Jul 18,2021A fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. Second time around and the service and ambience is even better. The food is exceptional and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are courteous and effecient. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Sep 24,2020We stayed at the Dunalastair hotel for 10 days in August and the visit met all of our expectations and more! We were a large party occupying many rooms and the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating and patient with us. I regularly stay at international 5* hotels when travelling and the Dunalastair is up there with the best of them with regards to room size, comfort, hotel facilities and food. Finally, unlike many of the other hotels, the Dunalastair is located in the most beautiful and picturesque setting. We are all very much looking forward to our next trip there!

Feb 15,2022What a horrible experience! My partner and I had a voucher from his grandma, and we decided to go there for lunch. I called the hotel twice, including 2 days before we go, and everything was fine. We drove from Aberdeen (3 hours drive), and when we got there the only option was a soup and a sandwich. We asked the waiter about the menu that it’s on the website, and he said that the we’re doing that because of covid and the people should’ve told us on the phone. We decided to pay with our own money and rebook the voucher for another time. The manager Ravi just asked the waiter to give us a paper with his email (all in front of us without speaking or looking at us). When we were leaving, people behind us were having high tea and all different options of food. We were disappointed with everything and decided to pass our voucher so I email 6 times during the next month (Ravi’s email and booking email), no response. Eventually I could speak to them in the phone (with Richard), and he said that he saw my email (why didn’t reply?), and he would send me a confirmation of the transfer in 30 min. One week later a had to call them again to beg about it. Never heard a sorry, thanks, apologies, nothing, it was almost we were the ones being inconvenient. Horrible customer service for a fancy hotel.
