISK

I have received an advertising email from Emma’s diary saying that they are offering FREE stay and play sessions so I wanted to take the opportunity to see the nursery if it’s suitable for my little one. I had to call them as no one replied my online enquiry but no one answered. They called be back and I was told that they don’t do any of the sessions advertised. I was told that I am not allowed to see the nursery and I would need to leave my child at the entrance. How wierd is that? I will definitely avoid Tabard Street nursery and the company!

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at this nursery chain. They have serious issues with cleanliness, attention to children, and communication with parents. We moved to another nursery and we only then realized how bad it was. Note: the baby room was good and we had fewer issues there.

Useless back-up care service. You book a back-up care service but they have no availability most of the times you ask in the Canary Wharf area. So why do you exist if you cannot provide the service you advertise?

To the parents: My child had been this nursery for two years. And the manager in east barnet London not a caring person. She did not help parents with payments and ignoring my emails and calls during the lockdown. I was trying to pay the nursery every month by email and phones. She just totally igored me for 6 months. Her behavior already made me the loss for the universal credit which is about 3000 pounds because of her carelessness. She always tried to explain the matter was not her fault. Do not send your child to this nursery. Totally unhelpful and try to avoid their responsibility. I would like to give 0 star on this nursery!

This is an absolute superb chain, especially the ones in the Didcot area as the buildings are divine & spacious. I have worked at various nurseries and preschools through agency work & I really like the atmosphere and approach within Bright horizons. I can see the cohesion among the different locations within this chain, the expectations & toys are the same. At Didcot the rooms are filled with windows into the other classrooms so it feels spacious & United. The food is nutritious. The children are well looked after and stimulated. There’s lots of empathy & kindness & the children seem very happy & well behaved. The ONLY point I think that NEEDS to be addressed is amount of waste & lack of recycling. Of course it’s expected there’ll be some food waste, however there’s no food recycling facilities & this is apparent with all the other materials which are vastly wasted & NOT recycled such as plastics & paper, etc.. If the managers & directors rectified this issue which is a global concern, then I feel it would be even more so competitive.
