They don’t vet their pros, so someone can say they’re qualified but have no training. Beyond that, the reviews on the app are questionable. I hired a 5 star contractor with 15 reviews and he didn’t know how to do the basics of the job I hired him for. When you run into trouble, support gives you the runaround for a few weeks and tells you that you didn’t hire a “verified pro” (their app doesn’t even show if someone is verified so only jiffy employees know). They ultimate did fix the job but it took months for a basic flooring job that should’ve taken 2 days. I would never use this app again and encourage you not to!

Do not use them. I ordered something a coupes ago. they took my money and haven't heard from them since. I tried following up several times and all I got is an automated response that they were looking at my request.

I was a long time user of Jiffy on demand but recent encounter with representative name Anujah Thankarajah was the worst customer service experience I have ever had to deal with. We inquired about jiffy credit as it was magically disappearing and random amounts too. She kept saying that we cancelled jobs but when we replied we had not cancelled job on our end, she got mad and deducted further $15 from our account out of spite. This is what happens when you hire incompetent customer service rep who is taking out on their client instead resolving issues for the company. I cancelled my jiffy membership and won't be reinstating until jiffy rectify this issue. I shared advertisement and they can't just issue credit then take it away when the pro hasn't even submitted his quotation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP. I find HomeStar provides more reliable services in general.
Be very careful re pricing for a service. I was charged $180 for a job which took just over 30 minutes. Their website is not clear that you will be charged a certain amount regardless of the time it takes. I was definitely way overcharged and will be extremely careful in the future. I would like to recommend this service to family and friends but after this experience I cannot. It has completely soured me with respect to this company and in fact I would caution anyone considering this service to ask a lot of questions prior to retaining them for any type of service.

A pro damaged my floors and installed a toilet that has lose parts. His name is Joshua Morison. He also asked me to get a faucet over the phone. The faucet ended up not being compatible. When I spoke with Rosita in customer service via text because that is the only method they use she was rude and not helpful. I have been a customer and had great experiences with Jiffy so I was very dissatisfied in how I was treated. Rosita and Lindsay in customer service lack empathy and customer service. Not impressed. They advertise a 10 minute response time to book your service. I have been waiting 20 hours and no booking yet. They keep saying "Hope to have a pro confirmed for you shortly!" but nothing happens. I've given them 3 possible days for a dishwasher fix and they haven't got back to me. It seems they don't even know their people's schedule to be able to book someone.
The driver refused to hand over my order. Even after the delivery address was updated and given to him over the phone. Appalling!!! I wouldn't bother! Not unless you like threatening behavior.
Wellison accepted my lawn mowing contract in January 2021. First scheduled date for mowing was May 1st. I requested a week-day visit and he said "No problem." He was a no-show and my grass continued to grow longer. He then said he would come the second weekend in May. No-show again. Grass grew even longer. Third week of May. He changed appt. again to Saturday May 15, 7-8AM. No-show once again. I called Wellison and asked him where he was? He either pretended not to hear me or doesn't know English. I then reported this problem to Jiffy customer service. instead of working to locate a reputable and reliable replacement, they canceled the whole contract. 😒 Told me I was basically on my own to find someone else. The lawn is now seriously overgrown and I have nobody to mow it. If this contractor accepts your job, RUN! He is unreliable and has no business being on this app. Shame on Jiffy for not properly vetting this contractor before allowing them to accept jobs they have no intention of performing. An absolute customer experience disaster.

