Nov 07,2021It helps to channel the steam to the bent when cooking but the only thing is that it can get in the way when cooking so you may need to remove it from time to time. It does easily slide out.

Nov 02,2021Great product. Does exactly what it was designed for. I wish my microwave fans had a little higher CFM because they tend to get overwhelmed still but it keeps it off the cabinets at least, that's not a problem of this product though. My only critique would be to add some stiffener supports on the mounting bracket instead of leaving it as an "open mouth" design. It's very good as it is, but if I was to improve one thing, that would be it because it would provide a bit more of a stiff and well-built feeling.

Nov 02,2021So far we really like it although we still set off the fire alarm. I think we are now looking at our hoods exhaust fan. This is very high quality, better than I expected, and was supper easy to install. Took all of about 5 minutes.

Nov 01,2021We have exhaust fan through in cabin microwave and it is not powerful enough to remove all the vapors from cooking. This spreads smell across the house or deposits oil droplet marks on the upper cabinets. I have been searching internet for a good solution and stumbled upon MicroVisor extension. We were skeptical as this product is not sold on Amazon. However MicroVisor delivered this product within a week as advertised. It is a simple and elegant idea, easy to install, right away we can see the effectiveness. We really like the product. A few things to improve: 1) MicroVisor edges are little sharp and smoothening them will make better user experience while installing. 2) Center lock screw doesn’t come off easily. Looking forward for motorized MicroVisor extension. Great product and good service.

Nov 01,2021Product is good quality and works fine. It might be nice if more shapes and sizes were available. I would recomnend it for people who are tired of steam and odors getting all over their kitchens.

Oct 26,2021Relatively easy to install, and works surprisingly well while running two gas burners on the stovetop. Tested it while cooking meat, and it worked well. Prior to the hood, I had to open the windows and start a fan to prevent the smoke alarm from activating. So far with the hood, I haven’t had to open a window. Worth the investment if a full range hood is not technically nor financially feasible for your particular situation. One thing I would change in the product, and this is directed toward the manufacturer, would be to provide magnetic screws instead of non-magnetic. It can be difficult to position the screws through the slots and into the microwave frame, and if the screws were magnetic then I could have used a magnetic screwdriver to ease the job. Nonetheless it’s a good investment.

Oct 21,2021This is a great addition to increase the effectiveness of the fan a lot. It does obscure the vision of the rear burners if you are tall. The single screw holding the shield in the bracket does not keep enough tension on the shield to keep or from moving, although that is not a major concern. The part is well made and finished. I’m very happy with this product!

Nov 23,2021Everything was great from the delivery of the order to installation which was very simple and took about 5 min. Does a good job of deflecting smoke back to microwave and looks good as well. Use to have problems when cooking something, that it would set off smoke alarm. The visor has fixed that.
