My experience with Claudia at Fitzrovia was one of the worst massages I’ve ever had. The pressure was nonexistent, the technique lacked skill, and overall, it felt like a wasted session. I left feeling more tense and disappointed than when I arrived. Awful experience!
Popped in to their Covent Garden branch a few weekends back and was pleasantly surprised how nice the staff were and how good the back rub was. Done the job nicely. Might go back but finding the time very tricky. It is very convenient and like it says you can just walk in. You might have to wait ten mins or so here and there but the staff got to us fairly quick and we didn’t feel it was a rushed experience.
I’ve been going to the Walk-in Backrub for a number of years, and almost always they’re brilliant. I feel compelled to write about my experience yesterday though at their Neal’s Yard branch. The therapist didn’t ask me if I had any particular concerns (which they always normally do), or how I would like the pressure. She was so firm, but not in a nice way, that I had to ask her to back it off. The whole half hour was borderline unpleasant, with some really unusual and uncomfortable pulling on my wrists which I’ve never had before. Within half an hour of leaving I developed a splitting headache which I’m sure was due to the fact that I spent the whole time tensed up while I was being massaged. I should have said something, but frankly I was too self-conscious in such a quiet space to say anything, and I didn’t want to make a fuss as she was perfectly nice. So disappointing.
I have been visiting Tavistock branch since August once a month. Each time I have visited I have seen someone different, each time brilliant. I arrive with tense shoulders and tender shoulder blades and leave relaxed and pain free, what's more I sleep better and wake up without pain. I cannot recommend this enough, no booking required - just go when you need to!!
NO GO PLACE On 02nd October 2021 there was a bald person at Back Rub in Selfridges Central London. I have not come across a person so RUDE. Probably he is under the impression that he owns Selfridges. If he is busy then others too are. He has no right to be rude to customers. Have seen him before as well, always have a frown on his face. Never seen him smiling. People visit them to destress and not to spoil their day. I will never visit this place again.
A really bad experience. I hate deep tissue style massages and I got one without being asked about the level of pressure. In every other massage I’ve had, I’ve been asked this! I won’t be returning which is sad as it’s a great place to go to otherwise.
Worst Massage i've ever had complete waste of money and time
Very Good Service!
I usually go to the WIBR in Soho. It's very quiet and peaceful so it's possible to have a very relaxing back-rub in the middle of the day, despite its central London location! The team are very professional and well trained, and if there is a queue (which there often isn't) I never have to wait long. I highly recommend this place. It's also not expensive.
Great place, great service. The new shop is in a lovely quiet courtyard, offering the same excellent services as before, maintaining high standards. I am reluctant to leave a review encouraging people to go along meaning I have to queue, however it really is a little gem in Soho!
I regularly go to the Walk In Back rub and I have never had a bad experience. They are happy to tailor the pressure to whatever your preference is and I always walk out feeling better. I have neck and shoulder problems and the massages work wonders.
I love Walk-in Back Rub. The therapists are always excellent & do a really thorough & professional job. Pressure is always on the firm side which I like - no wimpy massages here, feels like they are actually working your muscles properly! The new location in Soho is super-convenient, and in a really quite cul de sac which is great.
Great little spot for a quick rub!
Best lunchtime massage ever. Very relaxing and super friendly people! 10 minutes was ideal for releasing the desk stress you get daily. Totally recommend and will be back!
Lovely place, great massage. Thanks!
Always a great place to go when you need a back rub. Cant recommend them more!
Expert hands! Always brilliant. They listen to what you need and clearly know their stuff. I go back time and time again to help me survive the modern hamster wheel.
Excellent massage, very friendly staff and the new location is beautiful. I use Walk-in Backrub frequently and it is a great service. If you're tired or have a headache a 10 min backrub can make you feel great. Highly recommend it!!

Oct 19,2024We had our backrub at Covent Garden .We had the luxurious backrub. It was absolutely fantastic. The therapist was very skilled and identified my areas of tension without being told. I left feeling a whole lot better. Highly recommend
