Sep 03,2022We stayed in lost in africa lodge and everything was perfect. Rooms were very clean and the bed was very confortable. Meals were excellent thanks to pauline. They recommend us a lot of good places in arusha to have lunch, visit, buy souvenirs and even have party! We booked our 4 day safari with them and it was amazing. We ned some changes in our safari, due to a flight and they planned changes perfectly. We just relaxed and enjoyed the safari. Thanks to the guide Patrick, who discovered us the 3 national parks in the best way. He gave us a lor of interesting information answered all questions. Summarizing, lost in africa is the best place to discover tanzania, they will welcome you as part of their small family. Asante sana!!!!

Jul 23,2022Amazing!!! Hans and the team at Lost in Africa are superb. All enquiries and our final booking was made via WhatsApp which was a delight (we live in Oman and this is the norm there). We did a 4 day Safari which was so well priced compared to other places. From start to finish we were so well looked after and everything was as it said in the itinerary. I know it all sounds too easy and too good to be true but Lost in Africa really are incredible. Our guide, Patrick, is like a super human. His back ground in animal research and extensive work with African tribes makes him the perfect Safari guide. As animal lovers, Patrickâs attentive attitude towards the parks, rangers and animals was wonderful to see. We saw and experienced so much and for that, we are eternally grateful to Lost in Africa. We hope to return someday to climb Kilimanjaro (rather than drink it đș) and see more of what Lost in Africa have to offer. Itâs good to note, Hans will offer bespoke packages so if you donât see something you want, just ask, there is nothing this man canât do! Jul 07,2022Guys, you have to book your Safari with these amazing people of Lost in Africa!!! We took the 3 days Safari with Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park, but next time we will go for Serengeti for sure, too. Our guide was Patrick, awesome person, so friendly and nice, excellent driver and always with a smile on his face. You will learn a lot by him about Tanzania, its people, landscapes and all the animals you will see while your trip. There is also Hans, doing all the bookings and communication for you. Same attitude as Patrick. You just have to love these guys đ€đ»â€ïž Hope to see you soon again! PS: It was our first Safari and we got to see all of the Big Five, so nothing more to say đđ»

Jul 02,2022Mi hermano y yo hemos pasado unas vacaciones increĂbles este junio y en gran parte se debe a "Lost in Ăfrica". Nos alojamos en su hotel en Arusha, que estĂĄ en una zona tranquila y muy recomendable. Nos hemos sentido como en casa ya que el lugar es agradable pero sobre todo debido a su personal... đ Hans, Zyanya y Clara te ayudan en lo que necesites y el personal de servicio es muy atento tambiĂ©n. DespuĂ©s, contratamos el safari con ellos y la verdad que estuvo genial. Tuvimos muchĂsima suerte y vimos muchĂsimos animales de muy cerca. Tenemos que recalcar que todo estuvo muy claro desde el principio (precios, itinerario...) y tanto el guĂa como los sitios donde nos hemos alojado nos han gustado muchĂsimo, hemos estado muy agusto. ÂĄÂĄÂĄSin duda repetirĂamos!!!!

Jul 02,2022Wir hatten die 6-Tage Safaritour bei Lost in Africa gebucht und sind wirklich begeistert gewesen. Die Organisation war perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt, es wurde sich um alles gekĂŒmmert und unser Guide Francis war immer zuverlĂ€ssig und pĂŒnktlich. Am ersten Morgen hat sich auch Hans (GrĂŒnder von Lost in Africa) persönlich bei uns vorgestellt, was wir als sehr positiv empfanden. Unsere UnterkĂŒnfte (mittlere Kategorie) waren ehrlich gesagt mehr Luxus als Mittelklasse, hier bekommt man tatsĂ€chlich mehr fĂŒr sein Geld als man erwartet. Auch die Verpflegung war immer reichlich und lecker. Bei den tĂ€glichen Game-Drives hatten wir mit Francis einen sehr erfahrenen Safari-Experten an unserer Seite, der immer genug Zeit fĂŒr Fotos gelassen hat und auch auf unsere individuellen WĂŒnsche (wir wollten unbedingt einen Geparden sehen) eingegangen ist und versucht hat diese zu erfĂŒllen. Alles in allem sind wir total ĂŒberzeugt von Lost in Africa und wĂŒrden jederzeit wieder buchen.

Jun 20,2022My partner and I had a magical time in Tanzania thanks to Lost in Africa. We booked our Kilimanjaro trek and safari a bit last minute (about 6 weeks ahead of departure) and Hans helped us plan an amazing trip. He sent quite quickly an individualized plan based on our request with additional options. We loved the initial plans but had some updates/requests which he quickly got back to us on. Being able to use whatsapp for quick questions also made the planning process super easy. During our trip, everything was amazing. The transport/hotels/guides were so well organized that we were able to fully enjoy our vacation without worrying about next steps. All of the hotels we stayed at were lovely and clean with amazing food (which I miss so much now that I'm back home). For me, the highlight was the safari. Our guide, Patrick, was fantastic and just made our experience even better. He is super knowledgeable and knows exactly which routes to take to see the best animals. He is so easy-going and it was lovely getting to know him. I cannot recommend Lost in Africa enough! When I make it back to Tanzania, I will certainly use them again.

