Well, it seems they have had very few reviews. My experience was just excellent. Could not have been better. After a bit of a bumpy start (my order failed to materialise, but excused due to the Christmas new Year) The service I received was 5 Star Plus. Particular thanks to John & Chris. I was able to phone, and get through to a person, who took me seriously and responded positively and immediately. Finally made extra effort to get the order delivered the next day. Not the slightest quibble. Honestly you won't get better.

Ordered lighting and after about 2 weeks the lighting arrived and one part of the order was wrong and another part was missing. Called and was told that they would send out the missing and replace the wrong object with the correct one and 2 weeks later I’m still waiting. Calls don’t get answered, find another supplier!

Ordered a set of recessed cabinet lights nearly 2 weeks ago, they were dispatched (apparently) the next day by 2nd class mail I’ve called them twice both times said the items are out for delivery, as we live offshore (IOW) it takes longer! It’s part of England! Still no sign, I’ll chargeback after the 15 days is up Awful service better off with EBay ordered other items at the weekend received today

Ordered IR sensor. No order acknowledgement or dispatch information despite stating that orders would be processed within 24 hours. No reply to email. Obtained full refund through PayPal.

Mistake was not reading the previous reviews. Terrible company, despite numerous phone calls and promises that my items would be dispatched they still after nearly three weeks have not arrived. No response to the online contact form, it seems the only option is for me to now go to my bank and ask them to reclaim my payment.

Much like the other reviews. Ordered on 30 Oct not yet despatched and no response to email or telephone calls. I have no idea what is happening. Eventually got through and to be fair they sorted the issue and order received. So all well in the end. Just needed a bit of perseverance.

Well I was a bit worried looking at the reviews. Ordered 4 floating light shelves on 18 Sept and didn't hear anything. Used the contact form and received the day after receiving the despatch note on Saturday 5 October. Well packaged and lights are perfect. A bit slow but good quality lights. Thanks.

Have been waiting for weeks for order. Not arrived. No response from First Lighting by either email or phone. I have contacted bank for a refund. Have also contacted Trading Standards. I wished I had resurched First Lighting (who are diabolical) through Trading Standards. Have just re ordered through a company called Lightsupplyer. Who have despatched my order straight after I made payment.

Our order arrived late, badly packaged and was incorrect. I emailed them and received an immediate reply promising to arrange collection of the incorrect items. Since then, despite additional emails, there has been complete radio silence from them. An appalling way to run a business and I'm kicking myself that I didn't check the reviews on here prior to placing my three figure order. Avoid at all costs.

I had similar bad experience as most people here. Ordered products and got confirmation email of order stating I’d get tracking once dispatched, but on one of those ‘do not reply’ type emails. Nearly 2 weeks later still no email re dispatch. Went on their website and submitted online query about order. Got no response. Few days later found email address on their website so emailed on that (oddly the same email address as used for the do not reply email). Still no response. Few days later (Fri) rang them and eventually someone picked up. Asked about order, said was dispatched 4 days after I placed order. He said he’d email me the tracking number. I received nothing. Phoned again and spoke to someone else who said they’d email me the tracking no. I did get this later in the day but it gave me no tracking info on post office site, just message about can’t provide details, check again tomorrow. I emailed him back and said doesn’t look genuine. He assured me it was and would ring post office straight away. I got no feedback. Still said same message on PO site next day. I emailed again and just said I just do not believe it’s been despatched and asked for a refund. He said no problem and I got an email confirming refund would process in a few days. One week later, surprise surprise still no refund. Reported to PayPal who look like they are sorting it out. Glad I used them!

DO NOT USE! Complete lack of contact re purchase. No answering of phone-calls or e-mail when trying to query lack of delivery, or refund. Have given-up after months of trying to get my item delivered or my money back. Wish I'd read the reviews first - note that on their website, neither of the links to see reviews actually work.

UPDATE: The items finally arrived this evening, 17 days after placing the ‘next day delivery’ order. So it seems like others have said, First Lighting are legitimate, but very slow on sending and poor on communication. Changing from 1 to 2 stars. —- Terrible customer service, poor communication, and just do not do what they say they will. Placed an order on 19th May and paid £10 for next day delivery. Chased them on 24th May and it took them a couple of days to respond. The email contained my order number and another number (that is all!) which I assumed was a Royal Mail Tracking number. Tracking info just says ‘we are waiting for the sender to despatch the order’. Requested a refund for the next day delivery charges which they said they would do, and did not. Requested information as to when my order would be sent and was told ‘ I am going to get this resent express delivery again today as I am not sure what is happening to Royal Mail.’ They did not follow through. They have not sent it. No email. No new tracking info. Nothing 2 days later. They take days to respond and their replies are extremely light on the details. 16 days later and nothing has arrived. I have requested a refund. Will update as to what happens but wanted to let others know how poor this company’s service is.

Wished I looked at reviews of this company, same experience will file a dispute, been given a very tall story this evening, not really worth putting into writing other than to say I find it very difficult to believe anything this man says

Would not give this company even 'one star'. Ordered on 1st March. Was told they used 2nd class Royal Mail. No tracking number provided on their site. On 11th March still had not received the order so phoned; was told the goods are coming but could not give the tracking number. No goods came. Again I phoned on 14th, a person called "John" promised the ordered had been couriered on 14th for next day delivery by D F Solutions. Sunday 17th March still no sign of a courier or the goods. How can this company stay in business? Why lie to customers. Went back to Paypal, told them the story; a full refund has been agreed. Ray - Bristol, Somerset

(Update. Shortly after submitted review 16/3.. Rxed products. So, not scam just really bad customer service) Scam company. Order processed as in stock and next day delivery, money taken (21/02/24). Order has been consecutively reported by 'John', as "in the post (28/2/24)", "returned by delivery company, but resent as 24 hr Post office delivery (11/3/24)", has never arrived (15/3/24). And now not answering phone calls. DO NOT USE...

I wish I'd read the reviews here first. They took my money but did not deliver the goods. They don't pick up the phone and they don't answer emails.
