Amplitude Hearing could not have provided a better service. Alan Sanderson PhD put me at my ease, was extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what he was doing and about the problems I was having. Being a musician, I required a detailed hearing test, and Alan provided this, along with top level ear protection . Highly recommended. Thank you.

Alan impresses immediately with a friendly manner (he’s a Northerner) allied to considerable expertise (he’s a PhD and lectures at Brighton University) and a practical and thorough approach. Consultations are meticulous and do not finish till Alan has fully diagnosed and treated the hearing issue. There is no hard sell - Alan wants to be sure he has solved a problem, not racked up a sale.

Alan from amplitude has changed my fathers life. The care knowledge attention to detail thoroughness technical ability was absolutely outstanding. He even adapted the testing to my fathers arthritic hands. He followed up until it was literally perfect including ordering and explaining gadgets for restaurants and TV and removing ear wax.There was no hard sell.Literally Alan has changed my dads life He is hearing for the first time in years when other companies/ stores and said nothing more could be done.

I visited Alan at Amplitude Hearing as I had been suffering with tinnitus and was worried about the impact this was having to my mental health along with any possible hearing loss. The session was massively helpful and was very reassuring, Alan was able to explain what was happening from a medical perspective and also psychological. I had a hearing test and was able to better understand why I was experiencing some of the issues. Alan is very professional and gave a lot of context and insight into what was happening and how I could better manage tinnitus. The session has made a significant difference and I couldn’t recommend Alan more!!

I went to Amplitude Hearing on the recommendation of a friend who is a retired GP. The first reason I needed help was that I would regularly get ear infections when swimming abroad on holiday. Conor gave my ears a very thorough clean out and testing session and took an internal cast of my ears to have custom swim plugs made. Also, as a musician, I have to protect my hearing, which can be damaged under certain conditions. Conor was able to advise and provide custom earplugs, which filter out damaging noise, whilst still allowing me to function and hear what I need to. I can wholeheartedly recommend this exemplary and friendly service.

I’ve seen Conor twice and definitely recommend him. He is professional and thorough. He is always very responsive and accommodating when I’ve needed an appointment as he understands how upsetting it is when struggling to hear/ pop my ears. The first time I had a wax build up and he removed it well, the second time I thought I had wax but I actually had an inner ear infection - Conor showed me the photos of my ear/ ear drum and conducted a pressure test. He explained the issue and wrote a follow up email/photo for me to share with my doctor - I was prescribed antibiotics and my ear feels much better!

As a professional musician, I was in a complete panic and was desperate for information and advice about my sudden onset of tinnitus, and if I had caused damaged to my ears. Alan took over an hour of his time just to listen to my stresses and concerns, informing and reassuring me that having tinnitus as a musician was manageable and not the end of the world. This alone reduced my stress and helped sort a good 80% of the issue. The hearing test was quick to do and the data also provided a concrete source of relief. I cannot express how helpful it was to be able to share the panic of sudden hearing problems with a professional who also has a musical background. I felt heard and supported, and proceeded to get my amazing new hearing protection plugs through Amplitude Hearing too - I wish I had gone to them sooner.

I went to see Conor and he diagnosed my ear problem quickly and efficiently. All the equipment is hi tec and I loved seeing inside my ear! He has a lovely manor and I would absolutely recommend him. He is now my no 1 ear guy.

I cannot praise this Company enough. I had been left 8 weeks without any functioning hearing aids or remote. The company I was dealing with went into liquidation and I was left high and dry with no way forward. Who came to the rescue? Connor... He gave me a thorough hearing test and recalibrated my remote and now I am "a happy bunny". Seriously, this is the Company to use - no other - true professionals. Thank you.

I went to see Alan at Amplitude because I was worried about tinnitus / hearing loss, and wanted to purchase some custom earplugs to wear at gigs, festivals and clubs. Alan did a hearing test and made some impressions of my ears, before ordering the earplugs I wanted from the manufacturer (ACS). Alan is an extremely friendly and knowledgeable clinician who took the time to listen to my issues and explain everything really well. The earplugs work perfectly and I would definitely go and see Alan again. Thanks!

Went to see Conor as I have been deaf in my right ear for over 8 weeks. It took less than 5 minutes and I was able to hear perfectly again. Totally pain-free, esqusit process and done to the highest quality. Would absolutely recommend and will go back for any follow up or future appointments. Flawless professionalism.

I was experiencing a bit of dizziness after going on a cruise. While I figured it was just the lasting effects of the cruise, I thought it would be beneficial to get my ears checked (since I am aware that your ears affect balance). Thus, I set up an appointment with Conor at the North Clinic. The staff at the front desk was super nice and this continued when I saw Conor. He performed a few tests just to make sure that everything was ok and walked me through the process (and showed me everything). Thankfully, everything was in good shape and no further action is needed (the dizziness from the cruise has gone away). However, if I ever needed to get my ears looked at again, I wouldn’t hesitate to visit Conor at the North Clinic. Great experience!

Alan conducted the home visit with utmost professionalism. He checked my hearing experience meticulously and acknowledged my history of ear trouble as a child.He removed wax from my blocked ear completely painlessly and then gave me a thorough hearing test. He explained each stage of the procedures clearly and required only a clean surface, a stable chair for me and an electric point for his equipment. I am absolutely delighted and reassured by the outcome of his visit and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him as an obviously extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled practitioner.
