Sep 06,2019Whilst my stay at a local cafe farm slightly outside of Santa Elena I was reliant on transport, to either get to the town or to other place. In that aspect Andres was very helpful, as he not only provided the transport but also organized our tours. Himself and the taxi driver were always very kind and helpful to us. He’s the plug!

Sep 06,2019I stayed at a coffee farm a little bit outside of Santa Elena and needed many taxis. They took care of everything. The process of being able to text or call whenever is amazing. This company made my trip more enjoyable. They were also very helpful giving us information about the area and helping us arrange tours. You should use them for any of your travel needs while here - taxis, tickets, etc!

Aug 31,2019Andres from Faro Travel is fantastic!! He is super knowledgeable about the Monteverde area and gave us many excellent suggestions for excursions, including Extremo ziplines, Selvatura park where we walked through the cloud forest on the hanging bridges and saw the butterfly and hummingbird gardens. Andres is fluent in English and has a great sense of humor. He doesn't put any pressure on you to book with him but you should-- his prices are very fair and he is an honest man. If you plan to come to Monteverde, definitely contact Faro and Andres!

Aside from being a fair and reliable driver, he was able arrange reservations and discounts for local attractions and lead us to nature spots that are not tourist heavy. He speaks perfect English and his friendly demeanor, jokes and mini history lessons along the way make rides witAndres a blast! He is always ready to help answer any questions. Couldn’t have asked for a better one week experience.

Andres provided perfect service every time and he was also able to organise activities for us! He is very knowledgeable about all there is to do here and speaks perfectly English. I would totally recommend using Faro Travel.

Aug 16,2019We spent a week in Monte Verde with my friends and honestly had the best service ever! Andres was always available when we needed to get picked up or referred us to a friend. Additionally, he was able to organise and book all our activities at a cheaper price, therefore not only making organisation easier but also enabling us to spend less money! All the employees at the agency are such nice guys as well it’s always a pleasure working with them. Definitely recommend:))

Aug 16,2019I have no comment about Andres’ help for transportation. In addition of bringing us everywhere and on time, he also advised us on places to go and activities to do! And he even got us good discounts... Andres is very reliable and wants you to enjoy your stay fully without worrying about transportation as public transports aren’t really a thing in Monteverde. One last thing, you’ll never get bored during the ride as he’s always in a good mood and sometimes makes great jokes ;)

Available and ready to answer also by Facebook and WhatsApp. The transport was excellent in all the details, on time and comfortable! Furthermore, Andres and his family are friendly and willing to provide any explanation about Costa Rica! It is a pleasure supporting local entrepreneurs!!

Not only did they provide comfortable transportation, but they also gave great recommendations on what to do in each area we visited!! If I come back, I’ll definitely contact them again!

Aug 02,2019I stayed in Monteverde for a month and while there, I traveled within Monteverde and to many other cities. I used Faro Travel Costa Rica and was very pleased with the services provided as the staff were always professional, punctual, kind, friendly and helpful (especially Andres!). As I solo female traveler they helped me feel safe and also helped me book many activities/travels. I was able able to contact them at any time and would receive a quick reply, even when I would message them last minute about wanting to go somewhere/do something. I would recommend them to anyone visiting Monteverde or for anyone looking for a reliable tour company.

Jul 05,2019Andres and his family run and incredibly friendly and reliable service for visitors! I’m a female solo traveler who had no set plans. I was worried about getting from point A to point B since I didn’t do much research prior to leaving California (this trip was last minute). However, using Faro Travel Costa Rica and Transportes Freylid (both run by the Andres and his family) it’s been a BREEZE. Seriously. I can What’s App him at any given time in the day and he’s very quick to respond. He’ll book my taxis, tours, pickups, drop-offs, and answer any general questions about ANY part of Costa Rica with just a little over 24hr notice sometimes. I’m still on vacation as we speak and I plan to use him for the duration of my trip!!! Seriously if you want someone reliable, affordable, and friendly this is your family. They speak English too! I highly recommend for female solo travelers - I feel so safe!

They are very helpful and had great recommendations for what to do while in Monteverde, helping to coordinate a zip lining tour with another company. It is a Spanish speaking country, so be prepared, but I coordinated with Andrés who speaks English perfectly, was incredibly helpful, and was very prompt to reply. 100% recommend for getting around Costa Rica!!!

Additionally I spent some time researching the prices from other companies but could not find it anywhere cheaper, so if you want to save some money, that would be my choice again. I would totally recommend using their services.

Jun 01,2019My husband and I participated in a local volunteer program in a rural farm outskirt of Santa Elena. Andres provided taxi services daily for us from this farm to downtown. He is so friendly and responsive. He also recommended and arranged the canopy tour for us, which was totally awesome and fun! Glad to have met Andres and his family. We will definitely recommend to our friends and contact them for travel arrangements next time we are back in Costa Rica.
