I purchased $25,000 of gold "easily disposed of" coins 24 months ago. My value dropped by $10,000 when gold was zooming up. Even accounting for supply and demand of coins, how can that be? I was unable to get in contact with anyone and when they finally called me they told me that they were out of business and my value was $15,000. Something does not sound right here. They knew this was my retirement and while they explained that coins were easier to dispose of they did not explain that it would track in the opposite direction as the spot price of gold.
My husband, 80 yrs. old, sent 15K worth of gold back to GA in July by Fed-Ex. He did not get a tracking # and has not been able to get hold of anyone since. He's also suffering from long-term Covid that almost ended him in Feb.'24 I'm the wife and was against working with this company to begin with so O left him to work it out. He also worked with Fred Adabi... I can't imagine there is any recourse at this point. 15K out the window-great Golden years...
Please keep me in mind to add for lawsuit. We invested 37K, had the same odd rare coins purchased (for probably too much), went to switch after they closed and have a difference of almost 10K!! His explanation about the amount Equity would have would be different, but it now looks like it was after I lost the money. I tried calling and calling. Got the call, after I figured out they were not in business. I do think we should get a case together. This is wrong.
I did sell back my gold in Sept of 2023 but tried calling them again now, Aug 2024, to see if I still had an active account. I thought I still had silver but not sure. I could never get clear answer from them before.
Hi David and Virgil, Kyle called and sent me an email today informing me that GA closed its doors and is going into final dissolution in several weeks. After researching my Equity Trust account I've come to the same conclusion as both of you regarding the highly suspect difference between what I invested and what's actually in my account. Probably more GA clients are facing this same situation.
Hi David I got the same thing happen to me and im still wonderif they stole my asset...Please let me when when you file a case. i like to join you. I bought mine last year a statement shows a 100k but the next statement shows from equity shows $43k... I called Mr Abandi so many time and he told me that the true value of my equity is not correct. I called Equity and they said to ask the broker to explain why i only have 1/2 of my initial value. I Think somebody steel my asset during the transaction...
I trusted Gold Alliance when I first signed up with them. Then one day I tried to get in contact with them and no one returned my calls for 2 weeks. The sales person I was working with just disappeared. They finally called and said they were going out of business. That’s fine, but I wasn’t upset until I found out the bullion they sold me was not a common denomination and other dealers were puzzled why they sold me 1.25 oz Guineas and .25 oz gold Guineas. I also heard from another dealer the account estimate they sent me was over inflated and they pretty much lied to me. I’m considering legal action.
When I purchased some gold and silver from Gold Alliance, Fred Abadi was very helpful and professional and I enjoyed working with him. But when I needed to sell some of my gold, I was sent to Kyle who told me they had to make a 20% profit when they bought the gold back!! Fortunately, the spot price of gold had risen roughly 20% in the meantime so I was able to at least break even on my sale but I'll never use Gold Alliance again when I need to sell my gold. Buyer (actually, seller) beware!!
Dale and Joni were excellent. They were patient, answered our many questions and were very pleasant. They both spent time to explain everything in great detail that was easy to understand. Customer service was great. They called back in a timely manner and answered all my questions throughly. Setting up payment was easy and product was delivered as scheduled. Everything, but especially the transparency. We are investing our money ( usually savings from our retirement accounts), and we want to make sure that our money is safe and productive.
My experience was great. I would say at least 4.5 stars. I know there is always room for improvement, but Kyle did an excellent job keeping me informed, answering my questions and making sure I could get what I wanted.
