ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY do not use. Total con people Mo and Bill. Lost over £8,000 on windows and doors. Placed order over two months ago and excuses after excuses as to why they cannot fit the windows and doors. Promised 4 weeks fitting, refused to give me a refund or even answer my calls and emails. Mo and Bill now telling me they are trading under a different name even though I bought the windows and doors in July 2023 from the shop on Tonge Moor Road Bolton. Made my family’s life a living hell as we have lost our money which we have worked so hard for and saved for over 5 years. They do not provide you with a FENSA or CERTASS certificate, so work is not compliant. Lies after lies after lies. Please avoid this company. All the terrible reviews about the same issues are true. ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY.
Do not go anywhere near this company they have taken £30000 or out money . Installed windows that leak and locks don’t work . It’s now been a year since they first started and still haven’t resolved the problems
Believe all bad reviews! I wish we did! This company is trading under Bespoke Composite Doors ltd, as soon as deposits were paid the circus started! We have had to pay 50% of the total cost before installation and remaining 50% on the day of installation however day before I was bombarded by salesman who was demanding the remaining payment otherwise the installation will not take place- quotation stated that remaining funds are to be paid ON THE DAY, was told its just a template so rules are different even though it was HANDWRITTEN! On the day of installation day 1 (should be one day job but took two days- one week apart !) the “fitters” been putting frame together with metal hammers (bear in mind aluminium frame) , it was put together wrong way round so had to dismantle and put back again, the seals for the glass were not installed so it was all wobbly each time wind blew, we have had our wooden floor damaged in couple places as it wasn’t protected, fitters said that somebody will arrive to finish off but we need to contact the office. Chased number of times the office when it will be fished and eventually the fitters returned a week later to finish. Day two of installation was even worse than the first one, number of dents on frames, holes in seals, scratches on glass, hammer marks, damaged paintwork, hole in my celling covered up with silicone, no cement or sealing under cills and many more, have emailed the salesman to express how unhappy we are however was told that the fitters said we are happy therefore installation is complete. After number of calls, emails and arguments they have arranged surveyor/fitter to come out to assess the work and following this visit we have had a visit booked to rectify issues three weeks after - by the same incompetent team, however the door is still not fit for purpose, top frame is not in parallel as the bi-fold door when open slides down and closing itself, hinges are wearing off leaving metal shavings on cill, cannot lock the door with key when its warm outside, door is not keeping warmth inside as can feel draft through, installed seals are dull and not fit for purpose leaving gaps in corners or overlapping one on another, the frame corners are not meeting on 90degrees as either not meeting each other and can see through or bashed into each other to MAKE IT fit, frame is bent in many places. Will add a link to their facebook page for pictures as evidence as cannot add here. We have also had independent company assessing the work against building regulations and received shocking report Forget about given guarantee as they do not honour it, the job was completed in April 2022 and is still not resolved! We are being ignored, lied to and mislead, they say they will come back to you and then they don’t. Will have to claim money back through court as we need to get somebody else to take it all out and fit new door and windows in
Believe all the bad reviews. This is not an honest company. Do not fall for the hard sell lowest prices quick delivery promises. We did and paid 50% deposit on a considerable project based on them telling us they were members of the Ombudsman scheme. When we checked the Ombudsman advised us they had been suspended. When we heard this we tried to cancel and they told us the windows were in manufacture and could not be cancelled. This was before we had had a surveyor round - they had previously sent round a fitter! Beware Bill Brooks an old fashioned salesman and Mo the manager who will spin a yarn re what he can do for you. We spoke with Citizens Advice and our Bank and both advised us to go legal on them which we are doing.
This company is a subsidiary of Bespoke Composite Doors Ltd and the owners keep using my name to promote and give credibility to the operation just to put on record I sold Bespoke Composite Doors In November 2020 and I do not have any involvement at all with either company David Hilton
Numerous companies trading under this name to cover for scandalous customer service and quality. Our windows were late and installed by unqualified engineers which resulted in damage that the company never even tried to repair. Keep away from this company, or any companies related (BESPOKE COMPOSITE DOORS LTD) - you will lose money!
