Considering my current situation, I did not have any bandwidth to study and write the PMP exam again, but my job role required this professional certification. After much research, I reached out to the Gururo team, and they helped me successfully reinstate my certification. At first I was apprehensive, but the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. Feb 20,2025I purchased 60 PDUs from gururo in September 2024, attracted by their promise of a streamlined, digital experience and a modern dashboard that made tracking my PDUs seem effortless. Initially, everything appeared to be in order—the PDUs were approved and the online interface was user-friendly, giving me confidence in the process. However, in February 2025, I received an unexpected email from PMI notifying me of an audit on the PDUs I had submitted few months earlier. I was shocked, as I hadn’t anticipated that an audit could occur even after a successful renewal. During the audit, it became clear that the documentation provided by gururo was insufficient. Rather than offering comprehensive records, they supplied only brief page summaries. Additionally, while gururo’s website boasts a cutting-edge, automated system for PDU management, it also contains small print indicating that their process is not yet fully endorsed by PMI—information that was not made prominent at the time of purchase. The lack of detailed, PMI-compliant evidence ultimately led to my failure in the audit, costing me my PMP certification. Although gururo’s innovative platform initially impressed me, their failure to meet PMI’s rigorous documentation standards has left me highly disappointed. I now caution other professionals to verify that any PDU provider meets all necessary PMI requirements before making a commitment.
