Dec 04,2024I have been a travelzoo member for many years and have just paid for another years membership. I am very disappointed with this most recent trip, hence my honest feedback. The staff and food were lovely with the following exception. When ordering our dinner I asked if it was possible to have skin on fries rather than chunky chips and stated I would pay extra. Waiter said he would check with kitchen. Next conversation I had was when meal was served with chunky chips. I reminded him of our earlier conversation and was told that what I had been served (ie chunky chips) was the same as skin on fries. I tried to argue the point but he wouldn't back down but did remove the price of 1 beer from the overall bill. I remain confused as the menu clearly stated that steaks were served with skin on fries so it seems there would have been availability from the kitchen. The room was very clean although extremely tired and the double bed appeared to be a small double bed, ie. 4ft wide. Hotel policy didn't appear to accommodate changes, I.e. on booking the break I asked if we could have an alternative to prosecco. Answer was negative. Its a shame as I am normally generous with my star ratings but feel these few little glitches let the hotel down. Also am not certain of official star rating but would think a low to mid 3 star rating would be the best one could expect.

Dec 04,2024Das Zimmer war sehr nett und gemütlich, auch das Essen war hervorragend. Die Preise für die Getränke waren überzogen ( z.B. eine Flasche Wasser 8 Euro). Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Dec 04,2024Es war ganz toll. Ich war mit einer Freundin dort und wir haben den Service im Hotel genossen. Absolut freundliches Personal, ob an der Rezeption oder im Hermanns wo wir zu Abend gegessen haben. Das Essen war fantastisch, wenn auch etwas teurer. Hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Würde ich wieder buchen!!!
