Very professional sa,les pitch and very helpful. Delivered on the day they said, half hour notice given, very good help with putting it together and explaining controls. One problem you need to rectify, finding the serial number was very, very difficult especially if you are not agile. The serial number needs to be provided on the paperwork or completed by the team putting it together. Good job at 72 I could still find it with help of a torch. Without the number you cannot activate your guarantee.
The Burlington three piece suite with its waterfall back is very comfortable and adjustable. Also I can add or remove padding to suit, as it wears. Unfortunately, the assembler did not clip the leads of one chair properly, so they came apart after the first couple or uses and I had to move the chairs to re-clip them. Then, I read the manual and found that, in order to register the electronics' 5-year guarantee with Sitting Pretty, I had to enter the serial numbers, which are not easy to find, being written in grey, upside down on a black motor housing box inside the left hand side of each chair. This meant moving both chairs away from the wall, lying on my side with a torch to find the numbers, then photographing the labels. Rise and recliner chairs are, by definition, aimed at customers with reduced mobility, like me. Why ask them to perform these acrobatics? CareCo informed me that the numbers are also written on the fire safety labels. I found them in different places underneath the left hand side of my two chairs - one near the front and one slightly protruding further back due to poor assembly. To read these, I had to lean the chairs at 45 degrees to the right, another thing I shouldn't have had to do. Why not give customers a guarantee card with the numbers printed on it? Alternatively, the CareCo assembly team should have entered the numbers on the guarantee form before assembly.
Lovely chair in nice leather. Does all I want it to and makes life much easier for me especially after my recent operation.
You have failed to repair my chair Appalling service Do not buy from this company
On visiting the "careco" showroom so as to purchase a mobility scooter we were introduced to the Sitting Pretty range of Hudson chairs. We were impressed as to the quality and comfort of the chairs and as such ordered a Two seater recliner, a one seater recliner and a riser recliner. We were kept informed as to the delivery date and a phone call to me confirmed as to there arrival. The two fitter/ installers David and James arrived on time a set up the chairs, demonstrated how to operate them and took away the protective wrapping leaving a clean working space.
Can recommend this firm, Thistle Help with 100% commitment for their customer service. Nothing was too much trouble from start to completion and amazingly ,every single member of staff was really nice person. Made our day . We were updated continuously and a delight in all aspects. All necessary details were on our invoice from this super firm. No hunting for numbers anywhere required. Another big plus.
Marlborough chair purchased through CareCo UK Ltd. Chair is excellent quality. One minor issue is the accessibility of the serial number which is required for the mechanism guarantee. Make sure to get it before the delivery technician leaves.
I bought my recliner through Careco and was very pleased with the delivery and the chair. After a week or so I decided to buy the armchair covers so paid the £43.00 and was told it was 10 day delivery. The time came and went and on querying the delivery was told it would 6 weeks as they had to be made up. When they arrived I opened the package with great anticipation only to find they were the wrong colour and design. I have called time and again to complain about this and always get told I will be called back and nothing happens. This has been going on for weeks and if this is customer service then it falls very short. I can honestly say that I would now not recommend either company. I hope I don’t have to take this further.
I bought the Dorchester Premier for my grandmother and it was perfect. The grey fabric went really well in the lounge so still looks fashionable and on trend as I know some recliner chairs can be such an eye sore! The movement was great and so comfortable, I would often steel her spot in the chair after she'd gone to bed

Jan 09,2025The Chair arrived in far quicker time than expected so manufacture was quite efficient. Two guys delivered and set up the chair for me. They went the extra mile and helped dismantle our now redundant previous chair so we were very pleased with their service and helpfulness. The chair is supremely comfortable. It suits my disability perfectly. Had trouble finding the serial number on the chair but used a number printed on the remote control which worked and so it's registered for the 5 year guarantee. Nothing to complain about there then. Has to be 5 stars.
