Hiba and Zainab were both very engaging and taught us with a lot of enthusiasm, which really made me motivated to learn, as well as interested. They answered all of our questions with a lot of insightful details. They also explained everything in depth and made sure we were following everything and that they weren’t going too fast. They were also both extremely kind and were very helpful towards everyone. Syed was a great teacher and was very engaging. It was very helpful that he kept asking questions to make sure we were actively recalling the information we had been given. His teaching was very convincing and interesting, which has now convinced me to consider perhaps specialising in radiology or become a GP later on because they both seem very interesting. It was really fun learning from him and I learned a lot.
The mentors helped a lot in how to approach patients and gave really good advice. The actors also helped in experiencing real-life situations in how you would approach patients in real life.
I enjoyed ms Hiba and ms Zainab’s teaching and introduction to medical school. They did a very good job in making sure everyone was involved. They weren’t boring and I learned so much. I enjoyed the quiz. I thought it was a great team activity. I enjoyed mr sayed’s teaching and I learnt so much about radiology. I learnt many different scans and he taught very well. There was never a dull moment with him.
Doctors Hiba and Zainab were very kind and supportive even when we made mistakes. Overall, I was able to learn lots about patience care and the medical community.
I liked how interactive the session was and how it was a group discussion and very informative. The real life situations were very interesting and also helped with problem solving. The radiology session with Dr Syed was very eye opening, the practical session was a good way to look at the day to day life of a radiologist and how they can write up their reports.
I loved the explicit details and explanations and the constant praise everytime we said something right, further giving us motivation and kept us engaged. However since we were a lot of people it was hard to get everyone engaged but they did a good job at trying to include everyone. I had a lot of fun with Dr. Syed, Dr. Hiba, and Dr. Zeynep, their teaching was great and I enjoyed listening to them!
hiba had very supportive teaching, allowing everyone to speak up, informative. syed lots of energy and perfect level of teaching.
The instructors were really engaging and informative, providing lots of interesting facts. They took time to explain everything clearly and face time for questions to be asked.
I attended the UCAT Masterclass with Kam and Anna and both tutors were incredibly helpful. I got a really good overview of the question types and feel this session has been a solid start to my exam prep. I felt both of the tutors were more than competent in the sections they were teaching, and I felt comfortable to ask questions at any time. Breaks were well scheduled so the sessions didn't feel overwhelming, even though we received so much useful information. I recommend taking this class in the same summer as the UCAT cycle you're sitting, so your knowledge is fresh. I feel motivated to get stuck in with my revision now, thank you Kam and Anna!
Top tutors; went above and beyond to explain UCAT strategies and questions in detail.
I had many months of tutoring with Sukruth, who was an excellent tutor from day one. He is friendly, personable and approachable, and very knowledgable in interview skills and Chemistry, but he also made time to send me material and answer questions for my other subjects in his own time to help me when I was struggling with biology. He gave me lots of support with interviews, and grew my confidence massively, which resulted in me getting an offer for medical school! For interview prep, he made a useful plan of action from the beginning of our sessions, with ideas that I could use to practice between sessions. He worked on all aspects of interviews, including nerves and voice. He used a very positive tone and attitude in all aspects, even with mistakes and frustrations. For chemistry, he explains things in a very simple, easy to follow way, as he is very clever, and he supported me when I was anxious about exams and stressed with revision, and kept a very calm demeanour. When I started with Sukruth, I was repeatedly getting Ds and Es in my mocks, but then with his help I began to get Bs and even As and an A*, which was a huge improvement. His lessons were well structured, thought out and planned in advance, tailored by what I was weaker on, but he also focussed on reminding me of my strengths, again building confidence. He was very organised, and flexible which was great as year 13 progressed and I got much busier, but also as I got more stressed and asked for extra sessions. He would increase engagement by relating chemistry to the real world, making a boring subject much more interesting. He noticed early on that I was a visual learner, and suggested helpful revision strategies which I used lots leading up to exams. He was very patient and seemed to genuinely care about how I did, asking me how my exams and interview went, and reassuring me afterwards. Overall I think Sukruth is an amazing tutor, and I especially liked how he went above and beyond by using his own time to respond to questions and planning sessions. I would have really struggled in year 13 and medical school interview without his support and knowledge.
Sukruth and Patrycja were great tutors who gave very helpful advice and went into depth, explaining each of the 5 UCAT sections. It was very interactive overall and in a group of 9, each of us got lots of practice and I found it very helpful to see the others' approaches to certain questions, with our tutors giving explanations afterwards. As this will be my second time sitting the UCAT, I found this course very useful as both a recap and an opportunity to get more tips and tricks to increase my score this time around. Thank you very much to both Sukruth and Patrycja, I definitely recommend this course to anyone who is unsure where to start with UCAT revision, or those trying to improve past scores.
The personal statement masterclass was a really useful experience and there were loads of helpful tips. I especially loved that you were given opportunities throughout the class to draft paragraphs of your personal statement and then send them in for feedback. The feedback itself was quite useful and detailed. It was mostly quite interactive too.
Very concise and to the point with enough good examples to practice concepts with
Medichut have been so helpful with my whole application, as my school didn’t give much support, so having their help has made it all so much clearer and easier! I came across the company when on a Premed course and we spent two days doing work experience - including A and E rotations and radiology. Since then, i have been on their weekend interview course, had a mock interview and used their UCAT prep course (and now have two pink stethoscopes!) I have now got an offer for medicine at kings and can’t thank them enough! A really amazing company.
I loved how informative the UCAT masterclass was and I was appreciative of the UCAT practice questions that were embedded throughout the session. My tutors Amber and Patrycja were very kind and eager to explain anything we didn't understand. Also both made sure the session was as interactive as much as possible which was what made me enjoy the session. I definitely feel way more confident starting UCAT practice with the plenty of strategies that they taught me :)
My tutors Amber and Patrycja explained each section of the UCAT clearly and were very friendly and helpful when answering each of my questions. I would definitely recommend them!
The two days were filled with so much useful information. I feel like I now have a great insight into strategies of how to answer all the questions in the UCAT. Both Amanda and Patrycja were amazing and they were so helpful. It was also great to go through lots of questions with them. It was also so useful that MedicHut offer bursaries so I was able to access this masterclass which I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Overall, a very beneficial experience, Thank you!
Amber ran the UCAT masterclass sessions in the morning from 9am-12pm. She was very good at explaining how to approach the questions and the different strategies involved by going through the example questions. I also liked how she was quite strict with her timings when giving us practice questions; she would give us around 30-45 seconds per question which was really useful in getting used to the challenging time pressures in the UCAT exams. However, sometimes she would go through the slides too quickly and not explain the tips on how to be successful properly and she rushed the slides overall.
