I have spent quite a lot of money with Polypipe over the past 20 years having a large 5 bedroomed house installed with underfloor heating & associated equipment. I have up graded the ground floor heating after having a couple of extensions built about 5 years ago so I needed to extend the underfloor heating to other rooms. I also bought new manifolds & TFT thermostats, heating pumps, these haven't worked properly from day one. The Stats are inaccurate to +/- 4 deg which is ridiculous. Even the time clock on them gains 4 minutes per month so they are no use as a clock let alone a thermostat. Polypipe came out & re-calibrated them some time ago whilst still under warranty, but they are now no use or ornament, expensive for what you are buying & certainly not fit for purpose. I am now having to go to the trouble of having all the stats changed & altered to how they should be by another manufacturer, new actuators installed as these also didn't work either & its going to cost quite a few thousand. I'm in the trade & wouldn't touch polypipe ever again, expensive rubbish & no aftersales service whatsoever as when i rang them they didn't want to know.

The thermostat is totally unusable. It's needlessly complicated, over engineered and it doesn't work as described. The user manuals are hopelessly brief and unhelpful. Have spent countless hours online trying to figure it out and I am in tears of frustration. All I want to do is set the temperature and it's like trying to fly a rocket ship where all the controls are in hieroglyphics, but not helpful ones. It asks for a date! Why? Why would a thermostat need to know the date? All I want is to set the temperature, I can adjust it if necessary, I don't want to set a different temperature for every minute of the year. But even if you take the time to learn it, it simply doesn't work as it's supposed to. It is an awful design. Avoid at all costs.

I'm a home owner - spoke to Technical Support for help with their UFH heating automation. Very impressed. A) they answer the phone! B) very helpful and clear in advice C) warm and friendly manner. Spoke to 2-3 different people, so not a 'one-off'. Recommended.

Possibly the worst after sales/customer service I’ve ever known Went to the underfloor heating course which to be fair I enjoyed and I told them I wanted my whole downstairs radiator free and would ufh keep us warm?the reply was yes definitely and that it was the best product on the market We were shown how to lay it and set it up Skip forward to many thousands of pounds later and the floor laid and commissioned Floor just not doing what it’s meant to be Customer service on the phone and email just downright appalling, accepting no responsibility whatsoever However I spoke to a senior engineer who claim my manifold was installed too close to my boiler (nothing mentioned on course or instructions)and that if I fitted a bypass valve then that would fix our issue To be fair the engineer came to site to take a look and claimed it’s fine and it works fine This however was summer months so I couldn’t really tell Fast forward to now where the heating has gone on and I’d say there’s more heat with candles Emailed them back and they responded a couple of times but now completely blank me The engineer did call once and blamed me saying the boiler was too close to the manifold I explained that he told me to fit a bypass valve and all would be good His response was “you needed it fitted by a competent person and not you)even though we’d been on the course I’ve since got an ufh engineer in who said the boiler being too close to the manifold is bs and give me some pointers which hopefully work Stay clear of Polypipe unless they can pick up their game in customer service I don’t expect to spend over £4k with them to be spoken down to like I’m a nobody Awful company and wish I’d have used another ufh product

Purchased a 20mm MDPE to 15mm pushfit stopcock over a year ago. One day it let go and flooded my kitchen so I put it down to bad luck and bought another. Now that one is weeping water from exactly the same place as the first one broke and the water has damaged my new wooden floor in the kitchen. Called technical help a couple of months ago asking for an explanation and an alternative. Had a long chat with someone about it and left my details but nobody has bothered to get back to me. Shocking customer service and over £50 spent on 2 identically poor products. I’ll buy another brand from now on.

