Jul 18,2020The coin is absolutely stunning. I got a very good deal. $99 when there is $117 worth of gold at scrap as of today (7/18/20). No, I have no complaints about the coin whatsoever. The service department of the company left a little to be desired, though. It took over a month to arrive. I can't really, in all fairness, blame the company for this. Governments and institutions around the world are using this virus thing as an excuse to slack-off. The postal services of both nations are no exception. That being said, after four weeks and a having friend of mine, who ordered this same coin also at the same time, and he receiving his almost two weeks prior, I began to get a little concerned. So I decided to contact the company using the American number provided on the website's American version. All I got was a recording telling me to call back during business hours, even though it was 11:00 AM CDT on a weekday, and to key in my phone number, which I did. After having made several attempts with this same process in as many days, as well as several email attempts, and receiving no response, I naturally became quite frustrated and alarmed. At length, I got an email response from the British version's email assuring me that all was well. Finally, like a week later, it arrived. It was worth the wait, but I don't like those kinds of rides.

Jul 08,2020So Hattons of London has me hooked on the 1/4 sovereign coins. British coins aren't really my area of numismatic interest but these little coins are beautifully made and cost effective to collect for me. I check back once a week to see if anything new gets added. I'm eagerly awaiting my Dunkirk and NZ 1/4 sovereigns. Mail has been slow in the US and I'm always worried my coins will get lost in the shuffle. The staff at Hattons is always patient with me when I ask about my orders, so thank you. What surprised me was the other day I got a large envelope from Hattons of London in the mail. I was a bit baffled. It wasn't a coin and I hadn't ordered anything else from them. Inside I found a copy of the book "The Twelve Greatest Sovereigns." It is a small hardback picture book with a mix of historical sovereigns and modern sovereigns that Hattons of London sells/sold featured inside. It has great photos and a nice bit of history on each of the various coins presented. It was very unexpected and a very nice little gift. Thank you!
