Mar 06,2019Purchased a Charnwood W824 lathe. On opening found one of the plastic feet was broken. Spoke with Poolewood and they arranged replacement foot from Charnwood that arrived the next day. Excellent service and will certainly use Poolewood again.

Feb 14,2019My advice, go to Axminster as I have always done, thought I'd try Poolewood as they seemed like good value, nearly a week later order has not even left them. I'll learn from this and stick with Axminster, if only had done that in the first place!

Jan 25,2019I was looking for a 10" (250mm) handsaw and decided on the scheppach as it boasted a175mm throat height the biggest in it class.It arrived damaged ..I contacted the people it was sent from whom I presume are the importers and without any fuss another was sent and the damaged one taken away .. The first bandsaw came with 2 free blades, the replacement did not.! After a quick assembly and set up all is good except for the throat height which is only a@120mm due to the protrusion of the top blade guide. Not, a fault of Poolewood Machinery I must add.. I was happy to deal with them and would again !.

Mar 08,2019Excellent piece of kit, reasonably easy to assemble, although I suggest you download the owners manual from the Charnwood site (the photos are clearer). Poolwood dispatched the saw quickly, although the company delivering, arrived with just the driver and no taillift on the van; the saw is v heavy!, he had to take it away again, and there was then a delay before they sent a van with tailllift and 2 men, job successful, if only they had done this to begin with, Looking forward to using the saw.
