Dec 06,2023The teams amazing, the service is amazing, guides are amazing, they did they’re very best to get me up, if they you see struggling they will walk with you one on one, they will carry your stuff, they designate snack and drink breaks, if your goal is to see the summit but your having a hard time barring any medical setbacks, they will get you there. They are excellent, choose them to see Killy!!!

Dec 02,2023I hiked up Kilimanjaro with Altezza and loved every moment. Even though we got rained on every day, and had no view from Uhuru Peak due to clouds and ice, I highly recommend the trip! The guides are amazing, and the porters are super helpful and friendly! Looking forward to more adventures with Altezza!

Nov 30,2023The guides and porters with Altezza were the absolute best and made our experience so comfortable and enjoyable. They far exceeded our expectations and we would 10/10 recommend them to anyone planning to climb Kilimanjaro. Our guides, Wisen and Rashidi, each had over a decade of experience and were super knowledgeable, anticipating our needs and struggles and always there to support. Our camp master Humphrey kept everything in order and is a wonderful and enthusiastic singer! Our chef Hasan cooked delicious and nutritious meals every day. Our waiter Idi was always a delight and gently encouraging us to eat more to have energy. Our porter Juma made sure our portable toilet was the first thing set up at every camp. Special shoutout to Faraja the porter who helped carry my backpack on the summit. And all the other porters who made this possible!

Nov 25,2023I booked the Kilimanjaro summit hike, 5 day Marangu route. The Altezza team were amazing, super friendly and they couldn’t do enough for you. We had 2 very experienced guides (Elia & Stanley) for a group of 4 hikers. In addition we had 10 support staff on the mountain with us all playing important roles. Elia really helped to keep the positive energy through the tough periods, he is such a caring person and your wellbeing will be his number 1 priority. Stanley went out his way to get me a local SIM card for my mobile to stay in touch with family and helped me with my gear and even lent me his knee brace for the decent. The staff really made the trip and Altezza have been great with logistics / helping with any questions. Overall amazing experience with Altezza, they impressed me and consistently overdelivered!

Nov 24,2023Had an amazing experience with Altezza this November doing their safari and Kilimanjaro expedition. From beginning to end, the experience was premium. All of the staff were incredible in their knowledge and experience. In particular, Ali our safari guide, had an amazing breadth of knowledge and an amazing attention to detail which resulted in him predicting a cheetah hunt hours before it happened and us having front row seats to the action! Elia our trek guide had this amazing combination of positive energy and “real talk” (like telling you if your pain was all mental instead of physical) which pushed our entire group through to the summit (when less than 25% of people including the other travel groups did on a particularly harsh snowy day). Stanley, our other guide, was a perpetually cool and collected presence and towards summit when I felt weak and despaired, made all these small adjustments for me, like forcing me to rehydrate by feeding me water and food and taking photos for me when I felt too weak to. Last but not least, all the people behind the scenes including the managers, porters and drivers were all very friendly and professional and made the whole experience seamless. All in all, Altezza was a fantastic company to visit Tanzania with - could not say enough positive things about them in a short review!

Nov 24,2023Not the most affordable trip but it’s worth every penny. I would recommend Altezza to my friends coming to Tanzania for sure. Operation and logistics were 10/10, everything was planned and executed flawlessly, even after changes from our end. We did the 6-day Marangu route and this was led by very experienced guides Elia & Stanley. Sure, everyone says their guides are experienced but these two showed that they really do know their way when the trail was completely concealed by snow. Only 6 out of 20 something trekkers made it to the peak that day and 4 were from our group. Besides the guides, the porters, chef and waiter were absolutely amazing people. They go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable trekking experience and provide beyond what’s in their job description. We also did 4 day safari with Altezza which was also amazing. Our guide Ali has a 3 year course under his belt and his knowledge was beyond my expectation. I will definitely ask for his guidance when I take my family to Tanzania in the future.

Nov 16,2023The Working Team was awsome! Also good organization of transportation. One star less because of issues with hosting hotel before and after expedition. No warm water for taking shower. Also some issues with printing certification after expedition. But in total the team of Altezza did very good job. My recommendation: never make it in November. In 5 of 7 days it was non-stop raining and always foggy. No possiblity to dry clothes and gears. It was terrible experience of nature.

Nov 03,2023I like adventures like climbing! I like the nature such as flowers, animals etc. The chief guide and his team did an excellent job and had everything under control at any time. Good food and very nice and friendly personal to serve the meals. Hot water to wash in any place, nice idea to have a hot water bottle for the nights. Great jobs of the porters to bring all the duffle bags to each stations. Health checks mornings and evenings to secure security at any time! Overall great experience in Tansania 🇹🇿. 🙏🏔️🥾

Nov 03,2023Experienced and friendly staff, starting from Hotel, Administration to Trekking-Team, sort of unified effort to make hike a wonderful adventure! Professional guides with well trained support team. Attention to details and needs to every single participant. Well equipped medical kit and oxygen tanks (luckely none of our group needed it!). Every morning/evening check of blood saturation and overall well being of each participant. Good, varied and abundant food during trip. Nice but extremly helpful 'goodies': hot waterbottle for the sleeping bag, warm water for washing placed in front of Hut and a cup of hot tea, coffee or chocolate after wakeup call - thank you! Availability of renting any trekking gear at Hotel in advance or on spot! This was my first trekking and so cannot compare it with other operators.