Amazing experience from start to finish! Mo who first came out to us is a really nice young lad, a true gentlemen & not the typical pushy sales type you almost expect to have to deal with. The doors were fitted 6 weeks earlier than the other quotes I had received and they also matched their price. Danny & his team of fitters did an amazing job - very happy with the quality of the doors & no mess to clear up afterwards either. Highly recommended - five stars! Great company thank you Mo
Riverdale windows do not make any of their windows, they rely on honest manufacturers to supply units, keeping your money until the last and final minute until they order from the cheapest quote and then their hopeless and obviously unqualified fitters turn up and make such a mess of fitting that you need to have a full refit straight away. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Fantastic from start to finish. After a free quote and helpful chat with a member of the sales team all the way through the completion of the new sliding door we had fitted, we cannot complain. The door is beautiful, 2 huge glass panels in an anthracite grey frame. The whole fitting took a few hours and that included removing the old door and windows and knocking down two small walls. The fitters were exceptional, they did the job quickly and pretty quietly considering what was involved. The guys cleaned up beautifully and the attention to detail they had during the actual fitting and finishing of the door was second to none. The door moves smoothly and does not feel as heavy as anticipated considering its size. We were very lucky that from quote to installation only took a few weeks so we are still going to get to enjoy having the door open during the summer. We felt that the cost of the door was good value for money and would recommend Bespoke to anyone
contracted Riverdale to install a conservatory as part of a larger project we were already working with a client on. Just great service, great product and no messing. Look forward to our next project with Jordan & the team. Cheers lads
I have just read Claire Bamford's review, dated 11 April 2022 and the response from Riverdale Windows. I have also read Claire's review on the Bespoke Composite Doors site. Riverdale Windows reply is not a truthful statement. That it does in not have a persons name at the end is significant. Bespoke Composite Doors and Riverdale Windows have the same General Manager, Josh Parker. How do I know this? I placed an order with Bill for an orangery roof. All the literature Bill showed me had the name Riverdale Windows on it, but the the sales agreement made had the name Bespoke Composite Doors. The correspondence on the subsequent problems with this Bespoke Composite Doors order came from Josh Parker, General Manager, Riverdale Windows. May I leave it to readers of this review to conclude why Riverdale Windows are not telling the truth? My advice to Claire and any other customer trying to recover money from either Riverdale Windows or Bespoke Composite Doors is to 1. If you have paid by a VISA credit card make a claim on your Bank. They legally have the same liability as these two companies. 2. If you have paid by a debit card or a cheque, still contact your bank. They have an informal agreement between each other to help customers in a similar way. 3. In addition to contacting your bank, contact your local Trading Standards. You might be surprised what the effect this will have in resolving your claim. COMMENTS ON REPLY FROM RIVERDALE WINDOWS As usual there is no name on the reply from Riverdale Windows. "We have not carried out any work for you. So to put a 1 star review on seems very odd. " The 1 star review was a response to my request to refund a deposit of £6,300 when the order was correctly cancelled. It was not about work done. "You placed an order, paid a deposit of £6,300 then cancelled within your cancellation period. " All the details in this statement are correct. The questions to be asked are why was my deposit not refunded when requested after my order was correctly cancelled? "We are a trustable company and do right by our customers. " From my experience Riverdale Windows / Bespoke Composite Doors are not a trustable company that does right by it's customers. When I correctly requested the return of my deposit within 14 days of ordering, I was told that because the deposit had been spent on bespoke products I could not cancel the order. I had to complain to Trading Standards and make a claim through my Bank to recover the deposit of £6,300. "You have received a FULL refund of £6,300. You have received all your money back and there has been no work carried out. " After contacting Trading Standards and my Bank I received a refund of £6,000. I was told that the outstaying £300 would be refunded on the condition that I removed my Bespoke Composite Doors 1 star review. The outstanding £300 had to be recovered by my Bank using a charge back on Bespoke Composite Doors. There was no work carried out because the order was cancelled. "We would appreciate if you don’t just put false 1 star reviews on because it is not based on any work we have done and we have returned all monies paid to us by you in good faith. " May I leave it to readers of this review to judge the 1 star rating which is based on the refusal to return a £6,300 deposit on a correctly cancelled order. Yes, all monies have been returned but not in good faith. I had to complain to Trading Standards and my Bank to get my money back.
Riverdale windows still owe us £1,252 DO NOT USE THIS Andrew Bamford Not true you still owe us £1252, We paid for your skips and your Building control, I can post the receipts if needed. At least you are now acknowledging that we used your company and not just Fake review, We paid you a deposit of £6000 We paid for 3 skips and Building control £1252 We Received £5250 back from our bank,Yes we could actually use £750 worth of footings. Do you expect customers to pay for your skips and Building Control ? Every penny you say , Do the maths.
