Shotokan Karate JKA Academy, Luton's premier samurai style dynamic shotokan karate academy.Our Karate classes are for all ages from 4 years upwards & take you beyond your personal best towards the pursuit of excellence in body, mind, spirit.
For the Kids our JKA karate classes help you raise healthy,happy,confident children who reach their full potential through learning shotokan karate martial arts and self-defence skills as well as self-discipline.We have different programs with different focus, for example the Tiny Tigers Program for kids from 4-8 years, and Family General Program for 8 years and above.
For the Adults our JKA karate classes develop ultimate fitness, strength, & flexibility whilst teaching you ultimate JKA personal self-defence techniques as well as perfecting your physical & mental health development through the practise of karate as a martial art of ultimate self-defense as taught by Aktar sensei 6th Dan.

Mar 08,2022DONT BOTHER IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY UNDERLINE NEED. My child has ADHD and was refused entry before he could even try for one session, telling me “they don’t achieve!” He was written off before he could even try. They are ableist! I wouldn’t want to take my children anywhere that wrights them off before they’ve been given a chance, seen as Kids who couldn’t achieve anything before they have even met them. I would AVOID!

Sensei Sham Aktar and his highly experienced team want every student to enjoy the sessions and get the very best out of Karate, not just physically but mentally. Everyone is welcome and the club has a family feel that is inclusive for all, no matter what their experience. Highly recommended.

We are very pleased to have such experience and professional instructors like Sensei Sam Aktar,Senpai Jon Keen,Senpai Ejaaz Cadinouche and Senpai Prab Padisetti. They are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We can see not only physical development in our son but his concentration towards study also improve. Teaching methods deserve more than 5 starts.
