Mar 04,2024I am a little disappointed. My preference of footwear is Santoni. Your shoes looked attractive and thought to give them a try. One of the pairs you sent me were very short for a size 44. The other ones were quite narrow and tight.

Jan 30,2024I have a pair of Atlas Lows that are overall a good buy and very unique. The leather is good quality and they know shoes - full leather midsole, sidewall stitched, quality upper, etc. They're also pretty good value when discounted. That said, there are some things I would change. - The regular insoles have a sharp edge where the parts are stitched together. This dug into the lining leather and caused it to tear on both shoes. I anticipate that cleaning up the edge of the insole and hiding the stitch will increase longevity. - As the lining is torn, I can look between the layers and see that the counter is a blue synthetic material. It has held up but upgrading it to leather would be preferable. - Some stitching between panels on the upper has broken. This is difficult to fix as I can't access the other side through the lining. Also, all seams are covered with some sort of tape that I assume exists for waterproofing at the cost of repairability. - The white coating on the leather does chip easily. You will see this is pictures from many reviewers on their site. It does clean up nicely, however, and retains a nice shine over time. - Not a downside per say, but know that the Lactae Hevea soles aren't the magical soft-but-durable material I wanted them to be. Physics still apply, so as a buyer, treat them as a softer rubber that will wear out faster by virtue of them being soft. I've worn completely through my left shoe in the 2 years of regular wear. There is a hole in the market that companies like Goral and Crown Northampton are capitalizing on - repairable sneakers. These shoes have almost everything they need to last. As long as these issues are fixed and the company puts effort into making the shoes easy to repair, I think they will have a great future.

Jan 30,2024I purchased my first pair from JAK in Lisbon back when they didn't have their own stores. Since then, I've bought several pairs, and even after a few years, they still look brand new. A Portuguese brand that truly stands out! Congratulations!

Jan 22,2024I am pretty disappointed that i have to write this review but i completely agree with what others have written here about how long your shoes will last with moderate use. When the shoes first turned up i really liked them. They seemed to be a quality product and were very comfortable. After 2.5 months the sole has worn away so much that cracks and holes are beginning to appear. I contacted the customer help email and they did reply explaining that their soles are made with the highest grade material and that it could be down to what i am using them for. Erm, walking? Not bike riding or any other sport. JAK came back to me again and suggested i send the shoes back for review, where they would replace the soles after inspection. I would then have to pay a cobbler to replace the soles in the UK. Whilst the communication has been polite and prompt there has been no suggestion of any compensation for a product that is not fit for purpose at £165.00. I have had £60.00 shoes last longer. Sadly i doubt the shoes will last longer than 4/5 months and the options put before me by JAK are not worth the hassle for shoes this expensive.

Jan 11,2024The good - the shoes look gorgeous, cool and elegant. There's a real premium feel to them with soft leather and fun colour pops. The extra set of laces and soles are a nice touch too. The bad - they will fall apart in a matter of months. My soles started degrading after about 6 months and I had to chuck them in the bin less than a year after purchasing - not what I expected from such pricy shoes. To add insult to injury the upper also ripped as I was putting my shoes on! I've never had this happen even with cheapy primark shoes. The ugly - the customer service is like speaking to a brick wall. The quality of shoes is clearly a problem as per other reviews. I was also fobbed off with similar arguments about 'intensive use'.. erm it's a shoe...! It's not as if I've put an elephant it them. The shifting of blame to me and flat refusal to acknowledge that it was a design flaw left a really bad taste in my mouth - it's a shame as if the quality was better they'd be great shoes. (I'd recommend looking at the material AllBirds uses for their soles as it's totally indestructible.