Восхождение на Килиманджаро не могло пройти успешнее: команда помогала во всем, нам не надо было тратить время на установление палаток, на приготовление еды и других организационных моментов. Гиды всегда находили и удерживали комфортный нам темп. Также в тяжелые морально моменты всегда поддерживали, находили нужные слова. Стоит отметить что еда была очень качественной и в больших количествах. Даже когда казалось что аппетита нет, видя еду, все равно кушали) всем, кто хочет обеспечить себе активный отдых с комфортном советую Altezza

Dec 19,2021Fantastic experience One of the guys in the group said it best. They make Kilimanjaro climb so comfortable that it's hard to feel like a hero. Don't be mistaken though karma that last day is borderline torturous and not to be underestimated. What a fantastic group. Clearly the cream has risen to the top and overcome the difficulties of COVID.

It was an experience I will never forget, thanks to their attention to detail, genuine concern for my safety and wellbeing, and a sincere desire to offer top notch service throughout the journey. We then continued on to a one week WOW safari organized by Altezza. A sincere thank you to Alex, Stasia, Anna, Baraka, Victor and Balthazar for making me feel so well cared for, and an extended thanks to the hotel staff, our safari driver Omary and the entire team for their professionalism and warm hearts. I will never forget Africa...or the gentle people who call it home.

Sep 12,2021I used this company for my Kilimanjaro climb. I did a lot of research and this company had the best reviews. In addition, they are very reasonably priced and offered a 6-day Lemosho route that fit my budget and time frame. From the beginning the company was very responsive and answered all of my questions. I dealt with Anna and she’s very professional and thorough. As soon as I got to the airport I had a driver waiting and he was super nice. I stayed at the Aishi Machame resort before and after the climb which was very nice. The climb was so fun from beginning to end. I was in a three person group and our main guide was Rashid who was AMAZING. He’s so sweet and so knowledgeable and never pushes you on the hikes. Pole Pole (you’ll learn what that means once you hit the trails). On the day of the summit I expressed to him that the group was going a bit slow for my pace and he let me go up the mountain with the other guide, Noelle. Rashid is the best! The rest of the crew was so nice and accommodating. I’ll say this, Altezza definitely has the best tents on the mountain. Food was great. Everything ran perfectly. Thank you guys so much for making Kilimanjaro such an awesome experience for me! I would recommend them 100 percent.

Jul 18,2021We had an unforgettable experience last week on this tour. We were a group of 4 women with limited to some hiking experience. Anna and Stasia from Altezza were very responsive leading up to our booking. They were very easy and transparent regarding all the booking details. During the trip, our guides Baraka and Gerald were highly professional throughout our trek. They made sure that we were as comfortable as possible. This included all the small things, such as making sure we got enough lights for dinner and bringing more if we needed, as well as the big things, such as making sure that we summited! Baraka and Gerald were highly experienced as guides, and made sure to adjust their walking speeds to the individual needs of our group. They were also very personable, friendly and extremely approachable if we ever had questions (and we had many!). In addition, the rest of the crew (there were 20 people in total), that helped us were all highly attentive and very competent- we could not have done this without them. The food from our chef Justin was delicious - we’ve never had soup as creamy and eggs cooked the way he makes them- it stood out as unparalleled hiking food! Our server Benson told us really funny stories about his many trips in the mountains while he prepared dinner. The rest of the crew who worked behind the scenes tirelessly made everything seamless! We couldn’t have asked for more. Some tips in addition to the other ones you may find online: 1. Bring Vaseline - it gets really dry in the mountains so that would really help. 2. It also gets very dusty in the mountain, so if you have dust allergies, you might need some medication. Even if you are not allergic to dust, it may be good to bring a bandana or something equivalent to keep off the dust. 3. Rent the portable toilet!!! It is much better than the public restrooms, and relatively clean. Much more convenient if you need to go at night. 4. Bring an extra roll of toilet paper- you won’t need it for the toile if you rent the portable toilet, but it is useful if your nose runs because it gets cold. 5. Bring extra hand warmers if you can. In addition to using them on Summit Day, some mornings are also cold. The crew does give you heated rubber bottles for warmth as well- so this is just for extra comfort. 6. Bring mouthwash! Some nights are somewhat cold, so you may choose to mouthwash rather than do the full floss/brush. Makes you feel cleaner for sure. Same goes for disposable baby wipes in addition to a camping towel (quick dry so you don’t have to use a wet one the next day!) 7. Bring extra snacks if you can- the crew never will ask you for food, but we think they really appreciate it when you share. Same goes for anything else you think you can spare. Sharing is caring! 8. Ask questions! We learned quite a bit about the mountains and the lives of our entire crew when we did- it was very rewarding learning more about the local culture and language.

May 10,2021We made no mistake having picked Altezza for our week-long safari in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti Nationak Parks this March. It was an adventure of a lifetime in a true sense of this expression. We'd been planning it long before covid, and it gave us such a release after a tough year. Amazing teamwork, amazing guide Tom who was always ready to share his encyclopedic knowledge with us. Simply stunning nature and selection of lodgings. My life would definitely be incomplete without this experience.