So I hired Jiffy on Demand to tile a 4’ x 6’ bathroom. There were no fixtures in the bathroom the plumbers had been in and had replumbed the whole area, and put in a small shower stall. So pitcher a concrete floor with nothing in it. The result?? Not a single tile is spaced evenly or level.There is not a single tile where the pattern matches. I did complain to the manager of the young man who installed the tile, because remember you were not getting professionals. You are getting people who are good at talking, to convince you to buy a service and then you end up with some poor lad who doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. The JIffy Pro stops in every once in a while to make sure that this person is doing a good job. It took this guy five days to tile the bathroom and do a small bit of drywall. Neither was done to my satisfaction. There are gaps in the drywall and it is what a professional would call a level two job. When the guy leave the tiles I marked all the deficiencies before he put the grout it because it was obvious they were not lining up and I was told it’s too late. And that’s too bad. I was out of the house when the jiffy pro got my daughter (who is 29) to approve the final work. And then he invoiced me telling me that my daughter had approved it. My fault was that I didn’t look. Now it’s like anything you don’t see anything right away you notice a day after day though. And after the expiration of the warranty when I complained bitterly to Jiffy they sent me a Jiffy Pro who evaluated the work and said yes indeed it was very shoddy. So the new pro wants to demolish the bathroom tile and charge me $1000 for that part as well as an additional $2000 in materials and labour to level the floor and put all new tiles in. Jiffy gracefully try to make it sound like they were doing me a favour by applying the $1500 that I’ve already paid for the first, bad job against the three grand. And then I pay another 1300 and they pay 300. So the other alternative they offered me, since we are past the warranty was to give me back 50% of my money. Which is the option I’m going with. Because what if he is doing is charging me to demolish the bathroom that they messed up as well as plumbing where when their original pro came in to install things they had a room completely clear to work and so do I have to pay for them to To demo their first pros bad work? Sounds like it anyway I said no go and I am so mad at myself for not checking trust pilot first because I always do and there’s not a single good review here for Jiffy on Demand.
05-07-2020 Jiffy on Demand are not transparent with their charges. Your credit card will be overcharged. Their tradesmen are very poor quality, not as advertised and far from professionals. I Athena and my Sister Lisa had 2 security lights out at our place and spent close to $300 had to fight then over charging me. The electrician knew something was wrong as the light kept flickering. Rather than checking further told me the light was faulty. He installed the new one same thing! Jiffy stays arms length with the issue. I still have no light! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! To summarize, she was only charged the minimum after-hours fee (booked in the evenings). We can confirm there was an issue with the fixture she purchased. Normally we suggest having the Pro purchase this in case the part is faulty. In this case, the original Pro went back to review and fix the issue. As it did happen again, we offered to get another Pro to look at this - they confirm the way Lisa requested the fixture on a dimmer system is causing this issue. The 2nd Pro purchased a new fixture and resolved the issue - there was no extra cost for this. We apologize for this experience and hope this doesn't stop you from using us in the future. The pro put in the fixture without checking the light switch. The switch was a dimmer Switch and the pro should have known you can connect a security light to a dimmer switch, He never checked the switch. if jiffy is going to hire professionals they need to be the gate keeper by ensuring their pros act appropriately, when I contacted jiffy they instructed me to deal with the pro myself. That is not right if they want to protect their brand they need to take complaints seriously.
Quality, Value? NOT HERE!!!! There is Nothing Professional at Jiffy on Demand as the middle man will give you alot less value for your $ buck! Count on it!$! To many complaints LOOK FOR & SEE The BBB Reviews and be the judge! For e.g 1) Plumbing Problem? You would call Brothers Plumbing 2) For Heating AC or HVAC issues dealing with gas lines? You would call Laird and Son. Let's not get to comfortable with just a touch of a button. You will regret it. They could not provide me with a exact quote, and that is NOT worth the convenience of being overcharged from a Company that does not honor their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Sorry,but I seen the BBB Reviews and now here, I would say the five star reviews are very questionable if they are indeed authentic. Do your homework, and avoid the headaches. Ask a friend? I Called a local place that deals with Appliance Sales & Service I found on HomeStars, great! The man came out the next day and in 20 min he found the issue. The relay and capacitor tbat drives the compressor (as he said) were replaced. Two parts at $80 plus $120 for his time and service call all for a Total Cost of $200 Crash! My refrigerator works beautifully and has for six month now. Just wanted to waited to see before posting this review. I'm angry and very disappointed at Jiffy Services, that I could have thrown out my refrigerator that required two minor parts. This is very disturbing that this can happen to anyone out there. Sep 11,2023I hired someone who was suppose to be a pro he did a terrible job on putting in cupboard doors, don't even line up then you close the cupboard door. The shelves don't align with the wall. When I complained they said they would give me a small discount then charge me even more than I originally paid to fix it. Will never use them again.
