Apr 25,2024Update - I just sold one of the hand held stairlift remote controls on eBay for more than WBAS gave me for our complete £5k, 9 month old stairlift! Good company to deal with – the ladies in the office were excellent and so was Ash, the engineer who came to remove the stairlift. To be fair to the company, they did exactly what they said they’d do, on the day they said they'd do it, at the time they said they'd do it and the job was completed in under and hour. However, there is one fly in the Chardonnay……… Like quite a few other people have remarked on TrustPilot, the prices offered by WBAS are about as low as they could possibly be, without being non existent. I'm sure they would argue that we accepted the price and no-one else wanted to outbid them and we got the stairlift efficiently removed from the house, which is the main thing. However, WBAS paid us just £50 for our mint, 9 month old £5,000 Bespoke Infinity stairlift. I know that some makes of stairlift would have given us a better return (one of many good reasons not to buy a stairlift from Bespoke Ltd) but even for the better, more popular makes you are talking about getting a maximum of a few hundred pounds back for something that will have cost 10 times more than that when new (which may not be that long ago). The bottom line is that even expensive stairlifts are pretty much worthless the day after they have been installed, so what you're really paying for when you employ WBAS is the convenience of a swift, efficient removal of something that you no longer want in the house. If that is your primary driver, then WBAS is pretty much your only commercial option.

Apr 21,2024To be clear, I provided dates to a company representative on the telephone when I had an initial conversation and the first date I received did not reflect this. This is why I continue to assert that your service and integrity is dreadful. The company’s response does not relate to me at all. I told the company that the stairlift was an Thyssen Flow 2 over 10 years old. It was never a question of purchase but purely one of removal. Another example of how appalling this company is. If I had been told that I would have to wait over a month to book a date for removal when the first date offered was not suitable, I would not have proceeded to engage with them. Avoid this company as integrity and customer service very poor. I found a local company offering a better, more responsive service to remove a stairlift for £80 less. This company’s representatives say “read the web site” but I had direct communications with employees who I felt misled and misinformed me, particularly, at a stressful time when managing the relocation of an elderly and ill family member. I have never felt so incensed by the actions of a company and have no doubt that they are very skilled at defending their dire service and care of customers they let down.

Nathan, the engineer, arrived on time, was very polite and very efficient and had finished just over an hour later. There was good communication with Nathan and the company, keeping me informed at every step. The £150 received for the stairlift was a nice bonus. The removal of a stairlift from a loved one's house can be an emotional process for relatives. We Buy Any Stairlift made it as easy as possible. Thank you.
