Energex Mining is a Bitcoin miner sales and hosting provider located in the United States.
As of 3/26/24: Since Jan 1 and a max possible 45 deposits and 90days of up time, my units have had 34 days and counting of down time and 26 deposits. ($1100 lost) They asked me to change my rating and they would put my miners back online, so I bumped it to a 2. They put the miners back online then took them off a few days later. Miner Hosting: We have been using this company for a few years. In those years they have zero communication about miner uptime and downtime. They do not communicate when your specific miner(s) are down or when they are having larger issues at the facility. There service contract states constant communication, but if you are not calling and emailing them you will only hear from them when it's time to pay the bill. They state 95% uptime on monthly basis. This is not true as we have had miners down for nearly half a month with no resolution as to the issues on sight. We know it's not the miners themselves because they would have repaired and sent the bill. Currently we have miners that have been offline for most of March with zero communication. We have to check daily. We recently found out they have an internal issue, but we are still responsible for hosting fees when we aren't currently being hosted due to this failure. They are in breech of their own contract for service and uptime.
Great keep it up
Lost revenue for a month They said the miner is broken, although it’s one year old and they never update me about the status of repair or cost Just lost revenue for month, plus their maintaince is expensive
Long term relationship It's been good, Devin and Michael. Thanks for always working together as a partnership for long term value
Quick to respond, great communication. An all around great team
100% legit hosting service. Uptime is more than 99% or else they will deduct hosting fee by loss time.
Customer Service is pretty good. However miners going down quite a few times in a month is a little disappointing.
The good: 1) EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION about both mining issues (e.g. power went down; power back on) as well as administrative issues (e.g. sending contracts or other DocuSign docs). I have never felt their "higher ups" were unreachable if I had a question. This is likely because energex is still a relatively small company. It'll be interesting to see if they can maintain this excellent communication as they grow larger. 2) GOOD OVERALL UPTIME- my Whatsminer M30 is mining at full terahash (100 TH), probably close to 90% of the time. 3) VERY PROFESSIONAL staff and administrative processes. They have thorough agreements and their staff explained all questions/concerns I had with any clauses in the hosting agreement as well as the purchase contract (I also purchased my Whatsminer M30 through Energex). They also use PandaDoc (like DocuSign), which is very convenient. 4) COST OF EQUIPMENT/MINERS was very competitive. I was very happy with the price I paid for my Whatsminer M30 100 TH unit. The bad (actually the "ok"): 1) HOSTING COST- their hosting cost is on the high end, from what I've compared. However, I've also heard that the quality of communication and reliability of uptime from the "cheaper guys" is abysmal, so keep that in mind. Also, the relatively high hosting cost can be partially offset if you buy your mining unit from them because their mining unit prices are lower than the "other guys".
Devin and the team have always been helpful in creating winning solutions and I appreciate their quick turnaround time in communication.
Last year, I knew I wanted to begin mining Bitcoin but didn’t know where to start. Energex was recommended to me by a family member, so I bought a miner through them and signed up for their hosting program. Since then, I have expanded my Bitcoin miner collection with Energex and have had great success. The Energex team is honest, hardworking, extremely responsive, and offers me great advice tailored to my goals.
