Sep 28,2023From start to finish The Big Bang Team was AMAZING! I did the 7 day Lemosho Route and had such an incredible experience with Amos and the team! My guide Amos was professional, knowledgable and friendly and although I was only with my partner on the trek he put us at ease straight away, was always on hand for any questions and each day always discussed what the plan was for the following day. I felt at ease and knew I was in safe hands! During the trek he ensured that we were feeling fit and well and his motivation, support (and patience) successfully got us to the summit. The whole crew were amazing, I was served delicious meals and definitely did not go hungry and the porters are just incredible making sure that everything is set up for you as soon as you get to each camp, I can’t imagine how difficult it all is logistically but they make it look so easy and always had a smile on their face! What a team!!! I would 100% recommend The Big Bang and will definitely be back next year for Safari.

Jul 27,2023Absolutely incredible! I went on a solo trip but didn’t feel alone at all. The guide was incredible and allowed me to set the pace of the trip. All the porters/chef/waiter were so friendly and happy to help. The views were unbelievable and the route I took enabled me to see the different terrains of the mountain.

Jul 24,2023Our trek with The Big Bang Adventures to Kili on Lemosho route, was an amazing adventure. All that I expected and so much more. Our guide Fred was very attentive to supporting every person in our 4 group party and a wealth of information throughout the 8 days in regards to the Lemosho Trail, as well as the culture of Tanzania. Fred helped us connect with our porters on a personal level and it was very obvious that he cared deeply about each and every one of them. I had researched companies extensively before traveling and can say I am thrilled with my choice of The BB.

Jul 11,2023The big bang can provide special dietary needs. They made everything vegan for us, it was really delicious and much better than we expected. William, the organiser, really went above and beyond with his service. He drove us everywhere we needed and made sure we were well prepared. I had a medical issue which made me doubt if I was fit to climb so he took me to a clinic to get me checked by a doctor. On the mountain we had medical check ups (blood oxygen and heart pulse) twice a day. The summit day my guide decided for me that my blood oxygen was too dangerously low so I had to go back when I was at 5200m. Even though I was very dissapointed I'm happy he made that decision. I would have probably pushed through and maybe some other guides would have allowed me to continue. Obviously summiting is never worth risking your life. Hope you all have a great adventure.

Jun 29,2023We did 5 days Safari trip. Gloria was very patient and helpful! The guide Julius is very kindness and we saw the big five with him! Otherwise the wifi connection is quite bad in the camp in Serengeti.

Jun 27,2023Our group of 9 chose this travel specialist as our tour operator for the Kilimanjaro trek and the 3-day safari. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for this wonderful experience. Our guides: Donald, Shukuru, Innocent, and of course, our beloved Reginald were incredible and we are grateful for what they did for us on this journey. Thank you to all the porters, I tried porting their bags on my head and couldn't stand 5 minutes. Truly remarkable. The staff, more specifically Rose, went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top notch, including making sure we receive our lost bags before the start of our trek. Thank you all so much! Their company is locally owned and you can trust that they take very good care of their employees. They also rely on how many groups book with them to survive so please, if you consider hiking Mount Kilimanjaro or doing a safari, choose them."

Jun 24,2023Impossibly pampered from start to finish, The Big Bang redefined glamping for our 8 day Lemosho route Kilimanjaro climb. Seriously, they have the best equipment, best food, and best team. My friends and I were continuously shocked at the delicious, fresh variety of food provided each day. Reginald (the chef) was just one of our many heroes. David (the camp manager) would greet us with a smile at the end of each hike and personally show us to each of our tents with our bags already inside. He worked through the night on windy nights to make sure everything stayed staked down. The Big Bang doesn’t make you use the outhouses, with them you get a personal toilet, always clean. The porters’ attitudes were incredible, always smiling despite working so hard! (The people on Tanzania are simply incredible. I didn’t want to leave.) Last but not least, the guides: I wouldn’t have made it without them. Seriously Kilimanjaro doesn’t seem so bad when you look at the daily mileage breakdowns, but when you factor in altitude... whew! The Lemosho route is very good for getting used to the elevation before summit. That said, the guides really shined on summit day. Justin especially helped me, knew the right things to say and even carried my daypack for part of the day. I know my friends personally got help from the other guides. We were all so grateful they got us to the top. It was hard! But so worth it. Go with The Big Bang!

