"Good morning, I placed an order referring to this email and the courier contacted me for delivery and for the payment of customs charges/duties for a total of 64.40 Euros which, added to the express shipping costs chosen by me with an additional cost of around 7 Euros on the standard ones, brought the cost of additional charges to over 60% of the cost of the product purchased. I've already called myself an idiot for thinking I was doing the right thing by purchasing quality used shoes! It is true that you indicate that you do not give indications on the costs of customs clearance/duties, but it is now clear why, you intend to mislead on the real overall costs of what you propose, of the series: shoes, used, at an affordable price, but then you have to pay the "soling", which coincidentally does not concern you. I have purchased in China, USA, Australia, South America, apart from having always had prior indication of any duties or customs costs in a transparent manner, they have never reached 40% and without going into the merits of the relevant legal regulations A TRUE M......... (this is the expression attributed to Cambron in Waterloo, so to speak). I have already paid the courier the above charges which indicates delivery for next Monday, I hope that the product is appropriate, not to what I paid, but to what I saw on the site. Next Monday, after the withdrawal, it will be my responsibility to file a "COMPLAINT" with the competent Italian and United Kingdom bodies so that, based on what happened, they can, if necessary, proceed against you if they see the terms! I can imagine someone who is careful about expenses finding himself in this situation; how could he feel cheated, as it happens that as far as I'm concerned I would be able to spend to have fun making you suffer, but the satisfaction is certainly not worth the burden! I will immediately report what happened to me on the rating sites. I'm not interested in your arguments on the matter, such as order cancellation, refund, etc. , just the pleasure of no longer having to deal with you, TO NEVER AGAIN'. I repeat myself with another example: I come to his shop, I buy a product, but when I go out, the door attendant tells me that to let me out I have to pay reckless sums! As I told you, tomorrow I will proceed to report your actions to the competent authorities, they will intervene if necessary, I have already called myself an idiot for having used you, I can only reiterate to you what has already been indicated. Jan 24,2024Abbot's is wonderful and they've earned a customer for life. Shoes are fairly described, well-restored, and delivered in a timely manner. Returns are prohibitively expensive if you're outside of the UK, so make sure you're sure, but Abbot's represents a great opportunity to get well-made, heritage shoes at a discount, all while minimizing your impact by buying new. Great experience.
