Mountaineerin is a growing outdoor company focusing on walking and trekking events in the UK and abroad.
Simon and Pam helped me achieve my life goal of climbing Kilimanjaro! There is absolutely no way i would've summitted with any of other company or anyone else, they made sure all 5 trekking members summitted and made the trip of a lifetime! From start to finish the trip was organised and executed perfectly. Firstly, the communication prior to the trip was exemplary meaning all trekkers were completely prepared leading up to the trip, we knew exactly the plan, what was happening and what we needed to do. During the trip is where Simon and Pam come into their own, their mental, physical and professional support tailored to each individual client was unbelievable and I believe is the only reason everybody summitted. Their constant monitoring, early intervention and decision making in relation to mindset, physical conditions and in emergency situations was perfect. I will always recommend Mountaineerin Ltd having booked and completed 3 trips with them, i wouldn't book with anyone else, if you want to achieve your mountain goals these are the only guys you need!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mountaineerin. I’ve just returned from a bespoke trip to the Lakes where they arranged accommodation, guides, routes, transport and everything was perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them and I’m currently considering which trip to book next.
Awesome experience with Mountaineerin Ltd on the National 3 peaks over 3 days trek... Our mountain leader was Simon, who is a wonderful person. His friendly banter and high energy are contagious. Simon shares interesting facts about the mountains, the route and some history, takes responsibility of the group members seriously and makes sure everyone is safe, is very watchful and looks out for every single group member. Steven, who drove us was very cheerful, keeping our spirits high and was very helpful. Couldn't have done this challenge without them... Strongly recommend Mountaineerin Ltd for the three peaks challenge and am myself looking forward (and training!) to do more such treks with them.
Completed the 3 peaks last weekend, had a brilliant weekend! Was well informed in the lead up to the event, our driver Steve was great at getting us to the hotel and in between mountains and our leader, Dan was great at setting the pace to ensure it was achievable in under 24 hours. Dan worked really hard to support us and provide encouragement and we had a fantastic experience. Thank you!
I had an amazing experience with Mountaineerin the weekend of 30.8.24! We completed the NP3 within 24 hours! The event was exceptionally well-organized. The group was great, and the overall experience was fantastic. The mountains were breathtaking, and our mountain leader, Dan, provided excellent encouragement throughout the weekend. The pace on the mountain was just right, making it enjoyable for everyone. I would definitely recommend Mountaineerin to anyone looking for a top-notch adventure!
It was a great weekend. Well organised and efficient. Really recommend completely the 24 hour Three Peak Challenge with this company
Fabulous challenge, fabulous guide and drivers. Prepare for the fast pace up and down the mountains, ideally try to stay as close to the guide as possible so you’re not left behind. Give it your all and you will have an amazing experience. Prepare for the weather in Scotland, the climb up Ben Nevis was very wet and very cold, I didn’t dress accordingly and was freezing. The guide will do everything to make sure you make the time, and shout out to the drivers for getting you between mountains in time to complete the challenge. Engage with your team and work together to achieve something truly amazing 🤩 Shout out our guide Dan for getting us motivated and up and down those mountains in record time!
We had a great trip doing the 3 peaks in 3 days. Very well organised with Derek our guide making sure we got safely to the summit of each mountain. Darren the driver doing a brilliant job in getting us from mountain to mountain. The others on the trip were good company as well. Memories that will last a life time. Would recommend using Mountaineerin if you are thinking of taking on this challenge.
I have been left with an overwhelming sense of sadness. In the briefing we were told there would be cut offs due to driver’s hours but the guide’s hope was that we would get all 3 peaks done and if we went slightly over the 24 hours then that was ok. There were 2 groups with the same start time. We were about half hour over on the Ben Nevis time but both groups were at the end together. Their driver got them to Scafell 40 minutes before us so our guide was very clear that we were now in danger of the cut off. He said we would know within 25 minutes if we could do it in time and then a decision would have to be made. The pace he set was so fast and the back of the pack were way behind within a minute. At the crossing he said we could do it if we maintained that pace but we couldn’t and felt we had no choice but to let the leaders reach the summit. When they then returned, having completed it in just 3 hours, I felt completely robbed of that opportunity. A slightly more reasonable pace and we could all have possibly got round in the 4 hours it should have taken. Our driver, who we then find out is on his first shift for the company, then starts heading back towards Scotland instead of Wales so we lost another hour and a half and missed the sun rise on Snowdon. The guide’s focus was then on getting the few that did Scafell completing all 3 peaks in a total ‘mountain time’ of 13 hours. The rest of us were insignificant. The guide was a nice chap, the photos he took for us were stunning, the communication with the company leading up to the event was great, the hotel was ok, minibuses are never particularly comfy so can’t complain there, we raised a decent amount for charity so I should feel very happy and proud but I am gutted. We should have been able to complete the challenge we set out to do.