May 02,2022Everything on our trip was really perfect thanks to Hans, Patrick, Ismail, the rest of the guides and staff, and of course thanks to Tanzania having so many beautiful places :) We stayed at the Lost in Africa hotel, did the 3 day Mount Meru hike, and the 4 day safari in Tarangire, Ngorogoro, Serengeti. We would definitely recommend booking with Lost in Africa. We really had the best experience ever. We didnât have any personal recommendations to go off of but Hans was so friendly and helpful when we contacted him that we felt like we definitely wanted to book with Lost in Africa. We went for it and we were more than happy with our decision. The Lost in Africa hotel itself is a really cool place to stay and we enjoyed our nights there. The staff there and Hans are all really nice and went above and beyond. The food was also delicious. For the hike, our guides Ismail and Patrick and the rest of the team really made it a great experience for us and it exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time and would love to do Kilimanjaro in the future with them. The safari was truly amazing. Patrick is a great safari guide and we enjoyed exploring for four days with him. Heâs very knowledgeable and seemed to know the parks like the back of his hand, and heâs also very professional, and funny. We managed to see all of the big five very quickly and saw so many animals the whole time. He adjusted our plans a little along the way to make sure we would have the best experience and everything worked really well. If we get the chance to go back we will definitely book again with Lost in Africa and highly recommend it! Thanks so much!

Three days of safari that we will remember forever, with Patrick and Tadei, really nice staff and they taught us the love and respect to the animals, the environment⊠Patrick knows all the roads of Serengueti and NgoroNgoro so he took different roads than the others and it seemed like we were almost alone with all the animals! And the food that Tadei cook to us was delicious, best meals over safariâs day. I recommend it 100%!!!!

Feb 26,2021It was a great tour. The guide and the organizer was so kind and they did everything to make us comfortable. Accomadation was perfect. The place we stayed was so cosy and comfortable. Food was great. We managed to see every animals. If i go again i would choose the same tour.

Feb 24,2021That was an amazing trip from beginning to end. We were able to arrange the itinary in a very short time thanks to Hans. We stayed 2 different places and each were great. The place, people, service, meals, all of them. We were able to see many animals. Thanks to our guide Emmanuel we also saw lions at the very end of of our tour. I would recommend here for anyone Who is interested in safari. Besides from safari we also loved the places we stayed and the people there. The whole experience was five star. Ä°n the future I want to go Serengeti too, Lost in Africa is definetly the one I will choose.

Jan 21,2021we had a wonderful time in various national parks in northern tanzania. Despite the very short-term booking due to covid-19, hans advised us in an incredibly friendly, patient and competent manner from the first second and put together an individual offer for us. everything was totally uncomplicated! with immanuel we had the best guide you can imagine, he gave everything for 7 days to make us happy and he definitely did it. we have learned so much about the animals and the nature of tanzania and we can hardly wait to come back some day. absolute highest rating for lost-in-africa, it really couldn't have been better or more trustworthy. hopefully see you soon and hakuna matata đ

Jan 07,2021I wish to start this review by telling a bit of information about me. I'm not a type of person that does extreme sports or nothing crazy for that matter. I'm the type of person who enjoys other people's company and I like to talk with people around a beer in general. The experience of climbing Kilimandjaro is one of the deepest connection you can do to your soul. It will change your life. Now if you're reading this and thinking which tour operator to use, based on costs and reviews, then you should take this into consideration. You will probably do this only once in your life. So it is an important decision for you. I have to say that throughout my climb, I met a few other people like me, but they were part of other tour operators. Surprisingly, many of them were complaining about their crew and the quality. It seemed that they just wanted to have it over with and not enjoying the experience. Lost in Africa was not like this, at all. To start with the basics, the care, the attention and the quality were always their priority. Which makes it ultra important if you want to enjoy your experience to the fullest. However, for me, the most important aspect was the human connection I made with my team. Writing this review actually brings tears to my eyes, because I already miss my team so much. The relationship created throughout the climb of the highest point in Africa was the part that makes it just more unforgettable. They were all so caring and went above and beyond expectations. This is why, I can only recommend Lost in Africa. You will cherish these memories all your life, and not just because of the mountain, but mostly because of the human connection with the team. Thank you so much to Hans, for organizing. And infinite thanks to Ismail, Patric, David, Fundi, Hamisi, Baraka, Preego, Eli, Ibrahim.

Jun 18,2020We went on a 4- day safari followed by 5 days in Zanzibar with Lost in Africa. Our trip was so well organized from beginning to end and overall it was an incredible experience beyond our expectations. Our safari took us to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, all rich with wildlife and scenery and we got to see the Big Five. Our guide/driver Emanuel made sure we felt safe throughout the trip. After the safari we spent two nights in Arusha before flying off to Zanzibar. Lost in Africa had organized everything from pick-up /drop-off to the flights to and from Zanzibar. The staff was so friendly and serviceminded and made sure we had a great time. We highly recommend booking your safari in Tanzania with Lost in Africa and it will not be the last time we visit Tanzania.
