My 6 year old went to the camp in Leys School Cambridge. There was a swimming and my daughter got to swim every day she went to the camp. Staff are friendly.

Complete waste of time, don't waste your money I took my 5-year-old boy to the summer camp in Summer Fields. Paid for 4 weeks in advance. On the second day, I found out that he can not play football, can't swim or play tennis because all of the activities have age restrictions which I was not informed about before I purchased. All they do is take the children to the playground and spend the whole day there. My son did not want to go after the first 3 days. I asked for a refund but no one even responded my request.

The staff are so professional and the ethos is very much on play and fun. They really care about your kids and what they enjoy and take time to get to know them. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

My son attended Beechwood Park camp, and we couldn't be happier. Although he is only 8 years old, we believe he had a great experience. We are thankful to them.

I believe it has been a very good experience for my son. He gained about 10 days of camping experience. I am happy for him. What he told us when he came back from the camp is a sign that he liked it too.

I am absolutely thrilled to give Chloe and Amelia a glowing 5-star testimonial for their exceptional support during the summer activity camp at Holme Grange School. Their patience and understanding when I was running late to collect my son due to train strike delays truly amazed me. Not only did they assure me over the phone that everything was alright, but they also went above and beyond to make me feel at ease about the situation on both days I was running late. Their professionalism, empathy, and dedication are noteworthy. I am highly impressed and grateful for their exceptional actions. Thank you both. And lucky for Oxford Active/Active Camps that you have such amazing staff.

Despite taking our money and confirming our booking, they told us with 2 weeks' notice (during the summer holidays!) that they couldn't actually accommodate us at our chosen school, which is near our home. Then also told us one of our days was cancelled, with no alternatives available. No compensation offered except to 'refund' the day they cancelled and place our kids at a school 20-30 mins away by car - great for working parents, right? It's easy to make alternative summer childcare plans at short notice, after all! Utterly disgraceful behaviour from a company that, based on the organisational sloppiness we experienced, shows no respect for their customers or their needs. Avoid at all costs (especially at their price points!) Reflects poorly on the schools that allow them to use their premises.

After reading some really mixed reviews about Oxford Active, I felt compelled to write my own. I have an 8 year old son who's recently (summer 23) attended the Activity camp at Summerfields. First off, I think it's important to say he comes home happy, tired and full of enthusiasm to go back. WIN!! Secondly, I'd like to write a bit about the young people who work at the camps. Their good spirits never seen to tire. They greet me and my son every morning with smiles and have time for me if I need to explain something regarding my son's needs that day. (He's a bit fussy with food) They've used their initiative during the day to overcome certain food related issues my son has. Yes, they are young adults. But their enthusiasm and initiative speaks volumes. I never worry leaving my son in their care. I can go to work and focus on that without worrying about his care niggling away. The only reason I've not given 5 starts are certain parts need to be thought out. For example my son came home telling me he felt embarrassed getting changed in front of other kids. I don't know if there's individual changing rooms available or not but when children are taking their underwear off to change into their swimmers, I think it's a very appropriate need for kids to have privacy. Apart from that two very enthusiastic thumbs up from me. Thank you to all the staff who's made my little boys summer so much fun. And thank you for wearing him out for me 😀

The booking system was a bit clunky but we overcame that. It was all worth it though, my child had a great time and loved meeting new friends. We had some go karts on camp during his week, that my little one wouldn't stop telling us all about. If you overcome the booking system it's worth it.

Haveing had a few bad experiences I decided not to send my child there this year and am so glad I did. The camp lost a 5yr old child today! Fortunately the child was found by the parents after walking home which required crossing main roads and walking a significant distance unsupervised. The camp location in question has been reported to Ofsted however the management and training of the company in general is very poor so just a matter of time before something like this happens at one of their other locations. Don't trust the safeguarding of your children to this group !!!!

A nightmare trying to book with them if you use childcare vouchers. And the admin were very unhelpful and even gave me the wrong company to send my vouchers to, so I had to spend a lot of time getting my vouchers back. My children did attend the camp for a couple of days and it was pretty mediocre. There was meant to be swimming, but Oxford Active hadn't sorted out their ratios so they couldn't use the pool. The staff seemed a pretty inexperienced.

Literally just a bunch of 18-19 year olds who could not be bothered and just wanted some money. when my daughter asked for water they told her to swallow her spit, and the activities were neither fun nor entertaining as my daughter told me. DO NOT book this i promise you there are better options, like PGL my daughter really enjoyed that

Expensive items of clothing has disappeared several times (three times in three weeks), with minimal effort made by staff to return it. None of the items were returned in the end and staff simply blamed me as a parent for sending my kid to camp with items such as a jacket. So a warning - my child who never loses things, ‘lose’ only expensive branded clothes such as jackets and sweaters at this camp, and they are not returned.

Excellent camp. My son enjoyed everyday at Easter and in the summer. The staff are friendly and approachable so that the children feel welcome. My son’s confidence greatly increased after a summer with oxford active

Our son has now had two experiences with Oxford Active, the first being Easter and the second this summer. He has thoroughly enjoyed himself and has felt welcomed by all the staff. Activities are well organised and a good range is available every day for the children to get involved. I was particularly pleased with how well they coped during the very hot weather!

Excellent holiday camp! We started sending our daughter to Active Camp over 2 years ago when she was just aged 4.5yrs old and she regularly goes in the school holidays since then - She loves it and jumps out of the car every morning! The organisation of the camp is excellent, with lots of staff (who are all very friendly and helpful! ), communication is spot on and the kids really enjoy it! No complaints here!

Exceptional holiday camp led by caring and fun people. My child was nervous before attending for the first time, and looked forward to all the rest. The young people that ran the days she was there were truly amazing, responsible and accountable.

My 6yo son had a blast this summer. I was impressed how well organised the camp was and how diverse the activities were on a daily basis. I flagged up that my son felt bullied on one occasion and they dealt with it instantly. No further issues after that. We will 100% book again and we recommend the camp to anyone needing childcare during the school holidays. We booked 2 weeks during the summer holidays and we would have booked for longer, but the camp started early and my son's school finished late, so the max we could book was 10 days (2 weeks). They offer a weekly discount and we could also pay via the tax free childcare account, saving an extra 20%.
