I am ANOTHER customer who is still waiting for a refund after purchasing a machine that they did not have in stock (despite the website stating 1 working day delivery). Ollie gave me some story about Brother not taking order until the new tax year … so I will be contacting Brother as well to let them know what their customers are saying about them. Ollie put in writing that he would process the cancellation and refund me ("tomorrow at the latest") … well, it's is a week later and I am still waiting for a refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY … GO ELSEWHERE FOR PEACE OF MIND!
I'm still waiting 4 weeks after ordering 3 zips. The guys are really nice on the phone, but pay you lip service about when you'll receive your order. I've emailed twice and phoned three times. don't bother wasting your money and shop online with someone else, not a reliable online retailer.
Despite good reviews here please be warned! I ordered a £599 sewing table from Discount Sewing on a month lead in period. The month went and when I tried calling them the phone just rang and rang. I emailed their customer services 3 times with no replies. I reported them to PayPal who also tried to contact them. Again no response! In desperation I took out a claim against them in the Small Claims Court. Upon receiving my claim they immediately paid, but I’m still £70 out of pocket for the cost of the court claim. I have emailed them asking to fully reimburse my full costs. Guess what? They claim they had authorised the refund prior to receiving the court notice but their bank was slow sending the money so they do not intend doing anything. My Court Case Continues! Buyer BEWARE before considering buying from this company, or their parent company In Stitches Ltd. They will promise all and deliver nothing but stress and expense.
I bought a Janome AirThread 2000D, and had an excellent price at the time, excellent communication, when I emailed just to check the price was correct, they phoned me straight back to reassure me, and delivery was super fast. I would be very happy to purchase from this company in the future. Thank you for the great service.

I bought Janome 230DC computerised machine for my daughter. I had great help when I phoned to ask questions to see if it would be a suitable machine for her. Delighted that it came the next morning and she is so happy. I am very pleased with the service and the product.
I ordered an overlocker, which they then contacted me to say was not in stock blaming the website (it is not difficult to keep up to date inventory on a website, as long as you upload it correctly in the first instance it automatically updates when orders go through). They said I could either wait, pay more for an alternative or have a refund, i rang back to request the refund but there was no response, i contacted them via their website, no response and I have requested the refund via paypal, again no proactivity from this company therefore it is taking ages to get my refund. Appaling service, wrongfully withholding my money for a product they shouldn't be advertising!

Nov 13,2024I dropped my hand sewing machine in for servicing on 22nd Oct. When I rang 10 days later, it had still not been done and the engineer was about to go on holiday for a week. The person I spoke to was quite rude and unappologetic for the delay. After waiting another week, I rang again to ask when it would be done. I was told by the same rude man that it might be done by Weds. 2 days time. Having voiced my dis-satisfaction I was told there were other cases more important than mine despite them having had my machine for over 3 weeks. I told them that, in that case, I would collect it and get it repaired elsewhere. He replied that I would find that hard as they were the only repairers around! I collected it, took it elsewhere the same day and it was done within 24 hours! They have no idea of customer service and were very rude. Their attitude was that they were doing me a favour. Note also that they operate under several different names. The specialist engineer I subsequently took my machine to, said they have a reputation for being rude to customers and unreliable.