had 6 new windows fitted at my new home in Leeds last week & the process couldn't have been smoother tbh. As easy as buying something off amazon. Cheers lads
If I could rate this company with a minus star, I would. Please believe all the bad reviews. I wish I’d scrolled down further when I was reading the reviews. I think they must get someone they know to flood Trust Pilot with good reviews to cover all the bad ones. One of them will write a response claiming they have gone above and beyond but it is all lies. They say they are a family company, they say they have integrity, they say a lot of nice things about themselves. But they are cutting corners and leaving so many families in a financial mess. If they say I’m not a customer like they have to Angela, this is a lie. I do not know how they sleep at night. I went with this company because they were advertising as a Rochdale company in Red Rose magazine and we somehow were redirected to Bespoke Composite Doors. Every thing about their operation is shifty and dishonest. The company suggested that we had an ‘opened up’ conservatory, also referred to ‘non-exempt’ in August. This means there are no doors separating the conservatory from your house. Alarm bells started when we had received no paperwork which they said would be electronic; the order confirmation or schedule of work never arrived. Then when I rang, there was a muttered ‘hello’ or ‘Bespoke.’ When I challenged this, the voice said they were the same company. Then they sent out a surveyor. This man, we later found out, was a window measurer. We were told that the whole process would take no longer than 7 weeks so when we got to the third week, I rang again and was promised that the builders would be with us by the end of the week. When the builders arrived, they didn’t know the size or location of the conservatory. We had been advised that the conservatory foundations should be 1.5m deep but the builders started building on our concrete printing. Josh sent out his ‘top team’ who worked really hard but when a builder we knew saw the work, he advised us to involve Building Control due to all the issues he could see. The GM insisted that Building Control should be involved at the very end. This is untrue. We should also have involved SAP to ensure that we were meeting thermal standards. We paid for the Building Control inspection and were told that the foundations and brickwork were shoddy and they did not meet Building Control regulations for a non-exempt conservatory. We were also told that it would be us who were liable to correct all the mistakes if we went ahead with Riverdale/Bespoke’s plans. We agreed to have an exempt conservatory - with separating doors - but Building Control still had to oversee the standard. At this point, Riverdale claimed that they could not get the standard of builders to complete the job and wanted to terminate our contract. We have paid £7,252 and the only part of the building work that we can still use is the footings. This work costs no more than £900. We have three separate builder reports which state that the brickwork and foundations need to start from scratch. So we have nothing to show for our money. We are currently using the DGCOS as mediators. So far Riverdale have offered us a partial refund but why would you accept that when you have paid for a complete conservatory base? It would be like going to a car dealership, ordering a lovely new car and when it arrives there are no wing mirrors, all the windows are smashed and the engine needs replacing. Would you accept this? No. So why would you accept a shoddily build conservatory base which would undoubtedly have caused us problems months down the line. I cannot believe that they are allowed to trade. We will probably have to go to court now. The stress is making me ill and they know that the conservatory was meant to be a positive environment for my cancer recovery. Claire Bamford
From getting the quote to the installation - the services has been excellent. The initial quote was detailed and the follow up visit from the sales rep was fast and all the options explained in full details at my home and a time which suited me. The surveyor arrived after confirmation of my order in a very short time and carried out a very detailed survey and setup up the installation date. The installation date was just over 3 weeks from the date i placed the order which is great. The installers on the agreed day arrived on time and were polite and worked fast and they have done the fitting in one day for 5 windows and 1 front door and the worked done is very professional and on their departure they took away all the old windows and doors and left my home clean and tidy. The entire experience has been a positive one and I would highly recommended anyone who is looking to get their windows and doors changed. A good value for your money and a very professional service from start to finish and I am happy to write this very positive review.
I asked Riverdale to replace our wooden conservatory keeping the original dwarf wall and with new windows and a 'look a like' insulated solid roof The products used were first class , the fitters were well experienced requiring no input from me and the finishing and cleaning up could not be faulted
I first commissioned Riverdale to undertake works on our new build project in the early part of 2021 after being particularly reassured & impressed by the knowledge of their aluminium specialist guys who had at that point spent some 8 weeks advising, estimating and re-estimating our project. Following this I was handed over to Mark for a 3 day period of back and forth surveying of what was then a building site, again with extremely through workmanship & diligence in ensuring the architectural vision & construction were consistent with the glazing requirements. Seven weeks later I had a team of 4 Riverdale installers & what seemed like a fleet of vans festooned across my driveway by 07:15am, to which position they re-appeared each morning with a varying arsenal of tools & hi-tech lifting equipment for 12 solid days during the height of the summer in August, until the project was completed. Mid-way through this period we had unfortunate accident whereby a third party tradesman caused severe damage to one of the frames and several glass units, which panicked my wife somewhat alarmingly, until we spoke with Riverdale management who within 3 hours had actioned an entire corrective agenda of works & cost recovery agreements with said third party. We are now living our retirement in our dream property & forever home, with what can only be described as jaw dropping glass elevations comprising the striking overall effect we had imagined some 8 years ago. My wife & I could not possibly recommend Riverdale, in a way which is becoming enough of our experience with them & we were only too happy to leave them this substantive feedback. Thanks again Riverdale team....please do pop in again to see us for a coffee when you are next passing. Yours, Joshua & Felicity
Our house now looks lovely with my new slimline windows in my favourite colour and a new door to match. Thnx to Peter in sales really nice chap & Mark the engineer. Luke from Alderley Edge
Had all my new windows fitted over last couple of days by Riverdale and the guys were brilliant over the 3 days, couldn’t do enough & very tidy. Cheers

Oct 11,2023Avoid these crooks. They are now trading as waterdale windows in Bolton. I urge everyone that has been robbed by them to contact trading standards, and the police. They’ve taken 2 grand from my mum and neither fitted her windows or refunded her back. It’s been over 4 months.