Amazing experience from start to finish. Excellent communication from Simon in the lead up to the event was first class. Our Guide (Ian) and Driver (Darren) were superb from when they picked us up through to the completion of the challenge. Probably encountered the worst weather that the month of June could throw at us on the challenge, snow, hail, rain and strong winds but Ian kept us moving and motivated throughout the challenge to result in a highly memorable experience for us all. If you’re considering doing the 3 Peaks, I can highly recommend Mountaineerin, you won’t regret it and will have an absolutely awesome time!
A fantastic transport company with positive attitude and always welcoming. Very smooth to book and even when we had to change our return date during our trip at last minute Simon was very helpful and sorted it all out without any issues. I am so thankful! The drivers Darren and Keith were great. Thank you to Simon and team. Definitely recommend this company 👌 Maryam x
It was a great experience! Rob our guide was an amazing guide, everything was very well planned and he prepared us accordingly. He helped us complete the challenge on time and overcome our limits. I would definitely hike again with Mountaineerin and Rob as our guide, and would highly recommend completing 3 peaks challenge with them.
Excellent organisation for the whole trip and our guide Rob made the experience first class. He’s a top bloke and made sure we all got through it safely but on target
To start with the hotel was a bit tired but clean and acceptable and had a lovely view. The coach collecting people arrived late and the schedule briefing did not take place, everyone on the coach got the briefing. We were expecting it to take place later that evening but the guide (Mountain Leader), did not appear. We ended up with a bit of a rushed briefing during breakfast the following morning. The ML was tall, had a long stride and it was therefore quite difficult to keep up with him. I don't recall being advised about the expected summit time only an overall number of hours to complete each peak. Which isn't particularly helpful if you don't know where you are or how much futher you have to go. I got left behind on Ben Nevis and had no idea whether I was going to be able to summit before they turned around, fortunately I did make it. On Scafell Pike the weather was horrendous, monsoon and hoolie, we all had to stick together. The ML marched off several times leaving us. He pointed in the direction of the summit and left us to go alone. On the decent he turned right instead of left and lost us about 30 minutes going the wrong way and we had to climb back up to go down again, we were all drenched to the skin and knackered. He continued to march off without us several times. On Snowdon, I got behind to stay with a friend and he constantly went at the fastest pace (super fit guy in the group), they occassionally waited for us to catch up and before we reached them he would march off again so we didn't get a rest at all. After the event an ML friend advised me that the max for an ML to lead is 8 (we started with 9) and in bad weather conditions 4, also it is against recommendations to allow us to summit on our own. So I have concerns about the safety aspects of the event but also there was no discussion or briefing about "in the event of....." someone gets injured/lost for example etc. The briefing before Snowdon on the coach as everyone is waking up and in a rush to get ready, (FYI due to space it isn't possible for everyone to get their boots on and tied before getting off the coach), the briefing was inadequate and I couldn't hear what he was saying. He was a lovely guy and took some amazing photos on BN but maybe additional training might help him.
Great orgainsation, great guide, a really difficult challenge made so much easier by Mountaineerin!!
We work closely with Moutaineerin for private hire bookings and i can not speak highly enough of them, from the vehicles to the staff and drivers everything and everyone is exceptional at what they. they are a true credit to the industry and we look forward continuing working with them, and thank you for your continued excellence.
One amazing trip September 2023, the team were amazing and well organised. Leaders kept you imformed throughout every step of the way. They looked after your well being and made sure everyone was ok. I would recommend Mountaineerin, such a friendly and helpful tour group for a great adventure.
As some one relatively inexperienced to mountain climbing, Mountaineerin made the whole experience less daunting and more importantly, enjoyable. The communication ahead of the trip was clear, the transportation and accommodation comfortable with the help and guidance while climbing, invaluable. An amazing time, great memories, all made possible by Simon. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will be a repeat customer in the near future!
I am 66 I thought I would challenge myself one more time. I found the 3 peaks really tough possibly the hardest physical test I've completed, maybe due to age. The guide Rob was excellent, very professional, making sure we finished each peak on time and a smashing fellow. The drivers were Steve and ? [sorry mate I have forgotten your name] who completed the arduous drive as smoothly as possible. Thanks also to Simon for the professional operation from pick up to drop off. Overall an experience never to be forgotten.

Feb 10,2025Fantastic Company. Just completed Everest Base Camp and Kilimanjaro expeditions with Mountaineerin Ltd. in quick succession. Enjoyed both very much. They were well planned and executed. The Directors, Simon and Pam are both exceptional. They keep you fully informed with all you need leading up to the departure. They look after you tremendously well during the trip. I would whole heartedly recommend Mountaineerin to anybody thinking about taking on such a challenge. You will not find a better or more caring provider. Thank you both for making my dreams come true.
