Jan 05,2024EDIT 3/25/24: After almost three months, I was contacted by BUDK and offered options to resolve this issue. I chose a refund. Thank you BUDK Customer Service! EDIT: As of 2/14/24, I'm still awaiting word from BUDK Customer Service, although I'm not holding my breath. I purchased a M48 Lightning Strike Automatic knife 10/23/23. Most of the time the knife remained in my truck. The knife was dropped 12/21/23 and rendered completely inoperable. I was unable to contact BUDK until 12/31/23, eight days after the 60-day warranty expired, and was told nothing could be done to rectify the situation. I am now the proud owner of what amounts to a $90 paperweight. Therefore, I rate the experience 0 out of 5. Poor support to go along with a poor product.

Dec 27,2023I am fan of all things Rome so had to add the M48 Gladius to my collection. The weapon is beautiful but it's way too heavy coming in at about 3.4 lbs. Now according to info a weight of 1.6-2.2 lbs is more the norm based on historian's research on the subject. I also possess a Honshu gladius which comes in at a much more realistic 1.7 lbs (beautiful as well but the hilt and scabbard on this weapon could use a little work though). However, I have no complaints with the customer service at Budk...keep up the good work!

Usually "business days" means Monday - Friday. So I was surprised when I received an email saying it had shipped and then was even more surprised when we received it on Monday. Thank you!

Dec 01,2023Received shipment within one week. Everything is quality, but the knife referenced had a hairline crack in the smooth, hardwood handle. Love the Damascus forge! The blade looked a little shorter than expected, yet compared to another that only appears longer, due to style of handle, they were the same length. (The blade is a wee bit shorter than the handle grip.) Unless I find something similar in style and fancier/more ornate, this will remain my favorite knife of several fixed blades! Also got the Devil Dog Machete and Bull Dog Bowie. The knife is large enough to be a shorter sword and the machete is cool, although I'm going to file down the spinal saw teeth for cutting. All sheathes are truly A+ nylon tough quality. We shall see how well they wear. Expandable Baton opened fairly easily the second time. However, the third time I gave it a good sling, it stuck and is still stuck! Will have to use a hammer, if not a sledge hammer to force collapse. ((May order and try SuperZilla)) Also purchased the emergency whistle. The dog-leash style latch makes it fit nicely on my field jacket's lapel loop, but not at all the brassy colored fancy design depicted. Basic black with gold brand name logo. No wider than a lady's thumb width, but LOUD!!! So, two complaints. However, I'm disappointed that an ORDER was REQUIRED to obtain a thin MAGAZINE, after making three online requests, previously. More like a 3.5 star review, factoring in every picky detail.
