Jun 28,2024Dan Mason & his group made this first time buyer transaction as painless as possible and we were able to close in a month and a half. Had some last minute hurdles including a jump in down payment but we were warned about that possibility. They provided a great check list that made it easy to get the information.

May 08,2024My recent experience with Dan Mason @ Magnolia Bank was high pressured, and intense. I presented paperwork that would comply with his request and then he would tell me all good and the next day he was increasing my payment. When my purpose to refi was to eliminate automated withdrawal of my Escrow with present Mortgage Company also to refi he created a significant increase in my mortgage payment and caused my Homeowners Insurance to lapse while calling them and transferring my Insurance to Magnolia Bank before I had agreed to the refi, in that process my Insurance lapsed . Mr. Mason didn't bother to notify my Homeowner's that Magnolia Bank wasn't going to refi my home. I was not notified he had done this. He was loud, rude and unprofessional on many occasions . It was the worst experience I have ever had with a Financial Institution.

Magnolia Bank has that reputation so I reached out. Dan Mason contacted me and explained the process, worked hard to get me a great rate and maximized my cash out per my request. The process was easy and he kept me informed through every stage. In under two weeks we were done. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a fair deal and professional bank to take care of their financial needs.

Mar 08,2024May clients went to this bank to pull money out of their house to pay off loans. This was THE WORST experience with a team and underwriting process. I know this as I was on all the emails. They do acquisitions of houses , flips and I can tell you the underwriting process was horrible. They would constantly not open all the attachments requesting them again, cause over 14 business days of delays in closing the loan. This is a small loan 230k against value of home of 900+K and fico over 750. Ridiculous, the broker kept making excuses and pointing figures at the time it takes to upload the documents and then have underwriting review them stating "your not the only loan they are working on". The underwriter would come back with nit picky requests like I have NEVER SEEN. HORRIBLE horrible and will never use them again. At the last min they stuck my client with points because the broker screwed up and was not able to keep the loan as a no prepay penalty. So they had to pay for points to pay off this loan which they clearly stated at the beginning of the process was a kill item for them. DO NOT USE this company. And their rates are not competitive. They were so in and up against a lending deadline they had we just could not move the loan so we had to finish with this horrible bank lenders.

I bothered them alot with questions, but they didn't seem to mind at all and they were always helpful. I state this because Dan and Greg were very hands on during the entire process, always communicated with me in a timely manner - walked me through the required document process/requirements - all electronically. Even though we never met, I felt that we were sitting across from each other as the process proceeded to a favorable conclusion in securing the loan. Dan, Greg, and their supporting “team” are the best bank loan officers that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. In today’s difficult loan market it is nice to know there does exist a bank - Mongolia Bank - and their staff - that will work with customers to secure the best loan possible that meets the customer’s financial needs. I would highly recommend that those persons looking to secure a loan - whether a home mortgage or a refinance to seriously consider Magnolia Bank for your online mortgage banking needs. Jul 19,2023Magnolia Bank saved the day. With the current economy I felt like all hope had been lost. I attempted the mortgage process with an online company (Loan Depot) who left me completely in the dark & felt like I had been taken advantage of. Even more frustrating - I had done so much research and legwork on various banks thinking I was on the right path with them. Then comes Magnolia Bank being the breath of fresh air I needed. I specifically remember saying to Dan & Greg "Do customers normally cry tears of joy when working with you?". I had all my questions answered, calls/texts returned and information disclosed They worked with me every step of the way and I highly recommend them to everyone. I didn't feel stuck, forced, rushed or confused at all. And - of course, less than 30 days later I am no longer drowning in debt or interest rates because of a reputable bank understanding my needs and putting customers first. I would consider them a partner during, what can be, a very stressful time. Buying a house is not an easy process. Jul 03,2024My wife and I had purchased a few houses so this was not our first go around. However, there were aspects we did not expect. Dan and Gregg helped us out every step of the way. The process was smooth. Both Dan and Gregg took the time to educate us on the fine details of a VA loan. More importantly they maintained seem less communication with us. This was the second time I chose Magnolia Bank and again I did not regret it. We will be using them again on our next property purchase.
