She provided me with helpful feedback and critiques, but also positive feedback and emotional support when I had doubts in myself. I learned a lot of really great skills that I can use in my career going forward, and I had the opportunity to create some great pieces for my portfolio. It really felt like CD-ED cared about my learning and my progress from the time I applied to the school, to the end of my program. I can't say enough good things about my experiences!

Jul 29,2023I was frustrated with the amount of time to absorb the material. I needed more than 5 hours a day. There were a few instructors who did not reply to my questions before submission deadline. I was happy with most of the responses I did get but a few times it was obvious they did not understand my question I just moved on because of time management. I received a lot of support from the head instructor, beautiful person. Overall it was a great learning experience, use all resources (google) and you have to push yourself knowing it will be worth it in the end.

I did find some of the courses a little out dated and in need of more current applications but the skills used to complete these classes were still relevant. Overall, I had a great experience and I would highly recommend the program!

Staff are there to support you throughout the program from guiding for financial support to helping for employment. My guide Joanne has been very helpful and supportive throughout this program. I am happy I chose CDED.

Jun 25,2023On January 16, 2023, I graduated from CD-ED's full time Health Information Management (HIM) program, and a month later, I found employment at Mackenzie Health, where I completed my on-site practicum for both years. I passed the April CHIM NCE on my first attempt. CD-ED is an exceptional online school that provides comprehensive preparation for the CHIM NCE exam and equips students with the skills to excel in the health sector. The program strikes a balance between rigor and flexibility, offering a supportive learning environment that enables students to manage their personal and academic responsibilities. The coursework is challenging, but the program’s adaptable structure allows students to tailor their studies to their individual needs. The implementation of an asynchronous structure and a weekly dashboard aids in maintaining student motivation and progress. CD-ED offers a wealth of resources to support students in their studies and beyond. Guest speakers are occasionally hosted and their presentations are archived for future reference. Jun 24,2023The best institute for professional studies. This is really difficult to sum up all the good aspects of this college in a small paragraph. The HIM diploma is so well designed. The head of the HIM program and all other instructors are amazing and very supportive. The administrative staff is so professional at handling the queries. During my study period I had a wonderful experience overall. Thank you Cd-Ed for everything! I highly recommend this college for online programs.

Dec 16,2023The course was great! The payment plan made it possible for me to afford it plus doing it part time allowed me to work full time. I would recommend, that the coding portion be done differently or a different instructor that is willing to go above and beyond and explain better. I think the course should have a few online coding classes to allow students to see how to use the folio. Where I work we do not use folio, we use 3M and employers are having to retrain new hires as they are graduating without great coding skills and knowledge. Coding should almost be a separate course. Not to mention the abstracting portion of coding is a whole different thing!! That should be taught as well, taking into consideration what different hospitals use, most hospitals are not using folio or the abstracting system I was trained on.
