Oct 11,2023Lived with this letting agency for 3 years in a row and everything was perfect. Communication was great for moving in and for repairs. Any problems we had were sorted. The viewing process was easy and we were always shown a lot of properties that all had things that we liked. Stayed in the same house for 2 of the years and we stayed over summer and didn't have to move out at any point which made it so much easier for uni. Then when we did our masters, it was when covid was still a thing and the viewing was so safe and professional

Oct 11,2023Girls in office are really friendly and always greet you with huge smiles. Must be comforting for the students. Always efficient when trades have to collect keys and great to see that tenants are always notified of us having to gain access to complete works instead of us interrupting them or being refused access because they haven’t been told. Really well run agency and can’t fault our experience with them!

They really made us feel like not only did we have someone who could provide us with all the advice we need and some lovely houses but also the support you would want in like a friend! They really do make a difference in your university journey and we couldn’t have imagined living with anyone else these past two years. Thank you so much for not only providing us with a gorgeous home but also for all those times that you provided us with advice and guidance throughout our uni journey. It really was an added touch that even at the freshers fairs and events they held in their office they always recognised us, knew us by our names and greeted us as though we were all just friends! They made the whole experience really comfortable and we would recommend Chester Student Lets in a heartbeat! They are so understanding and genuinely want to help you as a student, and they really do know their stuff, because they’ve gone through it themselves! Thank you so so much for all of your support and helping us have a great time whilst living in Chester!

Feb 28,2022Where to even start. During covid I moved to Chester. Edward Pearson was the Landlord. CSL I wa sin contact with promised there would be a double bed in the room on Leonard street so I said okay I’ll take the small room as long as there is a double bed. Move in day comes, no double bed. I was told to have a double bed in there I would need to remove the desk which I couldn’t as I was working from home. And when I said my girlfriend and I in a single bed is ridiculous I was told by Edward that it’s covid times she should be staying anyways. Fantastic. The room I had at 13 Leonard street cost me £411 a month out of my wages, the other lads had bigger double rooms and they were only about £20 more a month. The internet in my bunker didn’t work, and countless times tried to solve it f all got done. Until Edward told me to fix the WiFi extender my self with tools take it off the wall call the company and find out the user details which only he would know. So no that was that, girlfriend had to work in the front room to take calls in there because there was no signal or WiFi in the little converted box room. Then we come to the end of tenancy. We clean the oven out with an oven cleaning product for him to then try and charge us for a oven clean even though he said we cleaned it really well. Then accused one of the lads for pissing the bed which is just out of order and just summarises the little bell sniff Ed all over. I could keep going but all I will say is that if you have Edward Pearson as your landlord best believe he will try rinse you of your money even though he’s probably a millionaire. Weasel.

Jun 30,2019Great experience with Chester student lets. We were shown a variety of houses and when we finally picked one they made it such an easy process. All queries have been responded to as quick as possible by the team and all issues have been resolved for us to make moving in less stressful! Would definitely recommend to students thinking about looking at houses!

May 31,2019Professional and personal service...I viewed many houses through private and other student let’s but my experience with them was not the same as Chester Student Lets. I had a meeting with a friendly and lovely lady called Miriam, I explained my maximum costs and what exactly I wanted. I viewed two houses with Chester student let’s which were by main campus which was even handier!! I told Miriam I wanted something modern, nice and affordable and it’s exactly what I found. My views and opinions were considered and this made viewings houses during exam season a lot less stressful. I definitely recommend Chester student let’s.

May 31,2019Working with Chester student let’s to find me a home was a very enjoyable process as the team worked for me to ensure we made the best decision and got the home we found most suitable for us. Kat Vicky and Mim all responded to any queries I had straight away and supported me throughout the process, we are renting for our second year at university and we move in soon and I am thankful for chester student let’s. I would recommend using them in the future as I will be. The only reason I’m not 5 star is the minor mix up and delay with contracts however it didn’t effect anything in the long run.

May 07,2019Amazing experience with Chester Student Lets! We left choosing a house quite last minute compared to everyone else but everyone at the office was amazing! We were very picky but this did not bother them and kept showing us a variety! We ran into a few issues with the first house but this was immediately resolved by the team and they did everything they could to help us! Always very responsive and helpful! The variety of houses is great something for everyone!

Mar 24,2019Postgraduate student This is my 1st experiance with Chester Student lets and they have been fantastic in a number of areas. Any maintanence requests have been completed within the allocated time and on several occasions the same day! Both Tracy and Vicky were fantastic too at responding to any queries I had and dealing with issues which arose with the house. They helped me in any way they could which in my veiw was going above and beyond what you would expect from a letting agency. I would highly recommend this company if you are studying at chester.

Mar 09,2019Constant delays in maintenance being addressed with CSL. They only address longstanding issues when (in my experience) you email them repeatedly, which shouldn't be the case. Wouldn't recommend

Although, having never done this, I wasn’t sure about a lot of information and the proceedings and wasn’t told sometimes about certain things, as if I was expected to know... so subsequently had to ask questions all the time. But even then, staff were really helpful and understanding about my situation and the girls that showed us around the houses were very nice and chatty and gave us honest opinions and reviews and tips for housing!

Aug 05,2024Only a 1 star as I can't leave a zero! Customer service and business practices leave an awful lot to be desired. As the parent of a CSL tenant, I have raised a complaint asking for explanations as to their business practices of not giving tenants notice (despite a legal requirement to do so) before tradespersons enter the property for non essential maintenance. Over two weeks has now passed and I've not even received an acknowledgement. This happened on a number of occasions during the education year. In the most recent cases, my daughter was the only student left after year end as she has been working in Chester and came back to the house on a number of occasions to find windows left open, lights on, rubbish left on her desk as well as the house smelling of fresh paint. On the last occasion, her bedroom window was left wide open despite her room having easy access via a flat roof if someone desired to enter the property. Not recommended when there are plenty of other property management companies looking after students in Chester :-(