Jun 05,2023Our guides Fabian, Babu and Youssef were incredibly professional and knowledgeable. As we ascended the mountain they kept a close eye on everyone in the group and ensured our ascent was "pole pole". Along the way they often told us about local plants, wildlife, history, and about life in the area. Collectively, the whole team on the mountain couldn't do more to support our ascent and make the trip as comfortable as possible for the group - from daily briefings and health checks, to cooking up excellent meals, to providing first aid, field-repairing broken trekking poles and dusting off boots when we arrived at camp. They really are an incredible bunch of people and I'm so thankful to have had their support! All exceeded expectations and I can't recommend them more.

Jasmine was there every step of the way, quickly responded to any questions we had. Our guide and driver Rashid was very knowledgeable and carrying and made our experience absolute best.

May 09,2023Very friendly staff. They always put us first and attended to us at every camp. Everyone was very supportive of us and encouraging which helped us get up the mountain. The team were respectful and professional. We loved our experience with monkey adventures before and after the climb.We did the 7 day hike which was relatively easy until the last day. One thing I would recommend is taking a book or some form of evening entertainment (maybe cards) because there was a lot of downtime after a morning of hiking on the 7 day option. Highly recommended them!

May 09,2023Amazing Life Time Experience. We booked the 7 day Machame route and would not have made it to Uhuru peak without encouragement of our main guide . Not to mention the Camping restaurant level performance by our professional chef Nicolus. Not only did The Big Bang Adventures organize our climb, they've taken care of our safety, even bringing us to the airport a second day when our luggage was delayed without charging extra. Kili Team Adventures excel in ensuring we have 'hakuna matata.' We especially liked The Big Bang Adventures because all of the staff is local and all that you pay goes to the local.

Apr 29,2023I did the Machame 6 Day Budget Kilimanjaro Climb. I started planning a climb before even booking anything for Tanzania. I started communicating with The Big Bang Adventures over email and they were super helpful and responsive. I was umm-ing and ahh-ing over so many different aspects of the climb; what date to go, which route to take, group or solo, how many days, etc. etc. However, they were so accommodating and answered every single question I had and gave me pros and cons of all my option. The meals I had on the Kili climb were amazing! I couldn’t believe I was receiving freshly made soup, freshly popped popcorn and meals such as spaghetti bolognaise up a mountain!! The head guide was more than supportive of me; answering all my questions along the way. The summit climb is TOUGH and there are a lot of elements that you don’t think about beforehand. Due to this I had so many emotions making me want to quit but my guide absolutely would not let me. He knew that physically I was able, it was completely mental due to many conditions including altitude. He pushed me forward and in the end I completed the climb in five days rather than the per-planned six! Highly recommended them!

Once there, our Safari guide and driver fulfilled all our wished and let us find and see every animal on the way. Of course, big five included! We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara Parks. We were able to see many different animals, from adults to cabs. He is a driving who knows every single detail of each of them. The visit to the Western Serengeti to see the migrating Wildebeest was amazing! I would recommend to book with them.

The main attraction for our group was they advertised that their local and they looked after their porters, cook, Guides and safari drivers and this was exactly what we wanted more. They were treated exceptionally well by the company and In turn they really looked after us. The meals on the climb were of a very high quality, including the vegan and vegetarian. The soup was to die for. The Tanzanian guides, porters and staff were the kindest, friendliest, and hospitality people I have met in a long time. Thank you The Big Bang Adventures, will not stop recommending you to anyone who is searching for Kilimanjaro.

The climb was so well organised and the staff were feed and dressed appropriately but most of all they were happy in their jobs despite the difficulties ahead they had a smile on their face the whole way up and down.

Our safari guide helped us see all of the big 5 animals despite a compressed schedule and taught us a lot about everything we saw.

The team were sensational from start to finish and really excelled in their service and friendship. We could not have done it without them and their smiles and laughter carried us through to the top of the summit. They really went above and beyond and now Jimmy, Lazaro, Frankie, Hassan and the rest of the team are lifelong friends. Could not recommend them enough!
