I saw that card payments used to be accepted, but when I called and asked about paying with my card (I do this so if something isn't delivered, I can cancel and dispute charges) however, the representative suggested to make payment via Zelle as its quick and easy. I've never used Zelle so I figured I'd give it a try. I did and payment was received that same day. 7 days pass and I still had not received an update, I had a gift in the order that would not make it in time for the function. So I called to try and cancel the order on Thursday 9/10, rep said that they will check with the warehouse to try and expedite the order and that Id receive an update before the end of day or Friday. Didn't receive an update. Called again on Monday 9/14, order was still not cancelled. I asked to have it cancelled and processed for the refund, rep gave me the run around that it's in progress and funds will be made available "soon". I called Wednesday 9/16 because I still had not received an email about the cancellation. The rep got pretty snappy with me when I mentioned that if I have to, I'd fly out to their location to talk to someone about my $165. She scoffed and said "You'd really fly out for just $165?" I exclaimed that yes I would, and to prove the point that y'all's customer service isn't appropriate and remarks like that in regards to refunds and service recovery show this." Anne, Emma, Sarah, whatever names this female gives out is terrible. I had asked to give me the phone number of their accounting department so that I may speak with them about refunding my money. She claims she had no phone contact for them and to just contact using the email on the website. I cannot fathom employees who would not go the extra lengths to provide service recovery. This issue appears to be a huge problem for them. The female then proceeded to exclaim that I'm "getting all worked up for only $165". Again, bad service and very poor attitude towards paying customers. Extra Detailed Info Date of last interaction with business: 09/17/2020 Update: Got the email confirmation that my order was finally cancelled 9/22. I also received a phone call 9/22/2020 from Sarah. Wasn’t able to pick up the phone since I was at work. Voice message was in attempt to contact me for my email and phone number for the Zelle refund. I was able to send an email back to the email address provided that same day. Have not heard anything back from them since. I sent an email for follow up 9/29 and 10/04. No response to the 9/29 email inquiry for follow up.
BEWARE! American Heritage Bullion has stolen my $1,000.00 They could not fulfill an order I placed for silver, so they told me they were cancelling my order and processing a refund. They guaranteed the refund over the phone, and then again by email. I have been trying to reach them through all contact means available, but now they have disappeared without any return phone calls or emails.. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.. But looks like they don't care about that, since now I see they are running this same scam on several others. STAY FAR AWAY! Read the reviews... They are not exaggerating.. UPDATE: After numerous calls and emails to AMH, and filing complaint reviews with Trust Pilot, the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission, AMH has finally refunded my money. I pretty certain I would have never seen the refund if it were not calling them out on their non performance and non communication. Thank you again!
On a scale of 1 to 5 stars they get a zero rating. I ordered a 1795 half cent advertised. I put it on layaway for 12 months. The price was $843.98. I started the layaway in December 2019. I decided to pay off the balance in July. I had to wait for them to set up so I can pay off the balance which took 2 weeks. It took them 1 month and 3 weeks to send me the coin only to find out it was not the coin I ordered. It was a 1795 large cent worth $200 dollars. I called numerous times asking why it was taking so long for them to send me the coin. The same girl always answered the phone saying she was looking in to it. I payed off the coin July 8 and did not receive the coin until August 18. They sent it through FedEx ground. Fedex left the package on my door step and never knocked on the door. Like Amazon does. I would recommend nobody buy from this company. You will lose money. They are nothing but a big joke nothing but a hoax. I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
This company uses unscrupulous deceptive practices! I pre-ordered 20 ounces of silver and received a confirmation of the purchase for shipment to be delayed approximately 6-weeks. On the day that shipment was to happen, having not received a confirmation, I called the company and was told that a "computer problem" happened and that my order hadn't been placed. I was offered a new order at todays price - nearly double in price. They simply got caught in the price escalation and didn't honor orders at pre-sale prices. Don't get cheated by this CHEATING company.