After 6 weeks of trying to make contact I am still waiting for a response from Polypipe technical support! I ha e called, emailed and used live chat, all without success. I have installed over 80m² of overlay plus underfloor heating with ceramic tiling over. Everything has been installed in accordance with their written instructions but I now have numerous tiles lifting and popping in high traffic areas. According to the tiling contractor, the overlay plus boards are compressing under the weight of the tiles, breaking the bond between the tiles and boards. All this before the heating has been switched on, so what happens then is anyone's guess!! I have now made contact in writing giving them a final 7 days before instructing my company solicitor to instigate proceedings to recover the costs involved in completely ripping out the polypipe system and replacing it with another manufacturer's system. As kitchens and bathrooms etc have been installed over the tiled floors, the cost of this will be in excess of £30k, excluding any temporary accommodation expenses and compensation! If they had the decency to respond to my contact requests, they may have been able to resolve the issue far more easily! Reportedly making all of their underfloor heating sales representatives redundant may be very telling....

Initial design work was excellent until it was time to install. Incorrect design resulting in incorrect material. I had to chase around looking for the right material and poly pipe would not pay for my inconvenience in sourcing the material or the wasted time for the plumber trying to install the incorrect pipework. This accounted to £140 ON A £13,700 ORDER!!!

I had a Polypipe underfloor heating mixing valve (p/n PB970055) fail. I'm sure you are aware these valves operate the most basic engineering principles, if it's not stopped working as a result of sludge (mine hadn't), then all that can really fail is the thermostatic cartridge section, so that's what I set out to source, to discover Polypipe never made a service kit for this valve. I find that an odd manufacturing decision, BUT total credit to Polypipe, they were quick to explain the situation and very quick to send out a replacement valve using first class mail. Super customer support, thank you Polypipe.

Terrible products, terrible company. Shouldn't be allowed to trade. We had a Polypipe underfloor heating system installed a couple of years ago. The system is ok, but the control system is absolutely useless. Not fit for purpose. No customer service whatsoever, just held endlessly on recorded message.

I bought a house 2 years ago with Polypipe underfloor heating throughout; it was installed the year before we moved in. Within a year of me moving in the main unit broke...and consequently nothing works now. Not what you expect from a relatively new system. I emailed the PP help desk said their reply was "I'm not sure about the fault on your TFT thermostat, it may be the unit would need to be replaced"! They then sent a software update that did nothing. When I asked again for help I was unhelpfully sent a long Warranty document that showed they take no responsibility for their product after 2 years and either way I would have to pay a large call out fee. To replace the unit and get an engineer to fit it will cost me £640, yet for a little more I can rip the whole thing up and start again with another supplier. This seems like the most cost effective and least frustrating option. In short, avoid Polypipe..it will cost you a lot of money for a system that fails way too quickly.

I have been in the builders merchant Industry for 30 years now and I can safely say this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with!!!!!. I have ordered from them a couple of times and both times I really regret it. The orders never come complete and trying to get an answer on when the goods will arrive is IMPOSSIBLE. AVOID THIS COMPANY ABSOLUTE RUBBISH FROM START TO FINISH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dreadful company. We have been dealing with the team in Surrey area under area manager Tony Cox. They have ignored issues raised around the equipment and installation. Even their own technical department made complaints about their own equipment not being fit for purpose. We send thousands of pounds on underfloor heating, and they haven't made any attempt to solve problems. Disgusting. I would look at cheaper and better suppliers than Polypipe. What's more their so called "trained" plumbers or electricians don't really understand the equipment and struggle to work out problems or indeed fit correctly.

This company offer a list of approved plumbers on their website who can install their products. It turns out that these individuals may have completed a one day course but actually have no experience or knowledge on how to correctly install the system, e.g. they do not know what they are doing. For a good product that is really poor and lets them down. What's the point if it's installed incorrectly, it won't work!

Avoid at all costs I have sent numerous emails (and even followed up with phone calls) in regards to stock availability for some products, that my biggest customer is in dire need of. After having been promised a variety of dates as to when the products I needed would be available, I eventually gave up. Understandably, my customer has taken his business elsewhere as I was unable to obtain at least a half decent explanation Needless to say, this service is, at best, shambolic There is certainly a "go to work, get paid, go home" work ethic here. I cannot find one single person who cares about customer service Very, very poor for such a large company
