Dec 18,2021Recently on a short stay holiday in York we visited The Gift Company store in the city. My wife fell in love with baby Gillian and `Dad` Danny - the cuddly giraffe family. We managed to carry Gillian back on the train (she is `only` 2ft tall, and we did get some strange looks on the journey!), but Danny's 5ft height was just too much. As a surprise for my wife, and an early Christmas gift, as soon as we got home I ordered Danny on the Gift Company's website. I was a bit worried in what state he would arrive but, within a very quick couple of days, a well packaged Danny arrived in pristine condition. My wife is over the moon! Danny is not cheap but well made, so well done The Gift Company for a totally unusual present. Well recommended.

Dec 12,2021I ordered 5 flameless candle jars and one electric candle warmer. On emptying the parcel, I reached in for a jar and the glass was all broken around it, in big shards of glass…fortunately I didn’t sustain an injury, purely by luck! Out of the 5 jars, 2 were broken and glass was also in between the wrappings and bottom of the box. The jars had been placed in packing paper, loosely intertwined amongst them, with bubble wrap around the edges of the box, and over the top! Obviously an optimistic packer, who assumed the jars wouldn’t move or clank together during transit! A trained packer would have wrapped each individual jar in bubble wrap, and sellotaped it securely tight, so any broken glass would be contained in the bubble wrap! I am awaiting a response from the company, to the email and photographs I forwarded them.

Dec 08,2021I ordered 4 candles and 4 defusers which smell lovely however when the candle is lit you can not smell anything. The packing for the item is lovely however unfortunately each individual box was a bit battered which is annoying when it is for a gift. Other than that lovely product
