Jan 30,2025I ordered 3 knives and Chicago Knife Works has shipped Zero. Ordered beginning of December 2024, got a lot of BS from the owner and NOTHING. Buy beware Chicago Knife Works... This story is repeated all over the internet. No communication from Chicago Knife Works... Havent been nasty yet... But about too.

Jan 16,2025This company is a complete and utter waste of time. I ordered a product from them it took 2 weeks to receive it. The product is defective and now I'm trying to return it. When I put my order number in for RMA return, it states that the return number is not correct. I've called the company several times. No one answers the phone. Do not walk away from this company run as fast as you can!

Jan 09,2025Prices appeared to be the best around so I took the chance. Transaction went smooth, CKW took my money immediately and sent it out after a couple days. Things looked great. The tracking never updated and I stood by patiently. A few weeks went by and no knife showed up. Reached out by phone and sent numerous emails. Weeks went by and still no response and no knife. Their emails mention they will get back to you in one business day. Unfortunately, that is all appearance to make it look like they care.

Dec 14,2024This place is apparently just another drop shipper! Of course on their site, they claim that your order will be processed within 2-3 days before shipping. NEVER disclosing that they don't even have your product in- house! Well, your LABEL will be created within 2-3 days... And then sit in that state as "Pre-shipment. Post office awaiting package" until their distributor in Marion, Virginia decides to ship it out. Which I assume will be whenever they feel like it! Been a full 7 days since they took my money and it hasn't even shipped yet. I will never order anything again from this place! Too many people get caught up in the idea of discounted products. Just know that discount comes with a price. You'll be waiting... and waiting...

Nov 21,2024Stay Away! Ordered 4 perfectly legal knives to Canada. They "mistakenly" added a fifth knife, a butterfly knife, which is illegal in Canada. When i contacted them (which took forever) about it, they said too bad so sad, you should know the laws. I had the invoice and receipts showing what i had ordered which did not include a butterfly knife. They just ignored emails and i had to file a claim. Do NOT do business with these guys.

Jul 31,2024I've placed four orders for 10 knives over a period of two years and each order was smooth. My largest order was five knives, with another order places before the first one shipped. It went perfectly, received all the correct items in great condition. The shipping time was reasonable. They have a great selection and good prices.

Jul 06,2024I've bought several knives from Chicago Knife Works and as a serious collector I shop around very carefully,well this company almost always has the lowest price on knives and for instance I just bought a Cold Steel Natchez Bowie in 4034 stainless steel and I paid about $150 including free shipping and tax,Amazon charges $300 plus for the same exact knife as do other sellers,and Chicago Knife Works stands behind their products,much better than the factory that makes Cold Steel products,5 stars for them and the owner is a very nice man who went out of his way to help me resolve an issue ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

May 05,2024I recently purchased a Buck compadre axe and knife at very competitive prices. Both came with defects (the axe had a very severely bad grinde shape, and the retaining strap on the knife sheath was attached in the wrong position so that it doesn't hold the knife in the sheath). The return policy charges for restocking, so I will keep the blades - I get the sense that their prices are low because they sell defective stuff.

Aug 16,2023So far I have ordered twice with no issues. Everything showed up in good condition and in the timeframe stated. The shipping time is slower than some of the other places I have ordered from, but I will take a few extra days to receive the order to save the extra $$.

Mar 20,2023Customers beware: If you decide to return any item make sure to take a video of the packing and label, I return item and got email with picture of empty box claiming I returned empty package. return policy said item has to be not used, in original box and condition then refund will be issue and yet I send empty package. I explained same thing to there customer service but there answer was person who open my package working there for many years and taking picture of empty box will do the justice?

Nov 06,2022I was hesitant to use CKW due to things I had heard in the past. But they were selling a closeout, semi-custom, out of production knife that many other sites were sold out; and they were about $5 - $25 cheaper than other sites that were still in stock. I went ahead and ordered the knife. Two days after I purchased from them, they cancelled my order because of a pricing error. I went back to their site and they were charging $3 more.... So they cancelled my order over three dollars. If they would have contacted me, I would have paid the whole three dollars.... I hope it was worth it to them.

Sep 10,2020I have made several purchases from Chicago Knife Works. My last purchase went a week without being shipped, website promises 1-2 days. When I emailed them I was told there was an issue with the order, and that I would need to reorder and it would be shipped next day. It took anther 5 days to ship, when I asked what happened I was told they made a mistake on their end. They have great prices, but when it comes to customer service it feels like you are bothering them to do their job.

Feb 26,2025Just like everybody else had the hardest time speaking to someone. Luckily my order didn't go through. I had to respond with my correct billing address with in 24 hours. I did much before that. Never got a reply. My ordered was cancelled. Tried to contact them through email (which they say is the best way to contact them). Called them over 10 times. Left voice mails. From what I found online they do some kind of drop shipping and they also outsource their call center, which makes sense. That is why some time it takes them forever to ship some products. They don't even know if that specific product is in stock.
