Named after my children, the new brand captures the ethos and core values of our family business as it celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2022. From our workroom in the heart of rural Kent, our designer chairs and bar stools are hand crafted using sustainably sourced wood, natural upholstery materials and the finest quality designer fabrics to create truly unique items of furniture for your home.

I was impressed with the high end and personal service, right down to the aftercare kit (which came with a chocolate treat!), and I am delighted with the quality and the way my living space looks and feels. The ordering process was flawless, Felicia was absolutely brilliant answering questions and guiding me through all possible options. The outcome is two gorgeous chairs that are comfortable and pleasure to look at. The chairs were delivered in person by Felicia’s lovely daughter along with care instructions, spare parts and paint. We have been renovating our house for over five years now and dealing with Gabriella James Chairmakers was an absolute pleasure. Thank you!

My choice of fabric, trim and even the production of anti-macassar’s were all considered, and an unstinting wealth of advice offered to me, all designed to leave me with the chairs I had hoped for and needed. This is a wonderful family-owned business and the customer service and attention to detail is fantastic - a really personal experience, with beautiful furniture. My barstools are fully customised with my choice of fabric and pain colour. Felicity even hand-delivered the bar stools herself just days before Christmas. Felicity even hand delivered the chair herself – all the way to Sheffield! The chair is beautifully made and upholstered. It’s very comfy and a pleasure to look at, and I’m sure it’ll be in the Simmons-Ellis family forever more. I would highly recommend purchasing from Gabriella James Chairmakers if you want quality and style. Worth every penny.

Felicity was brilliant at answering questions on how they would site the placement of the pattern on the stool and the end result is stunning. We are so delighted with it. Production was very speedy and it was delivered in person by Felicity. Feb 07,2022Following installation of a new kitchen all that was needed were three bar stools for the island. I searched high and low for the perfect product and finally discovered Gabriella James, a bespoke family business. Felicity was able to answer all of my requirements regarding the height, colour and shape of the barstools and the chairs were covered in a beautiful stain proofed fabric of my choice. The stools were delivered just before Christmas in person by Felicity. Spare feet pads and wood stain were supplied and complete care instructions. It was a delight to do business with Felicity - she is full of enthusiasm and nothing is too much trouble.

The product is amazing - height bespoke to fit my high breakfast bar; fabric that perfectly goes with my overall kitchen design and favoured style, wood picked to match our new wooden floor and the oak breakfast bar, sturdy, hard wearing and looking fantastic. Also extremely comfortable with good back support- which was important for me. The service provided by Gabrielle James Chairmakers is also outstanding. Felicity came to the house with samples, promptly send me a quote and then returned with finished products on time six weeks later. I would highly recommend the company for both product and service. All of the family love the stools and use them.
