My subsequent contact with Matthew Knight has been faultless, giving me measured and clear advice about investment and portfolio. His approach also offers confidence and trust to me as a client, and his knowledge about various aspects of the wine market and his ability to present that knowledge, is impressive. I should also mention the professionalism of Sophie Rundle when dealing with investment transactions. I highly recommend Moncharm's service and products.

He and the other staff are very knowledgeable about the wines and they are realistic about the returns that can be made. Saying that though, in just over 2 years Nathan sold one of my wines for me and made me a profit of 30%. So far I am a very happy customer.

Nov 11,2022My main contact at Moncharm has a great depth of knowledge of the fine wine market and has become an excellent advisor. My first sale of my wine portfolio generated >50% growth over 2.5 years - quite phenomenal in the current economic climate. I receive courtesy calls every 3-4 months which are informative and not at all pushy. For anyone with an interest in wine and has a spare £5- £10k to invest they really should talk to Moncharm.

Nathan always keeps a close eye on my portfolio and makes suggestions as to what could boost the value of my holdings. As someone who didn't know much about fine wine, Nathan has guided me through the intricacies of the industry - everything from trends to weather and soil. I'm confident my wines will give me a good return when it comes to selling them.

Apr 29,2022When I took early retirement 5 years ago, I needed to make my hard-won savings work harder for me. I had never considered fine wines as an investment (believing them to be the province of people an awful lot richer than me!) and knew very little about them. I started small and with some scepticism if I'm honest, but over time Matthew Knight, my dedicated advisor has guided me brilliantly, to develop a portfolio to be proud of. I now know far more about the wines I own and about the market, and look forward to my regular conversations with Matthew. Over the years I have grown to trust him completely. He is incredibly knowledgeable and professional but also very down to earth and friendly. I decided to take Moncharm's advice and have kept my wines for the 3 to 5 years they suggest. I have sold two holdings to date and I am pleased to say that both have given returns that exceeded my expectations. The administrative and compliance aspect of the company is also excellent, supporting the professional and ethical approach of the company as a whole. I have no regrets in my decision to invest with Moncharm and cannot recommend them more highly.

After speaking to Matthew I decided to try a investment in wine and that this might give me a better return than investing in an ISA. So investing in wine from many regions and countries, some might give me a good return mitigating any losses incurred. MY dealings with Matthew have always been professional but always friendly.

Feb 23,2022The key feature of Moncharm's approach is to link a customer with the same adviser, (in my case, Nathan,) for every transaction. That enables trust to be developed - in both directions. Some of Nathan's recommendations have done well; a few have floundered, but at least some of these could well recover in time. With the exception of wine storage, Moncharm's own costs are built into their buying and selling offers: this is a welcome and clear approach. Nathan provides a sound basis for his recommendations, and responds well to questions. As with all investment, however, the risk ultimately lies with the investor.
