Jul 17,2024We had a party at home and it was a smooth experience thanks to Liz being super friendly, helpful and responsive and to the box of costumes, props, decorations. She arranged a home delivery for us and it couldn't be simpler. We had all we needed within the box, it's literally just add children and party food. Our children had lots of fun, they laughed a lot and loved the games. They liked being sorted into houses, earning stars, learning skills and working in a team. They enjoyed the sweet shop very much, as well as the seeking games, the Monster book of monsters (aka pass the parcel) and Dobbie's sock game. Grown-ups loved dressing up and it was easy to run a smooth party thanks to the party plan, story telling. Great addition to the pack was the deluxe add-on for party bags (sustainable too). Great find.

Jul 17,2024We hired the Harry Potter box for our son's birthday. 10 lively 8 year olds made for an extremely energetic party, but we had everything we needed, the games were engaging and everyone had a great time. It's a brilliant concept and everything was straightforward to arrange, Liz was very responsive and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!

Jul 12,2024Such a good idea! We had everything we needed - had the ninjago pack and the decorations / costumes were fab. I loved the sustainability aspect, much better than buying and we had way more and better quality than if we had spent the same amount buying things. The pack had great ideas for games. Highly recommend adding the sweet shop - the kids loved it!

Jul 01,2024Pirate Party for 5yo Seamless delivery and the contents far exceeded expectations. We didn't need anything additional at all and our house and garden were completely transformed into a pirate haven! The dressing up costumes are great quality and there's loads of choice - the children loved them. The games are incredibly comprehensive, easy to follow and completely engaging for the children. We would never have thought of such fun activities or had the props to do it. I would very highly recommend.

Jun 28,2024The LEGO hiring pack was very complete and the instructions were clear, very detailed and precise. Lots of items, more than expected! I am impressed on how well organised the whole thing was. I recommend this company and I will use it again.

Jun 12,2024Pack away parties was great for my child’s Harry Potter themed party! The box was full of props, decorations, costumes and instruction/ideas booklet for the party. The booklet was clear & came with certificates, stickers & games & timings. The box included adult costumes too, which the kids loved! There were a few branded items such as Dobby & The Sorting Hat which made it more authentic. I would definitely use again for another party.

Jun 10,2024Really helpful and friendly emails beforehand. We ordered the lego pack and everything was in clearly labelled drawstring bags. The lego was really eclectic with lots of different blocks to use and the kids loved the build your own car activity, so much that we didn't manage to do all the games we planned. Would definitely hire the pack again and recommend to friends. Just make sure you have big muscles, the pack was bigger than I envisaged, which if anything was a positive thing rather than a negative!

Jun 06,2024We had a great experience with our Packaway Party!! Highly recommended. The postal arrival and return was so easy, and all the decorations and attention to detail was fabulous. We loved the games, and were grateful of a little extra time to adapt some of the game plan for our neurodiverse daughter and her friends.

May 23,2024Liz was totally brilliant to work with - super responsive and happy to help. The courier service used was great - with accurate tracking. The guide/instructions for the party were really helpful and the concept is great - a party in a box! You get it out and it's all ready to go (even tiny details like pins/blutack) and at the end you pack it all back into the box - no waste, mess or guilt over single use plastics!

May 22,2024We bought the Pirate party box for our 5 year old's party. Liz's communication leading up to the party was clear, on-time, and generally very helpful. I didn't really know what quality to expect based on the pictures on the website so I was a bit apprehensive, but when the box turned up I was very impressed on every front. The party plan was detailed and clear, the games in the box were well stored and clearly labelled. Decorations were abundant and awesome! The party itself was a massive hit, and while we didn't follow the party plan to the letter, it still worked really well for us. The children LOVED dressing up, and really enjoyed all the games. Sending back the party box was easy and really convenient. Definitely recommend, and will probably use Packaway Parties in the future too.

May 17,2024Brilliant Concept and Great Communication! We hired the Harry Potter party box for 8 very excited 9-year-old Harry Potter-mad girls and they all had an amazing time. The box includes many decorations of different types as well as costumes and wands for the children and for the grown ups! There is a folder with detailed instructions for how to run the party including the games and all the equipment needed for the games. All of this is very much themed and in-line with the magical world of Harry Potter. Liz was very helpful from the start of the process through to refunding the deposit. We also love the sustainability of this concept and have already recommended it to lots of friends.

May 13,2024Such a great concept. Liz was really responsive and explained everything. There were so many decorations, props and games and the instructions were extremely thorough. But most importantly, the kids loved it. We overheard one saying it was the best party he'd ever been to. We went for the Pokemon theme and would have spent much more trying to recreate this from scratch. Apr 30,2024We had a Harry Potter Hogwarts Party in April for my 9 year old daughter and it was fantastic !! There was loads of props in the box and the detailed instructions. It was all so well organised. The only stress was that the box was delayed — but the communication and options were brilliant and we got the box on Friday for our Sunday party. After the party I received several notes from parents saying how much the kids enjoyed the party. I’d definitely recommend it to others - it’s a brilliant idea and business and great to be more sustainable and not have to buy all the decorations and costumes. There is so much attention to detail in the book provided to make it easy to set up and host the party. I can say I was happy to have 3 adults to run the party with 10 kids — it could have been done with 2 adults but may have been a bit hectic. Thank you again for making this party so magical ! I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to host an amazing party at home and get involved.

The games were well thought out and kept the children (all aged 10) well entertained. Also liked the sustainability of this idea. Liz was great throughout the process, great communication, and the delivery and collection of the box went well. Would definitely recommend and use again.

The decor and games are beautifully detailed and both children aged 6 and 8 have loved the activities and parties. The service is fantastic and Liz has been very helpful. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

When my daughter asked for a Harry Potter party I wondered how on earth we would be able to provide such an experience without spending the earth and buying tonnes of stuff we would never use again. In stepped packaway parties! Great communication from start to finish, loads of resources and games ideas clearly explained. And all went back in the box at the end. Kids had a whale of a time!

Mar 14,2024Perfect in every way! Ideal hassle free party for a group of 8 year olds, kept them entertained! The box comes with everything you need including prizes, the instructions are really detailed. Liz really has thought of everything! I wouldn’t hesitate to use again next year!

Mar 11,2024Spelltacular. We entertained a group of 11 7/8 year olds (plus a delighted 4 year old) for a Harry Potter party. The box that arrived was full of magic. Loads of decorations, costumes and a set of themed games that worked for both the die-hard Harry Potter fans and muggles alike. Liz was extremely helpful throughout.

Jul 22,2024I'm going to start by saying I will definitely use Packaway Parties again. When I first found them I liked the fact they offered something different, it wasn't the same format as all the other parties we'd been to and it wasn't going to cost me hundreds of pounds. I was very interested, I read all the reviews, but the thought of being the one running the party and being responsible if it all fell flat on its face was daunting. I carried on looking at more party options for a couple of weeks but kept coming back to Packaway Parties. In the end I gave a shortlist of ideas to my daughter to pick from and she wanted the princess party from the start. She loved the idea of following a story and going on a journey with her friends and I'm so pleased she picked this party. The communication has been timely and informative at every stage, the box itself had loads of decorations in and the sheer number of games meant there was no way the children couldn't stay engaged. There were sweets and prizes and other than food, I didn't have to think of anything. The plan was so easy to follow and once I'd sat down and read through it a couple of times, I felt a lot more at ease. I pretended the information folder was a spellbook so I could have it in front of me the whole time and I followed the plan to the letter, the timings were spot on. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Packaway Parties and would definitely use them again. It was a huge thumbs up from both children and adults alike!
