I placed an order with Coastal Moving Services to move from NY to FL. After my belongings were picked up, I came to learn that they had brokered my stuff out to another moving company, Lojik Van Lines. This move cost me over $16,000. When my furniture finally arrived, I was crushed to see my several pieces of antique furniture broken to bits. Legs were torn off a library desk table. An antique endtable was broken into pieces. A bookcase was completely taken apart, down to a bunch of boards, and you could see the way nails were bent that the piece had taken a good hit to it. Three feet out of 4 were broken off of a cedar chest. I had carefully packed all my possessions, placing the heaviest pieces on the bottom of the box. When the stuff was delivered, I saw that they had turned the boxes upside down--obviously from the transfer from one mover to the other. I am so hot to take them to Small Claims Court, but you need the name of the owner. I see that Coastal Moving is owned by Robert Castro, but I'm not sure about Lojik. I see the name Beirne Daniel. If anyone could help me find who owns Lojik, I'd be most appreciative. Thank you.
Complete scammers - Coastal Moving Services brokers out your deal to Lojik Van Lines and then takes no responsibility when Lojik brokers your stuff to go onto a different Van Lines truck. Once that company arrives your stuff is missing or destroyed. No one answers the phone at Lojik Van Lines. They tell you they are using a 45 ft truck, and it ends up being 65 foot and cannot access your condominium building. You tell them not to arrive on a weekend and they arrive on a weekend anyway. I had to hire a local mover to hold my stuff until Monday. Coastal Moving Services cost me an additional $3800 as a result of using them. Call Modern Movers instead - 239-939-7983 == there is no Broker involved and they are the most professional.
I strongly advise against using this company. Careless with property. Lost some items, completely destroyed others. Zero communication throughout the move. They're misleading in the paperwork and explaining contract terms. They strong arm you on pricing once they show up and you basically have no choice but to move forward. It would've cost me less time, money, and stress to just sell/donate all of my stuff and start over after moving. Now I'm in the claims process to try and recoup anything I can, which I doubt is much. Go another route.
Lojik van out of New Jersey is very unprofessional not only that I just finished up unpacking my boxes and I just realized my extra large box of hair extensions for my business is missing… I call and file a report
Lojik Van Lines out of New York should have 0 stars. They picked up my stuff and gave me a price. I gave them $378. Then they came back to look at my stuff again and said they needed more money (another $475). Then when they picked up my stuff they said they needed more money ($855). It was my last day in my apartment, so I didn't have another option so I paid them. Then when they finally delivered my stuff (over a month later), they said they needed another $600 because they couldn't get the truck close to my apartment and had to truck everything in. Don't use these guys! They are scammers! I'm surprised I ever got my stuff.
I recently moved from New Jerseys to Florida and during the the booking process I read many bad experiences on line with many companies which made me very hesitant to use a moving company.. Then I spoke to Lojik Van Lines and they put me at ease .They exceeded the expectations I had set on them. They were courteous, they handled my belongings with care , delivered on time. Lojik Van Lines made a extremely stressful time in my life absolutely stress free. I will be recommending Lojik Van Lines to all my friends and family.
The move was awesome few hiccups. I increased in price as I did load more things. Wasnt happy about that! However, the crew did a really great job of wrapping my items. They took proper care with how they loaded my furniture. Overall, my things went out the door in the same condition they were inside my house.
By far the worst experience of my life. They lied about everything, I was missing items from my move and everything arrived 2 weeks after I got to my destination. I also got charged double what my quote was even though we tallied up each item in my home for the quote. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
Complete liars. Lied about everything on my contract. They will habe you waive protection coverage and wrote down you packed items (that they actually packed). Please read your contract, because when he "read" it to me aloud, he lied on what was on there. Completely my ignorance for not reading. Careless. So many boxes were destroyed, glass items broken, TV broken. Jr was my mover. phone number 914-424-9439 hesa a friendly liar
If I could give negative 10 stars I would. Dishonest, rude, careless …
A lot of my items ended up damaged. The boxes were completely ruined so I knew they would be. They seemed to be very careless with everything, including the TV which was packaged as directed, looks like they put stuff too heavy on top of it because the screen concave and it’s cracked. Tried to call like I was told to to report damaged items and I was told I’d get a call back, but throughout the whole move they were very unresponsive.

Sep 25,2024If there were no Stars that would be my selection. Moved NY to FL. I had no idea I was talking to a broker NOT the moving company. he PROMISED delivery of everything within a 5 days. Turned out to be 15 (Business days). You can't speak to anyone as calls go to a service so you never get satisfaction. The moved everything off a truck to a storage area for 10 days then reloaded with other deliveries. They finally came on a Saturday at 7:00PM. Many items broken, some missing and when I reported the claim they responded with $85.00! Which I'm still waiting for. There's more to this story but wanted to summarize.....STAY AWAY
