I was placed with a marketing company where my mentor taught me how to manage marketing campaigns on social media. The experience also taught me many skills that I can use in my future work.

Aside from learning a lot about accounting work, the program taught me how to improve my self-discipline since I have to work on my own most of the time. I wish I had chosen a longer work experience. I found the 3 months a bit short because I was really enjoying doing the tasks assigned to me.

I learned many things about the field I wanted to be in and also about myself. The host organisation they placed me in was equally great. They treated me well and provided me responsibilities that were usually designated to entry-level staff, which I was very grateful about. I really think that I would not have a better internship experience if it weren’t for Your Intern Experience’s help.

I realised I needed more professional work experience, which prompted me to give Your Intern Experience’s program a try. They found me a great match with a small accounting firm. My mentor was very professional and willing to share his knowledge about accounting work. The tasks he assigned to me were quite challenging but at the same time very rewarding since I was learning a lot along the way. By the end of the program, I felt like a different person—more prepared and confident. Thanks for the amazing opportunity!

Aug 06,2019I did a languages and translation virtual internship through Your Intern Experience. I liked the arrangement because it was flexible and it allowed me to experience working for an organisation without necessarily having to travel to and from office. As for the work itself, the organisation I was placed with first gave me training on how to translate. The training lasted for a week, which was excellent as I learned how to do things the right way. From there, I was assigned tasks, mostly translating website content into Spanish. It was a fun job which allowed me to make the most of my skill in speaking and understanding another language. Because of that experience, I actually landed a job as a translator a month after completing the virtual internship.

Jul 30,2019They arranged my marketing internship in London and I have nothing but good words for their service. The members of their teams were approachable and always answered questions professionally. As for the internship itself, I had the opportunity to work with a nice senior marketer. Since much of their marketing work in there was done online, she taught me how to effectively manage social media accounts and campaigns and even introduced me to the basics of email marketing. After just 3 months, I actually felt that the time was short because I was really enjoying my time there and the company of the people I was working with.

Jul 29,2019Their virtual internship for accounting has taught me a lot of stuff that I didn’t encounter in textbooks. I learned my way around financial statements and understood how to prepare and reconcile accounts. I appreciate that the arrangement was remote because it was a great way for me to cut on cost, since I didn’t have to go to an office everyday for my internship. It was excellent!