Placed order and made payment. Order was never filled and when I contacted them to inquire they summarily cancelled the order without explanation and have not refunded money. Request to fulfill the order has gone unanswered. This is typical as their customer service is unresponsive. Further research indicates that this company is not listed as doing business in California and the signer on the check and company Coin Collectors, LLC is suspended form doing business in California. I wired ( via Zelle) over $11,445.03 in March 2020 for a monster box of silver coins. After 2 months of delays, I initiated a refund in June. After several weeks, I was told they mailed the refund, then they needed to verify my address- in that order. Im still waiting to get a tracking number for the refund as of July 30, 2020. Do NOT believe other review sites like verified-reviews. The reviews on Verified Reviews are only from people American Heritage Bullion invites to review. So, no negative reviews. I’ve contacted the BBB and the CA AG office, and the FTC. I also asked my bank, Bank of America, for help since I used Zelle. BofA reached out to AHM to ask them to refund the money, they declined. Update- within 16 minutes of this first post, American Heritage replied saying they do not recognize me as a customer. I sent them my order number and address, again. I will continue to provide updates here to keep the review current. Update- July 30, 2020. I received an email from Stephanie, which is copied and pasted here- “Looks like a replacement check was sent in the amount $11,445.03 to the address below and you should receive next week. I am checking to see if we have a tracking number and I will forward once I receive.“ I will continue to update with further news. Update- August 6, 1 week later. The company has not replied to my request for a check number or tracking information. I have not received the refund. August 10- no check and no reply from the company. J August 14- Sarah, from American Heritage Bullion reached out to ask for wire information. She claims they will refund the full amount today or tomorrow. August 18- finally received full refund today by wire. However, today, their website is selling a monster box of silver for over $19,000. That’s $8,200 more than the price in March and should’ve been my gain. They also claim they can mail the coins between 8/21-9/2. I guess they just couldn’t mail these coins to me. For Weeks, NO UPDATES & NO DELIVERY, spent hours on hold with so called customer service. Filled complaint(s), then received a call that AHB NEVER HAD THE COINS IN STOCK, and was issued a refund. Do research and you will realize, why you should NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AHB.
My 2020 silver dollar is absolutely Perfect for my Grandson's 2020 Az St. University graduation as I started him collecting "coins" when he was about 8 yrs old ! He will be starting Law school soon ! Thx for making me the Best Grama ever, in his eyes !!!
Great customer service and fast shipping. Upgraded to two day Fedex on the free economy shipping. Given my order size was larger, this is kind of expected but the offer is nice since I didn't have to pay for it. Very happy with my purchase.
The review I wrote stating they were a scam and stole my $3,113.86 and said they didn’t have an order for this person. I do not have a Facebook so I used my husbands google account. That’s why it’s in his name. But these people know who I am and know what they did. My husband called them dozen of times as well. My name is Shirley Martin. My order number is AHM-6274. If you say You don’t have an order you are liars. Respond to this review. They cashed my check and ran!!!! Lied and stalled for weeks. These people are scammers. So I ordered a coin that was sold out at my go to place. I was told that shipping would be 3-5 days. Well I didn't hear anything so I called. After several back and forth calls and emails everything is now sorted out.

This is scam. They provide opportunity to save 5% by sending in check. Once they have the money, they make empty promises on sending the merchandise and only have 1 person answering the phone. Their office is just a PO BOx. Buyer beware. I am down $2300 and have yet to get money or my gold. Looking for advise on how to Recoup. Opened case with BBB #712799 but will be contacting my attorney now as appears this has happened to many and they continue to operate...disgusted with the better business bureau and even more disappointed I had not paid 5% with a credit card and had that insurance. His attorney called me and said, "I have a check with your name on it." First, send a registered letter to the company. Tell them what you want and end the letter with "or there will be consequences." Beverly Hills Police Department (I started by filing a complaint at a local police station.) California Attorney General FBI--Federal Bureau of Investigation (Business is conducted across state lines so the FBI's white collar crime unit can deal with the case.)
