Service is pretty simple. Haven't had no issues that need addressing.
I have been very pleased with mjy experience with Kroger Wireless so far. The reception is better than with my previous wireless companyand just as fast or faster.
I purchased a phone through their website and I received a defective phone that won't read the Sim card and has obvious manufacturer damage, hence is completely unusable. The company has absolutely no way to contact anybody that can exchange or refund my purchase or do ANYTHING other than run me through the same basic troubleshooting over and over again from an out of country call center. They give me the same unmanned phone number over and over and the same website url that doesn't work and I don't think they have any mechanism to help me whatsoever. I'm preparing to file a fraudulent charge and report the company to BBB for selling me a defective phone and not allowing me to get a refund. Please save yourself the headache and don't buy anything through them. Even on the responses on this thread they just give out the same automated telephone line with the same call center drones that hang up on you and keep leading you on without actually doing anything.
Kroger Wireless may be an okay service plan if it wasn't for their unprofessional representatives!! Little to no help. I was trying to help someone with their service and I had a representative to hang up on me before 10 because he didn't want to answer my questions. After that I called back and what did I get? I got their pre-recorded automated system. Will never deal with this service plan again.
I am supposed to have a 13 digit code to activate my account but I have never received it from Kroger Wireless. So I can't even get a phone number. I am so angry right now. I called the new customer number and they said they can't proceed without that number from Kroger wireless for the rate plan. Their suggestion was to "buy more minutes at the store". Since I spent all my money on this phone and 3 months of service, I can't do that. If I had any money, I sure wouldn't be getting service from this company! This is the most screwed up customer service I've ever experienced, and I was a custom service manager for over 20 years.
I lost my phone. Try not to do that. :P Two stars because the cell service (owned by Kroger?) does work, as long as the stars don't misalign. No more than 2 stars because krogerwireless is janky af. 1. My local Fred Meyer (also owned by Kroger), according to the electronics mgr, has not had their simcards in stock for at least 2 years. 2. The website is not intuitive - you're okay if you want to sign up for service or buy a phone, but if you already have a phone and a plan and you only need a sim card, you'll have a bad day. 3. After all that effort, the website tells me to call and talk to an agent to buy a sim card. 4. Customer service tells me to order the sim on the website. 5. Not krogerwireless.com... no, you order from accesswireless.com. 6. The accesswireless website is no better than krogerwireless, and actually worse in one way. 7. The order form page constantly reloads (or something) and if you make any errors you won't be able to scroll down the page to fix that error. 8. Reloading the order form page reloads the error, which leaves you stuck again. 9. Kroger has more money than God, so there's no justification for crappy product or customer service - I'm counting the website as customer service. They could do better in every way, and they choose not to. It's a carnivorous corp and deserves your dollars even less than other corps. 10. I almost forgot: their responses to negative reviews are just copy/pasted, and that sums up how they feel about customer service. Update! It's been a week and the sim card has arrived. It cost more than 5 cards for new accounts but I appreciate it. I also appreciate your clear and professional response to my rant. I'll stick by Kroger being evil but I thank you and I wish you the best.
Terrible. Customer service is pretty bad. I’ve had to call multiple times for one issue and after staying on hold for over 40 minutes they disconnect the call. They do this repeatedly - almost as if they have some sort of internal timeliness standard and once it passes a certain point they’d rather drop the call than answer. Very frustrating. The website is also pretty sub par. There are lots of other cheap wireless services that are much better. Verizon price matches. Do your research and save yourself the headache of dealing with a 3rd party cell provider that hides behind the Kroger name.
Awful !!! Don't use this service. The website sucks, & the customer service isn't open 24hrs. They want ALL your info, verified. IF you can get them on the phone, it takes forever to do ANYTHING. Trust me, the worst service for a burner phone ever. CANT even reload time with #611 quickly. PAIN in the ass service provider. Very invasive!!!
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! If I could give negative stars I would. Customer service is of no help. If you bring your own phone they will blame in on your device. The mobile hotspot never worked and they will not refund your money. Worst service ever!!!

May 01,2025Since switching to Kroger Wireless I can no longer use my phone to provide music in my car without dropping service. During my local trips in the car, service will drop 2 to 4 times. It's frustrating to be listening to a good song and then having it stop, only to eventually move on to another song.
